Today is World Bee Day! Help native bees by: Plant a native garden, even if it’s just a few square feet. Leave decaying branches and tree stumps for wood-nesting bees. Leave areas of soil untilled, unmulched and uncovered for ground-nesting bees. How do you enjoy the bees?

Beans prefer direct planting & are great for succession planting. Plant a row today, plant another row in two weeks, another row two weeks from then, & so on. You’ll have continuing harvest all summer long - and never too much to eat. mosserlee.com

Sunflowers are best started outside, even in a container. A good rule of thumb - the seed hole should be about twice as deep as the seed is long. Fill the holes with NoDampOff and water, giving that flower the best start possible. mosserlee.com

If you feel you’ve missed seed starting season, never fear! Some seeds are better started outside. Space carrots & radishes on soil as recommended. Cover with NoDampOff instead of soil & water. NoDampOff will help prevent the seeds from drying out. mosserlee.com
