Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisNon-technical sleep deprived parents, 150 wedding guests and a tight timeline. Built a guest database in our wedding planning hub in Notion and used Lovable to generate personalised invite for our guests. Done on a Sunday afternoon with only one argument 🤪 Something useful we built for our own life using AI tools both from a non technical background. Thought I’d share 🤷♂️

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisOne year at Notion 🎉 The highlights: Launched the London office 🧱 Built an enterprise book across some of the most interesting companies in the UK and EMEA Became a dad 👶🏽 Gained a new work family SE > SW (very demure) Survived the heatwave on 1-2 hours sleep with a 3-4 month old Killed 3 laptops 💻 Decided the best burger in London is Junk 🍔 Got engaged 💍 Built roughly 40 agents. 7 still in circulation. Took home approximately 100 pieces of swag (Notion does this better than anyone) Burnt a frankly embarrassing number of tokens across more models than I can count But the thing I care about most going into year two is this. The gap between what AI promises and what most people actually experience is still huge. Most of the world isn't in this bubble and seeing AI genuinely benefit people outside of tech is the most rewarding part of this job. Here's to the next one 🙏🏾

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisJasnam Sidhu & I had a chat with some of the Super Group team yesterday. Model choice is becoming less of the conversation. What you run on top of it and how you govern it is where the real work is. Not everything needs an LLM to make a decision. A lot of what teams are spending on AI could just be a simple automated rule which is just as fast, often more reliable and definitely more cost effective. As enterprises start to rationalise AI spend this matters more than ever. 📈 Save the expensive reasoning for the problems that actually need it. None of this works without clean context underneath. The best models will still give bad outputs if what they're working from is fragmented or ungoverned. Love these kinds of conversations. Thanks Peter Strazovec and Miroslav Homola 🙏

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisFun week with Andrew McCarthy, Ivan Zhao, Laura Gregg & Hannah Stockley in customer meetings, London Tech Week and connecting with our community in London on how they’re thinking about the future of AI. Some themes… Show me how you do it. Show me the agent you actually built and how you use it. At Notion we use Notion. Our agents, our workflows, our context layer. That’s the most compelling thing we can show Build first. If you don’t experiment how do you know which agent is the best one? Give your team the tools. See what works. Then govern around that. Then rein it in. Token maxxing is a thing. Nobody knows what half the agents are doing. Governance and permissioning are urgent not optional. Not everything needs to be an agent or AI first. Expensive and probabilistic to low cost and deterministic is a journey worth taking. Here are some pics from the week 📸 And a bit of jazz 🎷

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisOne of the many reasons I love working at Notion... Seeing typically non-technical colleagues in an org building with agents and AI safely, because it's embedded and governed within the context of their work rather than sitting outside it. 📈 If you're in a finance or M&A role, think about the repetitive tasks you hate doing. The ones that if you could stop, would free you up to do more of what you love. Now start experimenting. 🧪 Brilliant post. 💥Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisFinance has reinvented itself every decade. We're in the middle of the next shift — and this one is moving faster than any before. At Notion, we’ve stopped optimizing around the edges, and reimagined how Finance should work in an AI-native world. We call it Finance 2.0. From paper ledgers to spreadsheets to ERPs to cloud analytics — Finance has continually evolved. Now we're entering the agentic era, where AI isn't just an analytic tool but a teammate that runs the first pass end-to-end. But most Finance teams I talk to face the same challenges making this jump: 🔸 Coordinating across diverse teams with overlapping, but distinct, mandates. 🔸 Managing manual work: Assembling data instead of understanding it 🔸 Balancing speed with Finance mandates for accuracy, compliance, auditability What we all want, though, is the same: spending less time on "what happened," and more on what we should do about it. That’s where Finance 2.0 comes in. Here's the playbook: 🔹 Step 1: Centralize & document data. Move data from systems of record into a single location, so it's easily accessible to AI tools, and add context so definitions are consistent across teams. 🔹 Step 2: Redesign work for AI. Don't just bolt AI onto existing processes — rethink how work should flow with AI in the loop. 🔹 Step 3: Work in parallel with agents. AI takes the first pass; humans remediate in real time This adds not only efficiency, but productivity: a faster close, fewer mistakes, and better cross-functional collaboration. Two examples of how this works in practice: 📊 ARR Flash: Our monthly revenue report covers 50+ metrics and 70+ charts. Used to take 10+ hours. Now an AI agent runs the queries, builds the charts, writes commentary, and publishes to Notion. Time: ~20 minutes of passive work. 💰 AI Cost Reporting: Tracking AI spend across dozens of sources used to take 2+ hours per report. Now a Notion Agent handles it in under 5 minutes and ad-hoc questions like "why did cost/seat go up?" get instant answers. Here’s a video from our Corporate Development team, where Hilary Shirazi and Amanda Shi share how they’ve built a virtual team of agents within Notion. It saves them 15-20 hours per week… but more than that, it’s helping to make them more productive and effective at what they already do best. Check their Agent Library out for yourself! 👇 We’ll share more examples from across our finance team in the coming days!

