Aquí va una historia de superación gracias al compromiso, trabajo y profesionalidad de un equipo multidisciplinar con un objetivo claro. Todo empezó con una llamada de última hora un jueves por la tarde: necesitamos asentar la categoría de Skincare en todos los canales y posicionarnos como retail de referencia para las máscaras faciales de fototerapia LED. Lo primero fue organizar una task force entre Compras, Partner Marketing, Online, Brand y Redes para repartir el trabajo. En mi caso, coordinar nuestro valor de mercado más diferencial: la experiencia física de las tiendas. Había que lanzar un piloto. Junto a Compras, decidimos probarlo en 5 puntos de venta. No era sencillo, no teníamos apenas tiempo, pero necesitábamos lanzarlo lo antes posible e ir perfeccionándolo poco a poco. Filosofía startup. Empezamos llamando a los equipos de tienda y nuestra agencia: -Hay que buscar una visibilidad premium para skincare en las tiendas. -También necesitamos muebles para exponer producto, moverlos desde otra tienda, fabricarlos de cero. -Y expositores para mostrar las máscaras con la calidad que merecen. A partir de aquí comenzó una cuenta atrás de un mes con algún que otro obstáculo que nos enseñó a trabajar con flexibilidad y sin perder de vista nuestro objetivo final. Un objetivo que conseguimos cumplir en el deadline marcado y con un resultado incluso mejor del que habíamos planteado inicialmente. En los dos años y medio que llevo en MediaMarkt España, este ha sido uno de los proyectos más complejos en los que he trabajado. Por la dificultad del reto, la cantidad de stakeholders implicados y la exigencia en la presentación de resultados. Gracias a Therabody y The Beauty Tech Group (CurrentBody, ZIIP, Tria) por ser parte activa y, enhorabuena a todos los compañeros y, en especial, a las tiendas por hacer posible que las cosas pasen. Laura Darwin reacted on thisLaura Darwin reacted on thisIt’s a match! 🩷 I barely post on LinkedIn, but I’m so elated to announce that I just joined Tinder’s Globalization team as Senior Localization Program Manager in Seoul, South Korea! With this significant career update, there have been some major life changes as well. After almost 10 years in the US, where I built my career, made lifelong friends, and called home, I have moved back to South Korea — my real home, where my family and old community are. Thanks to this move, I get to be closer to my family and old friends while also getting the incredible opportunity to join one of the most exciting teams at Tinder and take my career to the next level. I’m super stoked to work with Kenny Mayo Imery and Patrick Moseley on Tinder’s localization efforts and help lead Tinder’s globalization reach across the APAC region from my home country. And of course, I can’t miss the chance to extend my gratitude to my old team at Therabody — Joel Godfrey and Laura Darwin. Joel and Laura believed in me and helped me grow so much throughout my 4.5 years at Therabody. They never questioned my capabilities and always pushed me to go above and beyond. I learned so much from both of you, and I’ll always be grateful for that. I’m excited to see what’s ahead with this new career and life chapter.
