About us

Cognitive Medical Systems’ purpose is to empower people and organizations to optimize healthcare delivery through innovative technology solutions. Since our software development company’s founding in 2010, consistent focus on innovative and solutions-based HealthIT applications drives our progress forward. Our rapid expansion is fueled by our continued improvement and innovative approach to solving IT-related challenges. The Cognitive Way powers our results-driven approach to make our customers successful. Today our government contracting efforts serve the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Health and Human Services, and several commercial customers. Cognitive specializes in an area called Clinical Decision Support (CDS). CDS technology enables precise access to relevant point-of-care data to doctors, nurses, and patients that encompasses a patient’s entire healthcare record. Cognitive’s provides “real-time” CDS that helps simplify the complex clinical workflows that define modern healthcare. Simply, our innovations lead to better healthcare.

  • "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change." - Charles Darwin In early 2025, Cognitive was tested by a shifting landscape. However, through the adaptability and brilliance of our team, we didn't just survive. We evolved. We enter 2026 as a more robust organization, deeply appreciative of our team’s hard work and our customers’ partnership. We are ready to continue our mission of delivering impactful Federal IT solutions in the year ahead. #HappyNewYear #CognitiveMedicalSystemsInc #Cognitive #HealthIT #HealthcareInnovation #GovCon #FederalIT

  • 🎉 Celebrating 15 Years of Cognitive 🎉 Fifteen years ago today, five people came together with a shared mission: to improve every aspect of United States healthcare through the use of information technology. Today, Cognitive Medical Systems is proud to be a company of more than 140 employees. Over the past 15 years, we’ve successfully completed many contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Health and Human Services (HHS), and collaborated with several hundred partners along the way. Most importantly, we’ve built and integrated software that supports beneficiaries and participants across the U.S. healthcare system - including military spouses, servicemembers, veterans, Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, insurance payers, and dedicated employees. On this 15th anniversary, we couldn’t be prouder of our people, the work we do, and the dedication we show every day. We'd like to thank everyone for being part of Cognitive’s journey and for helping us continue to deliver on our mission. Here’s to the next chapter. 🚀 #CognitiveMedicalSystemsInc #Cognitive #15YearAnniversary #HealthIT #MissionDriven #HealthcareInnovation #GovCon

Thank you to our team members who took the time to participate in this powerful tribute. Together, we're making an impact.