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisNotion ranked No. 10 on the CNBC Disruptor 50 list this year 🎉 What stood out to me wasn't the number, but getting to be on this journey with our customers. AI now accounts for 60% of our business. 3x year on year. A couple of years ago most conversations I was having were "how should we be using AI?" Now it's "how do we make this work across our teams without everything becoming a mess?" That's the hard part. Big things ahead 🚀 https://lnkd.in/eV63RmgP link in comments2026 CNBC Disruptor 50: See the full list of companies, rankings, and a new leader in the AI race2026 CNBC Disruptor 50: See the full list of companies, rankings, and a new leader in the AI race

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisMy last post from AWS Summit actually feels pretty relevant to this 👀 I kept asking people where they lose the most time in their day and the answers were fairly consistent: 🤝 too many meetings 🔎 searching across Slack, Teams and docs 📄 trying to find the latest version of something 🔁 going over the same decisions again A lot of orgs seem to be rolling out AI tools faster than they’re fixing the way work actually flows internally, so even with better models, agents, copilots etc, time is lost context chasing. Often the new AI tools expose operational problems that were already there before but not hugely visible⚡️ Curious if you're seeing the same thing internally right now? Sharing an assessment below that brings this to life a bit.... https://lnkd.in/eBiPKhZA

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisSpent the day at AWS Summit asking one question 🤔 “Where do you lose time in your day”? Same answers kept coming up Too many meetings Searching across Slack, Teams and docs Going over the same decisions again All pretty basic things that feel easy to solve but consistently break at scale. 🫤 Good reminder that AI is only as useful as the context behind it ‼️ Looking forward to Gartner next week with the crew 💫

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar shared thisHuge thank you to Carlos Gonzalez de Villaumbrosia and the Product School team for another amazing ProductCon 👏 Product teams are natural problem solvers. What stood out yesterday was how open people were about the real friction they feel in their orgs, not the polished version we sometimes see from the outside. The themes were consistent: • Operating model pressure • AI noise • Delivery speed • Cross team alignment Kerry Small's session was my favourite of the day. “Don’t experiment for the sake of it. Attach it to KPIs. Protect the core. Change the operating model.” 👌 Ironically, the same week we publicly launched Custom Agents. AI is not a playground, It’s not about rolling out tools because everyone else is. It’s about making deliberate changes that move something measurable. I’ve had so many conversations recently about AI, agents and automation. The interesting ones are not about “what can we build?” They’re about “what’s actually slowing us down?” and “what would materially change if this worked?” 📈 At our stand we asked one simple question: “What would help you speed up product delivery?” The answer wasn’t more dashboards or more features. It was smoother cross team alignment. 🧩 Less chasing. More clarity on who owns what. The love for Notion was incredible 💙 but what excited me more were the honest conversations about how teams want to work differently, not just faster. Hannah Stockley, thank you for making it happen. From talking about this six months ago to running out of tote bags and caps yesterday… that was surreal. 🙏 Sally Fuller Tehya O. Thank you for the life advice ( 🐣 ) at dinner last night too, will give you feedback and results in a few weeks.

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked thisTashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked this50-20-30. That is my methodology for being a GTM Leader at Lovable. 50% on customer calls, in the trenches with the team. 20% closing my own deals. 30% on everything else - hiring, internal, systems, strategy. It's still mind-blowing for me to see how many GTM leaders get this wrong. They haven't sold a deal or onboarded a customer in years. They join a company and immediately move into "strategic management". Yet they pretend to explain their teams on how to do their job better. Especially in AI, this is not optional. The market changes every month. If you are not in the market every single day, your read on it is already stale. I think there should be one requirement when you start a GTM leadership job: take one deal end to end yourself if in Sales, take one customer through onboarding end to end when in CS and so on. If your working enterprise that might take a couple of months. Do it anyway. You have no credibility with your team if you have never done the actual work yourself. And no, having done it 10 years ago at another company or in another role doesn't count.

