Richard Usher reposted thisRichard Usher reposted thisWhen AI operates in regulated environments, speed is only part of the equation. Yesterday at AI SUMMIT BARCELONA, Mark Hill, COO at Tenth Revolution Group, hosted “AI in Regulated Industries: Booster or Brake?” with Juan Antonio Buero Viana, Head of AI at BASF, and Robin Bradley, CEO at bigspark. The discussion explored what AI adoption really looks like when every output needs to stand up to scrutiny. The conversation focused on a shared challenge: how do organizations move quickly enough to capture the value of AI while still meeting the standards required around compliance, auditability, governance and risk? 🔥 Can regulation create the conditions for better AI, rather than simply slow it down? 🔍 How do you build systems that can be explained, tested and defended? ⚙️ What needs to be in place before AI can scale safely across the enterprise? A huge thank you to Juan and Robin for bringing practical perspectives from highly regulated industries, and to everyone who joined us on the Main Stage. The conversation around responsible, production-ready AI is only getting more important. Richard Usher reposted thisRichard Usher reposted thisEnterprise AI does not have a technology problem alone. It has an adoption problem. That was the core message from Mark Hill, COO at Tenth Revolution Group, during his Main Stage keynote at AI SUMMIT BARCELONA today. “The Enterprise AI ‘No Man’s Land’” explored the widening gap between what AI labs and technology vendors can now deliver and how quickly enterprises can absorb, operationalize and scale it. The pressure is coming from every direction: 🤖 Vendors want their technology embedded faster 📈 Enterprises want to stay ahead of competitors 💰 CFOs want measurable, bottom-line ROI But the real constraint is increasingly people. Closing that gap means having the right ownership, capability and operating model in place to turn new AI technology into something the business can actually use, govern and scale. A big thank you to everyone who joined Mark on the Main Stage. If this challenge sounds familiar, come and find the team at our stand today. We’re continuing the conversation on what it takes to move enterprise AI from potential to production: https://lnkd.in/eKneEwj4 #AISummitBarcelona #EnterpriseAI #ArtificialIntelligence #AITransformation #TenthRevolutionGroup

Richard Usher reposted thisRichard Usher reposted thisSee you tomorrow, Barcelona! AI SUMMIT BARCELONA kicks off tomorrow, and as a Gold Sponsor, we’re looking forward to two packed days of conversations about what it really takes to make enterprise AI work. Come and meet the Tenth Revolution Group team at our stand to talk talent, training and AI delivery, and don’t miss our sessions on the Main Stage. We’ll be closing out Day 1 with a conversation where the stakes around AI couldn’t be higher. 🔥 AI in Regulated Industries: Booster or Brake? In regulated industries, “move fast and break things” isn’t an option. Mark Hill, COO at Tenth Revolution Group, will host a fireside chat with Juan Antonio Buero Viana, Head of AI at BASF, and Robin Bradley, CEO at bigspark, exploring what AI adoption looks like when every decision needs to stand up to scrutiny. From deploying AI and automation where a wrong output could create safety or compliance implications, to building AI that banks need to prove, audit and defend to regulators, they’ll explore whether regulation is slowing AI down or creating the conditions to scale it responsibly. 📅 Tuesday, September 22 ⏰ 6:20pm 📍 Main Stage And that’s not all we have planned for Day 1. Don’t forget to catch our Keynote Speech at 10:20am, and come and find us on the show floor to say hello to the team: https://lnkd.in/enQGHAw3 See you tomorrow! 👋 #AISummitBarcelona #EnterpriseAI #ArtificialIntelligence #ResponsibleAI #TenthRevolutionGroup

Richard Usher liked thisRichard Usher liked thisBringing your attention back to the ongoing humanitarian efforts in Ukraine to highlight the latest supply run which our friends at Ukrainian Action are launching this very weekend. Those of you who attended our Ecosystems Regatta this week will have seen the slide below which includes a couple of QR codes - one for more information on UA's work, and the second providing a link to the fundraising page for this week's run. If your organisation is keen to get involved as a partner to UA or if you're interested in signing up to support one of next year's drives, please reach out to me or founder and CEO Jeffrey Hartman. The team are always looking for new helpers and the experience is super-fulfilling - as our very own Clayton White can advise from his personal experience last year. Meantime, think about the drivers setting off this weekend as you're embarking on whatever the weekend has in store. Preetam Kumar Jonathan Davies.

