This just in on NBC's Today: Grumpy Cat (real name Tartar Sauce) has died! The cat that lived in Morristown, AZ, passed away on Tuesday night from complications from urinary track infection.. She was 7. I'm going to miss Grumpy Cat/Tartar Sauce. Even thought the face says the cat is sad and moody, Grumpy Cat could lift anybody's day. RIP. You will be missed.

Tomorrow, May 10, 2019, will be Wheel's 7,000 episode. Amazing how many episodes Wheel has produced. Let's hope for 7,000 more.

Ever since the end of the 2018 season, the Arizona Cardinals was slated to pick #1 in the 2019 NFL Draft. Rumors were swirling on what the Redbirds were going to pick. The most I heard was Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray. (I haven't read the mock drafts, because I don't have ESPN+, nor did I look elsewhere.) I heard rumors of Ohio State DE Nick Bosa (I think he has a relationship with the Los Angeles Chargers DE/LB Joey Bosa), Kentucky DL/EDGE Josh Allen, Alabama DT Quinnten Williams, and a few other. A while ago, the draft started and the Cards was "on the clock." Who would go #1 in 2019? While the pick is expected, and I hope Kyler Murray does well, the Cards now have an elephant in the room; What to do with last year's 1st-round selection Josh Rosen. It's probably certain Rosen will get traded, but to where and what will be exchanged will be determined. Let's hope and pray that Murray is the QB the Cards need. Edit 1: @usaporkchops has confirmed that Nick & Joey Bosa are

The 2019-20 season will be the 100th season for the National Football League. (So why is the Cardinals and I think and another team older than the NFL? The franchises were formed, then they join the league.) Strangley, the Super Bowl LIII champions Patriots will NOT open up the season on Thursday Night on Week 1. Why? The Bears-Packers will be playing their 199th game against each other. (And Da Bears will be wearing jerseys with 100's numbers. I am not joking). So the Pats will be playing on Sunday Night Football on Week 1. (ESPN reports that the Steelers will be New England's opponent for the opener.) The schedule will be released 8PM EDT (5PM PDT & Arizona time.) Here's to a good schedule for the NFL's century season.

In the NHL, the team that has the best point record in the regular season (and at the same time, home-ice advantage) gets a trophy. It's called the President's Cup. For the 2018-19 season, the trophy was won by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Their first round opponent was the Columbus Blue Jackets, who never won a playoff series in their short history. Everybody thought this would be a cakewalk for the Lightning. As the old sports cliche goes, they don't play the games on paper. Game 1: Blue Jackets stun the hockey world with a 4-3 win. Game 2: Blue Jackets won again, 5-1. Game 3: Blue Jackets get their first 3-game winning streak in the playoff at home with a 3-1. And tonight, Game 4: Blue Jackets get an emphatic 7-3 clinching win. (The game was 4-3 late, but 2 of the three last goals was empty net goals, and I don't remember how Columbus score the final goal.) The upset is a big deal. Why? Tampa Bay had a record- or near-record breaking season. Seeing them ousted in Round 1