Google AI Plus offers expanded access to Google's advanced models and features in the Gemini app, alongside 2 TB of Google Account storage. This marks a major milestone, it's is our first partnership anywhere where a digital bank provides their customers with access to our premium AI models - and I'm proud that its with a homegrown British champion. 🇬🇧 Massive congratulations to Diana Layfield, Luke Enock, Duygu Yenidogan and the brilliant teams across Monzo and Google who brought this vision to life.

Now I'm starting the next chapter. As an Ambassador, my focus is on building community — not just in Slovakia, but across the whole CEE region — sharing what I know, connecting with other builders, and helping more people get real value out of Notion. First stop: speaking at a local event about Notion in just a few days. Grateful for the opportunity and excited for what's next.

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked thisTashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked this…and breathe 😮💨 My Bits & Pretzels marathon-week is coming to a close and was filled with great conversations and learnings! A few highlights: An enlightening take from Simon Morris in his CIO Summit keynote: “Sovereignty is not about the flag flying on the headquarters of your supplier, it’s about who has control of the chokepoints in your supply chain.” Identify these & mitigate accordingly. An insightful peek into AI applied in the manufacturing world with Moussab Orabi and the importance of deploying fast/integrating well and focusing on very precise use cases and workflows to unlock the most value (vs. giving access to generic AI without defined purpose) A great table conversation led by Juliane Kappel about how AI is transforming our roles, company structures & timelines, and the importance of hiring talent that displays “taste + agency” as a differentiator in a world where AI levels all capabilities. Also: the liberating power of walking meetings, and the bold idea of using digital twins as passive income sources! Finally, spending so much quality time with the Notion user community & our mighty DACH crew! 🚀 Leaving with a head full of ideas, plenty of conversations to continue, and excited about "what things will look like in 12 months' time" … Until then: Prost, Ihr Lieben! 🍻

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked thisAfter more than five years, I’ll be wrapping up my time at Notion this week. And what a journey it has been. I joined a startup with 100 employees globally, as part of a small landing team of five tasked with building the region. Fast-forward 1,887 days, and I’m leaving a category-defining business, +1,000 employees strong, with offices around the globe. Wild. Beyond the numbers, I’m grateful to have worked with some of the most talented, kind, and creative people I’ve ever met. A few special thank-yous: Ivan Zhao - thank you for giving me a shot in 2021. You pitched Notion as the place where I could do my most meaningful work, and it was more than I could have hoped for. Being part of this company has shaped me, professionally and personally. Áine Dundas - thank you for always having my back. Your dedication and energy have carried so much of what we do. I’m proud to have worked for you. Alessandro Puppo, Arielle E., Faisa Mohamed, Ghalia Alami, Sara Foster, Sophie Morgenstern, Ieva Gaigala - thank you for building alongside me. Being your manager has been a real privilege. You came in, took ownership, kept raising the bar, and cared deeply about the work and the people around you. I’m incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished and so excited for what’s ahead, whether that’s at Notion or somewhere new. You’re all going to do amazing things. Shannon Mc Cormack - I used to be firmly on team “remote work.” You built and grew an environment that made me proud and excited to come into the office. And to the many OGs, the community, the partners, and the clients who helped build this place into something special: thank you, friends. As for what’s next, I’ll be doing this all over again. More to come on that very soon.

Tashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked thisTashan Nicholas-Dunbar liked thisi had to film my first LinkedIn video for this 🎬🫣 (Notion dropped a massive permissions update) if you've ever shared a database but needed to hide certain columns... 👀 this one's for you. the old problem: you could control who sees a database but not who sees specific properties so we built crazy workarounds for this not anymore. here's what property access unlocks: 1. set a default access per property ↳ from full editing to fully hidden 2. add exceptions to that rule ↳ specific people ↳ teams and groups ↳ even agents and integrations 3. fine-tune the level per person ↳ view the column ↳ edit values only ↳ or see nothing at all the result? sensitive info stays visible only to the people who need it 🔒 one database, different audiences no more workarounds 💪🏻 the full demo is in the video 👇 follow along — more scenarios coming (Repost for others ♻️) P.S. what scenario would you use this feature for? P.P.S. yes, this video has a lot of cuts... first one, be nice please 😅

