Today, I'm excited to share that the first two—AWS Security Agent and AWS DevOps Agent—are now generally available: https://lnkd.in/gc5KpFbS Unlike traditional AI assistants that help with individual tasks, frontier agents work don’t need constant direction. These agents operate autonomously to solve complex problems, make decisions across multiple steps, and run persistently for hours or days until they accomplish their objectives. Here’s more on what these new class of agents can accomplish for your business: 🟠 We built AWS Security Agent with insights from operating security at Amazon scale and it’s changing how customers approach application security. Most organizations limit manual penetration testing to their most critical applications due to time and cost constraints, leaving the majority of their portfolio exposed. AWS Security Agent transforms penetration testing from a periodic event, typically covering a handful of applications on an annual or infrequent cadence, into a continuous, context-aware capability that increases the speed, frequency, and coverage of security testing across your entire application portfolio. AWS Security Agent operates like a human penetration tester. By ingesting your design documentation, source code, and architecture diagrams, it conducts context-aware analysis to uncover the critical vulnerabilities that matter to your business. In preview we helped customers like Scout24 SE, SmugMug, HENNGE, LG CNS, Bamboo Health, Wayspring, Classmethod, Inc., and SIXT gain deeper insights, faster, more frequently across more of their portfolios. 🟠 AWS DevOps Agent is your always-available operations teammate that resolves and proactively prevents incidents across AWS, multicloud, and on-premises environments. When incidents occur, it autonomously investigates root causes by correlating telemetry, code, and deployment data across your entire stack. It begins investigating the moment an alert comes in—whether at 2 AM or during peak hours—to reduce MTTR and quickly restore your application to optimal performance. We've helped customers such as United Airlines, T-Mobile, Western Governors University and Zenchef achieve lower MTTR and faster investigations, enabling 3–5x faster incident resolution. The pattern is clear: success comes down to leadership alignment, building the right capabilities, and having the confidence to scale thoughtfully. Europe has strong fundamentals and huge potential—€1.4 trillion in GDP growth over the next decade according to recent research. [4] Now it's about execution. Interesting numbers coming out of Europe: businesses increased their AI investment by 26% this year. That's real momentum. What's fascinating is that only 31% actually have a formal AI strategy in place. It feels like we're in that classic phase where enthusiasm is outpacing planning. Some context that caught my attention: • AI adoption across Europe hit 54% (up from 33% just two years ago) • Companies that embed AI deeper into their operations are 55% more likely to see meaningful productivity gains • European businesses increasingly prioritize multi-region infrastructure for resilience and compliance. For perspective: Singapore's leading globally at 66% adoption, while US continues to dominate funding with $109B compared to Europe's $8B. Allana Barber reacted on thisAllana Barber reacted on thisI've been thinking a lot lately about the Amazon PRFAQ — and whether we're still using it the right way. When I started at Amazon, the PRFAQ was how innovation happened. You worked backwards from the customer, wrote the press release as if the product already existed, and then spent weeks — sometimes months — stress-testing every assumption in the FAQ. For MBA interns, a strong PRFAQ was the whole summer. It was proof you could think, collaborate, and organize a complex idea into something actionable. That process made a lot of sense when building anything real was expensive and slow. The document was a forcing function. You had to be right on paper before you could afford to be wrong in code. But the cost of building has collapsed. A working prototype that once required a dedicated engineering sprint can now come together in a few days with the right AI tools. Which means the tradeoff has flipped. Spending six weeks perfecting a PRFAQ for an idea you could test with customers in two days isn't rigor — it's delay. What I'd rather see now: a shorter document that captures the long-term vision and the core customer insight, paired with a clear statement of what you're testing and what success looks like. Then build the scrappiest version possible and get it in front of real people. The prototype will be imperfect. You know that going in. The point is the learning, not the launch. This is the two-way door in practice. Most ideas don't need a one-way door process. They need a fast, cheap, reversible test — and then another one. Write less. Build sooner. Learn faster.

Allana Barber reacted on thisAllana Barber reacted on thisFifteen years at Amazon this week – I'm officially turning purple! 💜 I started in our (then) Slough office in 2011, where we quickly outgrew the space and held team meetings in church halls, curry houses, and the local cinema! Fast forward to today, and while my role and the Shoreditch office look very different, the core of what we do hasn't changed at all. Still working hard, having fun and making history. I’m enormously grateful to everyone who's been part of the journey – from the bosses who've supported me, to the teams who've delivered time and again, to the community partners who remind us why we're here and to the customers who inspire us to do better every single day. Still learning. Still grateful. Still Day One. 💜

Today we’re making that real with the general availability of AWS DevOps Agent and AWS Security Agent — part of a new class of systems we call frontier agents. Unlike traditional tools, frontier agents don’t just respond to prompts — they work autonomously across multiple steps to achieve outcomes, operating continuously until the job is done. One helps you run cloud operations — investigating incidents, reducing time to resolution, and preventing issues before they happen. Customers like United Airlines, Western Governors University, and T-Mobile are already using DevOps Agent to accelerate incident response and simplify operations at scale. At WGU, resolution time dropped from hours to minutes, and in preview customers report up to 75% lower MTTR and 3–5x faster resolution. The other helps you secure them — bringing continuous, context-aware penetration testing into the development lifecycle. Customers including LG CNS, HENNGE, and Wayspring are seeing strong results. At LG CNS, teams estimate over 50% faster testing and ~30% lower costs, along with significantly fewer false positives. Both are designed to work across Amazon Web Services (AWS), multicloud, and on-prem environments. The goal is simple: give teams an always-available teammate that can handle the heavy lifting, so builders can focus on what matters most.
