Oklahoma sits at the crossroads of America’s freight network, and it’s looking to the future. Last week, we partnered with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Troop S Size and Weights Division for a hands-on training focused on how troopers can safely interact with autonomous commercial vehicles during traffic stops and roadway encounters. We’re proud to work alongside law enforcement partners like OHP to help prepare for the safe, responsible expansion of autonomous trucking.

We’re excited to welcome Lara Caimi to Aurora’s Board of Directors. Lara is a seasoned technology leader with a proven history of scaling high-growth organizations. Formerly President of Worldwide Field Operations at Samsara and Chief Customer and Partner Officer at ServiceNow, she brings deep GTM and operational expertise to our next phase of driverless truck deployment and network expansion. “Aurora is at a defining moment where the promise of autonomous driving — safer roads and a more efficient supply chain — is becoming reality. Autonomous trucking is the frontier of physical AI, and I am excited to contribute to a technology that is already delivering real-world impact. Aurora has built a world-class team and a disciplined approach to bringing this technology to market, and I’m thrilled to join Chris, the leadership team, and the board as we scale driverless operations.” -Lara Caimi

Thank you to Rep. Vince Fong, Chairman Graves, and Ranking Member Larsen for your leadership and to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for advancing this first-ever national AV truck safety framework in BUILD America 250! Aurora supports policies that prioritize safety, enable innovation, and help keep the U.S. at the forefront of transportation technology.

Early this morning, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee passed the BUILD America 250 Act with Congressman Vince Fong’s (CA-20) autonomous vehicle trucking framework. Originally introduced as the AMERICA DRIVES Act, the inclusion of these provisions marks a historic step forward in modernizing America's supply chain by establishing the first-ever national framework for autonomous vehicles (AVs). The BUILD America 250 Act passed the Committee by a vote of 62-2 and now awaits a vote on the House Floor. "With other nations rapidly integrating autonomous trucking into their supply chains, America cannot afford to fall behind," said Congressman Fong. “Currently, a confusing patchwork of state regulations is holding us back. Today's committee passage is a major milestone. These provisions establish the clear federal framework our industry needs to safely scale autonomous trucking, strengthen our supply chains, and ensure the United States remains unbeatable in the global marketplace. This is critical framework for the future of America’s transportation innovation, and I’m thrilled to see it pass with bipartisan support thanks to the leadership of Chairman Sam Graves and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.” Currently, 35 states allow some form of autonomous truck testing or deployment, while others have imposed restrictive or conflicting regulations.

For autonomous trucking to scale, it has to fit into the way freight already moves. Aurora President Ossa (Fredricsson) Fisher shares how we’re expanding driverless operations across routes and customer endpoints, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and integration into day-to-day logistics networks. That’s how we’re building toward an autonomous backbone for American transportation.

Expanding our network to meet customer demand. We now operate a 12-route network, built to give customers the coverage they need to keep goods moving. In just weeks, we validated driverless operations between Dallas and Laredo, adding key freight routes to our network. We also kicked off supervised autonomous deliveries between Dallas and Oklahoma City in collaboration with Volvo Autonomous Solutions. More routes. More coverage. More momentum toward commercial scale.