Great CS Pros quietly burn out... They care deeply about customers but feel stuck ⤵ You are doing strong work every single day. Yet struggle to explain value clearly and confidently. You are busy solving real customer problems. But still get labeled as reactive or tactical. Renewals feel heavier than they should feel. Upsells feel awkward even when value exists. Firefighting slowly becomes the default mode. And over time that pressure starts to compound. The hardest part is this. You know you are good at your job. You just lack the language. And the structure to prove it. That is not a you problem. It is a framework problem. This week, I am teaching a FREE masterclass. I am breaking down the CS Revenue Framework. It is the exact system I teach CS Pros... To move from reactive check ins to outcome led conversations. This is not theory or fluffy advice. It is practical and designed for real CS work. You will leave knowing how to articulate value. And how to reduce renewal stress long before renewal. Here is what we will cover… ↳ How to reframe conversations around outcomes ↳ How to make value visible without extra admin ↳ How to earn commercial credibility as a CSM ↳ How to stop firefighting without losing trust Are you coming? _____________ 🔥 THE CS REVENUE FRAMEWORK MASTERCLASS 🔥 January 28, 2026 10am PT | 1PM ET | 6PM UK 🔗 Save your seat: https://lnkd.in/gKuGfF37

The most expensive sales hire in EMEA SaaS is not the one you pay the highest salary for – it is the one who quietly derails your plan for the year. Bad leadership and IC hires leave a long tail: - Churn in AEs, SDRs and CS - Confused territory plans and messy handovers - Deals slipping or lost because the wrong behaviours were modelled So it is no surprise many hiring managers slow everything down or recycle the same “safe” candidates. After a couple of mis-hires, caution feels rational. But what you actually need for 2025–26 growth is the opposite: - Sales leaders and Enterprise / MM AEs who are consistently referenceable - People who fit your values and stage (early, growth, pre‑IPO), not just the job description - Talent that raises the bar across EMEA sales, CS and PS – and stays long enough to compound impact What gets in the way is how most hiring is still run: - CV and interview-led assessment with limited SaaS GTM context - Agencies rewarded for speed over long-term fit - Superficial screening, light referencing and very little insight into how someone actually operated in complex EMEA deals SnooprID was set up to fix that. Every search is founder-led. Paul Stevens spends the time to understand your culture, operating model and growth stage – then applies that lens to a smaller, more accurate shortlist. Because many candidates are long-standing relationships from 25 years in enterprise tech sales across EMEA, you get nuanced, confidential referencing and a clear view of performance, motivations and likely impact on your team. The result: fewer CVs, more hires who hit quota, stay, and help build the performance culture you are under pressure to deliver. Most Agency Founders think seriously about technology later than they should. The agencies that scale fastest see it differently. Technology isn’t something you bolt-on as you grow - It’s what enables growth. A few takeaways from a recent panel with three founders who built, scaled and exited recruitment businesses: - Data is a strategic asset, not just reporting. - Replicability beats headcount. - Your tech stack is part of your value story. - Adoption matters more than choosing the “perfect” software. - Technology needs clear ownership. The biggest shift? Technology turns revenue driven by individuals into a business that is repeatable, measurable and defensible. https://lnkd.in/eCjtafv2

For years, companies have tried to fit Client Sales into a neat box. Renewals. Expansion. Support. But the reality? There’s nothing more dynamic than a career working with customers. Post-sale isn’t one pipeline — it’s three happening at the same time: → Upsell & cross-sell → Retention & value reinforcement → Churn prevention Two of those rarely show up in traditional metrics. But they’re what actually make durable growth possible. The best client sales reps know when to lean into revenue and when to lean into trust. They know that long-term expansion is earned, not pushed. In this podcast episode, I share how we think about structuring our Client Sales motion at Brex — and the metrics that actually matter. And we’re hiring. If you’re excited by the idea of building a modern post-sale playbook — one that treats customer growth as both art and science — I’d love to talk. 🚀 Explore the role: https://lnkd.in/gZQGVKBz Come build with us.

This is where the traditional BDR model starts falling apart. In this clip, Nigel Maine explains why the call volumes, conversion ratios and funnel stages make the standard outbound model almost impossible when the market is large and buyers are hard to identify. This video covers: • the 300-to-1 problem • why the funnel shrinks at every stage • why technology has often made the problem worse, not better #B2BSales #RevenueStrategy #GTMReset
