Bill Pritchard shared thisDespite their idiosyncrasies, motor and cognitive learning and endurance sports training have in common that they involve repeated practice. To run a marathon the body requires structured intervals of training and rest, should learning something new not require a similar approach? Learning is a process, and everyone adapts to different levels of training or needs different processes to learn. While considerable research has been devoted to the effect of practice on performance, little is known about optimal practice strategies. In our increasingly data-driven world the opportunity to develop tools and models to optimise practice strategies is evident, and data generated from smart watches, phones and computers is an ideal starting point. Most of us finish formal education before we hit 30, but with the incredible speed of change, we must continue to acquire new skills to be relevant. As we age, we find ourselves with ever more responsibilities and ever less time, so developing an optimised curriculum through data driven strategies will ensure that practice does make perfect. #learning #peopleanalytics #peopledevelopment

Bill Pritchard shared thisBill Pritchard shared thisIn April, FORTUNE found that there were more men named Peter than there were women in the chief executive ranks. It's no secret that there's a business case for gender diversity - but let's look into the numbers. FTSE 350 companies that have executive committees with at least 33% female representation have a net profit margin over 10 times that of companies with no women at that level—15.2% versus 1.5%. In fact, this year’s study found that the gap in net profit margin between companies with executive committee-level women and those without is the biggest recorded in five years of research. So then why are we inching along? #boarddiversity #executivesearch #futureofbusiness #futureofwork #equityandinclusion

Bill Pritchard shared thisLeaders know that not all talent is created equally. With the effects of Covid-19 being felt across the corporate world, it's now more critical than ever for leadership to have the right person on the right task. All companies must balance both "run the business" and "change the business" projects, with the latter often becoming overshadowed by the perceived urgency of the former. The rapid change forced by Covid-19 has given many companies a renewed sense of momentum and a fresh understanding of what is possible. The time is right for identifying the innovators and game changers, and giving them the freedom to genuinely move the dial and seize opportunities which, until now, may have proved elusive. #innovation #balance #talentmanagement

Bill Pritchard shared thisAs many of us begin to hesitantly peer out from our respective bubbles, the question of returning to work is at the forefront of leaders' agendas. Whether to get people back as quickly as possible, move to a hybrid working model, or ditch permanent office space altogether. Businesses have reorganised and resized, whilst their people have been through uncertainty, anxiety, and maybe even personal tragedy. Now more than ever, leadership must provide clear and empathetic communication not just to bolster productivity, but to reestablish what it means to be part of a company and part of a team. #leadership #communication #empathy

Bill Pritchard shared thisFascinating to consider this corporate complicatedness data from pre-lockdown. I think it's safe to say in the post-lockdown normal we may find the numbers significantly altered - but in which direction? As we've become used to 'jumping on a Teams' or having a 'quick Slack' surely these may take the place of rigid, often inefficient and, for many, unnecessary meetings? That being said, the ever increasing number of access points we have to one another may actually do the opposite, leading to a distracting and inefficient 'always on' culture. #executivesearch #peopleandculture #digitalchange #digitalworkforce #productivityBill Pritchard shared thisMeetings and email are routinely bashed as unproductive time sinks. But in BCG’s latest corporate complicatedness survey, we found the highest-performing companies continue to rely on these office mainstays. Here's how to make them count: https://on.bcg.com/2NRsVFW

After a super relaxing break, I'm very excited to share that I have joined Shield AI as Lead Talent Acquisition Partner to support the rapid growth plans across the APJ region. What attracted me to Shield AI was the mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems, the cutting-edge and market leading AI and automation technology and most importantly the people, including having the opportunity to reunite with some familiar faces... Alicja Nelka Kelly Cartwright Sharyl Givens Gary Steele! Building teams in a company working at the intersection of AI, Autonomy and Defence is certainly a little different from anything I've done before - and that's what makes it so exciting. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and helping Shield AI hire the talent we need for the next stage of the growth journey we are on. Bill Pritchard liked thisBill Pritchard liked thisI’m pleased to share that I’ve recently been promoted to Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates and started an exciting new chapter with the firm in Singapore. Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region will now be the primary focus of my role, while I continue to work with technology clients globally and stay close to the relationships I have built across Europe and the US over the past several years. I’m very grateful to the many colleagues in London who have supported me and helped me build my career at RRA so far, particularly David Mills, Sean Roberts, Tristan Jervis and the outstanding UK Technology team. I’m equally grateful to the clients who have trusted us to support them on some of their most important leadership topics. And a big thank you to the team in Singapore for the opportunity and such a warm welcome, particularly Dan Cullen and Euan Kenworthy. Over the coming months, I’ll be spending as much time as possible getting to know the market, meeting people across the region and learning from those who know it well. I’m looking forward to exchanging perspectives with leaders across APAC on the talent, succession and leadership questions shaping their businesses, and sharing some of what I’ve learned working with clients in other markets around the world.

