The Herzliya Conference/2001 till 2017 should all get |const=conference removed and only the main Herzliya Conference should have |const=conference (so that only that shows in the list), same for Security and Defence Learning ? In the same way, looking at Spooky conference, Herzliya Conference/2000 is mentioned, but most of these events are described as spooky, so make Herzliya Conference const=Spooky conference or both Spooky conference and conference? -- NewYork (talk) 01:00, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

The general approach for const is to put the most specific item which applies (only). So for a "spooky conference", don't also put "conference". However, I wonder whether "spooky conference" is superfluous, since most of the conferences here are spooky. I was in two minds earlier about annual conferences, since because they are subpages, they will all appear in the hbox of their parent page, so if we say Herzliya Conference/2007 has const=Herzliya Conference then that's repeating the information. However, it actually repeats it in two different places (i) top right in the infobox & (ii) at the bottom. So I think it's actually quite a good way to structure it. -- Robin (talk) 19:18, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
