How can we reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency across our operations? For Simona Amerio, OSEE Regulatory & ISO Systems Manager at Ferrero, this work is about turning ambition into practical action, plant by plant. In FY 2024/25, Ferrero’s Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions were 7.2% lower in absolute terms compared to FY 2023/24. Today, 24 of our manufacturing plants operate on 100% renewable electricity from the grid. Alongside this progress, we continue to focus on energy efficiency, process electrification and new technologies to support the decarbonisation of our operations. But as Simona explains, the numbers only tell part of the story. Most emissions sit across the value chain, which is why we are working with suppliers, partners and customers to improve data, increase transparency and support emissions reduction efforts across the value chain. From packaging to water management, from our own operations to the partners we work with, our environmental commitments are increasingly reflected in operational decisions across the business.