Bill Pritchard liked thisBill Pritchard liked thisToday is a deeply meaningful day for all of us at Tazapay. We are thrilled to announce that Circle has signed an agreement to acquire Tazapay, with closing subject to customary closing conditions and the receipt of regulatory approvals. Six years ago, Tazapay began in a small room in Singapore with a simple but ambitious belief: businesses in emerging markets should be able to participate in the global economy as seamlessly as anyone else. Our mission was to connect these markets to the rest of the world through the local payment networks that people and businesses already trust and use every day. The journey has been anything but straightforward. We have navigated complex ecosystems, regulatory nuances, and the realities of building market by market. There have been difficult moments, constant learning, and many reasons to keep going. But through it all, our team has continued to build with conviction. Stablecoins have supercharged what is possible, helping us imagine a global money-movement network that is instant, accessible, and no longer constrained by the traditional burden of pre-funding. What this transaction brings together is three things that have never been combined at scale: regulated stablecoin issuance, a global financial platform built for internet speed, and the compliant bridging infrastructure that connects stablecoins to local money in the markets where it matters most. Tazapay is that last piece. We are excited to continue this journey with Circle and to build what comes next together. After a 20-year corporate career, I started Tazapay with the hope of building something meaningful. These past six years have been the most challenging, humbling, and rewarding of my career. I could not be more excited for the road ahead. I am enormously grateful to our investors, partners, former and current colleagues, and everyone who has believed in us and cheered us on along the way. This milestone belongs to all of you. And a special thank you to Kanupriya Sharda and Aayush Singhania— for being partners, critics, friends, and unwavering supporters through every phase of this journey. Onward.

Bill Pritchard liked thisBill Pritchard liked thisToday was my last day at Qualcomm. The last 4 years have been a demanding and rewarding period in my career. Qualcomm is a complex, deeply established organization, where driving a transformation at scale requires both impact and persistence. I’m proud to have contributed on both fronts alongside exceptional engineering teams globally. Together, we have made meaningful progress modernizing and scaling our software development practices: advancing mainlining of our software stacks, introducing hardware/software contracts, adopting industry standards, embracing open source, and moving toward a more developer-first mindset. More recently, we also introduced agentic AI workflows into our SDLC. Just as importantly, we helped drive the engineering culture toward one that is more open, collaborative, and transparent. Ultimately, this decision came down to alignment. My role was originally structured as a remote-based executive position, reflecting my belief that global engineering organizations are most effective when leaders stay closely connected to their teams, their customers, and the evolving needs of the markets they serve. I remain convinced that approach was an important contributor to the transformation we achieved together. As Qualcomm's expectations for my role evolved, my family responsibilities, including co-caring for my chronically ill daughter, remained unchanged. Given those realities, the requirement that I relocate full-time to San Diego was not a realistic option. As a result, I chose to resign. Rather than jumping immediately into another executive role, I've decided to do something entirely different: become a full-time student again. Over the next few months, I'll be immersing myself in an intensive language program to pursue a long-standing personal goal: achieving fluency in Mandarin. After decades of building global teams, products, organizations, and driving transformation, I'm looking forward to being a beginner again, even if that prospect is a bit daunting. I will also spend a lot more time with my family in Europe, recharge, and think intentionally about my next chapter. To my colleagues around the world: thank you for your partnership and contributions. It has been a real privilege to work alongside you, and I look forward to our paths crossing again.

The job has changed enormously, but the importance of brilliant industry friends has not. I learnt early on to surround myself with people who would elevate my knowledge and challenge my thinking. In that vein, I am hugely grateful to have been introduced to Emilio Domingo over 15 years ago. Over the years, we have had many conversations about our shared world of Private Equity advisory. It was one such discussion that led to our latest research, How PE Investors Select and Reassess Leaders from Entry to Exit. Our work combines Bain & Company’s full potential due diligence framework with a leadership underwriting model to assess whether a CEO has what it takes to deliver the value creation plan. Bill Pritchard liked thisBill Pritchard liked thisIn 2015, Amazon acquired a small chip design company called Annapurna Labs. The AI boom was still years away. The bet: purpose-built silicon for cloud workloads would deliver better performance at lower cost. 🎯 Fast forward to today — Amazon's custom chip business has reached a $25 billion annual revenue run rate, growing triple-digit percentages year over year. 📈 Graviton chips now power more than 130,000 customers, including 98% of the top 1,000 Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 customers. I've spent the past couple of years taking reporters inside our Austin chip lab, watching engineers weld microscopic circuits and power on silicon for the first time. This new About Amazon piece tells the full arc — from that 2015 acquisition through Graviton, Nitro, and Trainium to a business Jeff Bezos now calls Amazon's next "pillar." ⚡ Proud to help tell this story every day. 🙏 Read the full piece: https://lnkd.in/g-n-g5D7 #Amazon #AWS #Silicon #cloud #TechInnovation #AI #Chips Isaac Schultz Nafea Bshara Ron Diamant Kristopher King Mark Carroll Colin BraceHow Amazon became one of the world’s top chip companies in a decadeHow Amazon became one of the world’s top chip companies in a decade

