Videnskab.dk is Denmark’s leading popular-science media outlet with around 1 million monthly users. We are an independent source of daily science news, features and other quality content in many different formats.
Our editorial staff covers science in the broadest sense – the social and human sciences as well as health, the natural sciences, space and technology.
Videnskab.dk is a non-profit entity, connected to the Danish School of Media and Journalism, with funding from various sources. The Ministry of Higher Education and Science is our main contributor, and we also receive support from private foundations and the Ministry of Culture.
As well as offering the latest in science news, Videnskab.dk is also dedicated to creating content with the scientists themselves. Our Researchers Communicate team is made up of specialist editors who work one-on-one with academics to help them share their knowledge directly with the general public. Researchers Communicate is sponsored by the Lundbeck Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, TrygFonden, LEO Foundation and Augustinus Foundation.
Some of our articles are available in English at our partner site ScienceNordic.com. ScienceNordic covers science in the Nordic countries and is the result of a joint effort by Videnskab.dk in Denmark and forskning.no in Norway.
Both are well-established, highly regarded and award-winning national science news providers, published in Danish and Norwegian, respectively. Both disseminate national and international science content through their independent editorial offices.
Some of the articles written by our contributing scientists are also published on The Conversation, an international independent source of news analysis and informed comment written by academic experts, via our collaboration with The Conversation UK.
