Moringa Research

Our international moringa collection is approaching one year since transplant. We are seeing a wide range of traits, including differences in leaf and fruit production, flowering time, yield, and leaf color (purple, red, and green). Starting in early August, we will begin making targeted crosses between promising accessions to meet specific market needs. At the same time, leaf samples will be collected for Hi-FI and Hi-C sequencing as part of the Moringa Pangenome Project.