Bill Pritchard reacted on thisBill Pritchard reacted on thisPersonal update: I’ve decided to join Amazon’s Annapurna Labs. After almost 20 years at Google, I look back with infinite gratitude at the projects we built, the lessons we learned, and the many brilliant folks I’ve had the privilege to work with. From the earliest days of the TPU program, we set out to do something hard and meaningful. I’ll always be proud of what we accomplished together. At the same time, I could not be more excited about this new challenge. New teams, new customers, new hardware, new challenges, and new ways to help. Annapurna’s hardware roadmap combined with Amazon’s reach is an incredible opportunity, and I can’t wait to be part of what’s next for Trainium.

My colleague Emma Castillo offers real insights into the London talent market. Compared to the German market, there are still some differences: at Cribb Executive Search, we are also observing the professional requirements for leadership roles; however, demand on our side remains more subdued when it comes to talent acquisition. ❔ How is it for you - are you already able to identify any changes? 🌟 Thanks for sharing, Emma!

If you run an in-house Executive TA pod, it aint about 'filling roles'. It’s about grip. Meta, Amazon Exec and Ernst & Young flex this with Loxo 🦉 Grip over: • Board-level stakeholders • Discreet, NDA’d pipelines • Competitive C-suite operators • Global, remote execution The 3 pains I see most: 1️⃣ Long-cycle, sensitive mandates with shifting direction 2️⃣ Competitive exec builds where leakage kills advantage 3️⃣ Inconsistent workflows across distributed teams Most systems weren’t built for that level. Loxo was. Not AI bolted on. Native, proprietary recruiting AI (6th gen) trained on recruiter workflows since 2012. 1.2B+ professionals mapped in a live Talent Intelligence Graph. AI agents sourcing. Automated outreach. Call summaries. CRM updating itself. The outcomes? ✔️ Competitive insulation ✔️ Board-ready visibility ✔️ Repeatable global execution That’s Talent Intelligence. Loxo are the Talent Intelligence Platform. If you’re leading an exec pod and want tighter grip over the market, stakeholders and data in 2026, I am here to share 🗣️ mjagger@loxo.co #TalentIntelligence #ExecutiveHiring #InHouseTA #CLevel #TAOps #AIinRecruiting

QU: Why should a candidate's salary matter if it's 40% below market rate? It's a great question from Hussain (I'd tag you if I could find you!) on my LinkedIn Live but what is market rate?! I'm not a fan of this terminology because there's an assumption that everyone starts from the same educational background No one wants to talk about it however a CV and Portfolio from someone in the UK (for example) who's studied for 7 years is vastly different from someone who's only studied for 2 years elsewhere. It's got nothing to do with "market rate" and everything to do with an individuals exposure Not just that but even with 7 years educational experience, there's a massive difference between universities, even with that many years educational background, dependant on the university That being said, I have personally plucked people from all sorts of universities who's Education isn't everything! There are absolutely AMAZING candidates who's attitude, passion and drive way over shines their academic background and they're now Directors at companies that every Architect would dream to work for So, "Market Rate" is a ridiculous term that I refuse to pander to... no matter which client of ours wants to understand "salary bands" or which candidate wants to understand "market rate" In my world, from where I'm sat: Companies - I know if someone is great, you'll pay what their worth Candidates - I know if you raise your game, you'll be paid the worth you show Go to AE Recruitment website and go through our free masterclasses, even the free stuff has so much value lt's time to raise the architectural industry guys, let's GO! #Architecture #Landscape #Salaries

If you're working with four search firms on the same role, the market notices. Here's what actually happens. The same senior engineer gets contacted by three different recruiters in the same week about your role. Each one gives a slightly different pitch because none of them have been briefed deeply enough to represent you well. The candidate hears a disorganized company. That impression forms before you ever get a chance to make your own case. It gets worse if the recruiter hears the candidate say they're already being put forward. A good search firm invests a lot of time upfront. They learn your stack, your culture, the actual problems the role exists to solve. That investment only makes sense if there's a reasonable chance of filling the role. When a firm knows they're one of four, they may deprioritize you. The quality drops, and over time you start to believe search firms just don't deliver, when the setup made that outcome inevitable. There's a reputational cost that compounds too. Candidates talk. When the same role is being shopped around by multiple agencies for months, people start to wonder what's wrong with the company. That perception sticks, and it makes every future hire harder. The companies that hire well at this level pick one firm and hold them accountable to a timeline. That's how you get a partner who actually understands what you need and represents you the way you'd represent yourself.
