BIND is open source software that is freely available via download, under a BSD-based license.
Versions distributed
BIND versions in current release are 9.3.5, 9.4.2, and 9.5.0. This page lists all current and past versions of BIND and their status.
We no longer distribute any version of BIND 4. We no longer maintain or update BIND 8, and we recommend that you not use it. Most releases of BIND 9 are still available. If a release is no longer available, it is because we believe that you should not be running that version under any circumstances, and ask you to use a higher-numbered version instead.