Richard Usher liked thisRichard Usher liked thisYesterday was officially our biggest Snowflake London World Tour yet, welcoming over 5,000 customers, partners, and data leaders under one roof ❄️🚀 The energy across the venue was unmatched as we explored how organisations are moving from AI ambition to real enterprise impact. A few highlights from an incredible day: 🎙️ Keynote Insights & Messaging: It was inspiring to hear directly from our CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy and UK Country Manager James Hall as they shared our vision for the future of the AI Data Cloud—putting governed data, connected architectures, and enterprise AI agents into the hands of decision-makers everywhere. 🤝 Customer Success Stories: It was brilliant to see these concepts brought to life by customer leaders taking the stage. Teams from LSEG, easyJet, Bupa UK, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust & many more, demonstrated how they are breaking down data silos, scaling trusted AI, and accelerating operational decisions using the AI Data Cloud. 🏛️ Civil Service 2030 A major highlight was the session led by Peter Dutton, alongside Aimee Smith (Government Digital Service), Charlie Boundy (Companies House), and Paddy O'Reilly (Deloitte). They outlined a practical blueprint for what the Civil Service could look like in 2030, examining how modernising data estates, establishing strict governance, and adopting AI-ready infrastructure will reshape citizen-facing public services in the decade ahead. 🌐 Our Ecosystem & Sponsoring Partners: An event of this scale simply isn't possible without our incredible partner ecosystem. To all of our sponsoring partners who brought the Expo Hall to life with live demos, deep expertise, and endless energy—thank you! You are truly integral to Snowflake’s success and the success of our joint customers. 👏 To the Marketing Team: Finally, a massive shoutout to our phenomenal marketing team. Months of tireless work went into planning and executing yesterday's event. You created a seamless, high-impact day that our community will be talking about for a long time!

Richard Usher liked thisRichard Usher liked thisBack from Bits & Pretzels in Munich representing Tenth Revolution Group with a few thoughts after spending time with founders, investors and technology companies. There’s something about this event that reminds me of the classic tech ecosystem: founders passionately presenting innovative solutions, investors looking for the next big opportunity, and lots of conversations about where technology is heading next. 🏙️ Another highlight was a very interesting discussion organized by Invest in Madrid and ICEX on Madrid’s growing role as a destination for technology hubs. It was great to hear different perspectives on what makes Madrid increasingly attractive to international technology companies and talent, with insights from Peter McCardle, Jaime Villacieros, Karl Lincke, Yvonne Rauh and Diego De Arístegui Laborde. A great conversation about the opportunities ahead and Madrid’s potential to strengthen its position on the European tech map. A few takeaways from my time there: 🤖 On-premise AI is gaining momentum. More and more companies are looking at how to bring AI closer to their own infrastructure, particularly when control, privacy and data sovereignty matter. 🚀 Innovation is very much alive. It’s refreshing to see founders building real technology and turning ambitious ideas into products. 🇪🇸 And, on a personal note, it was especially motivating to see Spanish technology companies and entrepreneurs making their mark in this ecosystem — including Prowler - The Agentic Cloud Defender with Toni de la Fuente, Golden Owl® with Giacomo Gori, and Zylon with Iván Martínez Toro. Great conversations, great energy, and a good reminder that behind every technology trend, there are entrepreneurs willing to build it. #BitsAndPretzels #Munich #AI #OnPremAI #Technology #Startups #Innovation #Entrepreneurship
