    The aircraft carrier and the volcanic island... and have made a rare visit to the Norwegian volcanic island of Jan Mayen in the Arctic Ocean – as the UK underlines its commitment to security in the high north. ▶️

    celebrated 120 years since its formation on 14th Feb 1901. The pandemic prevented us from holding any events during our anniversary year in 2021, but with the restrictions lifting we planned to mark this milestone in 2022 instead. Read more ➡️

    Last week we went to see HMS Victory in Portsmouth, and to the Isle of Wight. It was fantastic. Victory was my favourite day out in so long, possibly ever.

    Falkland veterans were invited to a glimpse of the first Type 26 frigate – HMS Glasgow – which is currently under construction. The 44 veterans all served on the previous HMS Glasgow which saw action during the Falklands War in 1982. 🔗
