It’s officially that time of year! Whether you’re tracking a bracket or tracking your microservices, things are about to get competitive. 🏀 For this #FeatureFriday, we’re showing you how to settle the ultimate score. Our very own is tired of losing the annual March Madness bet to his mom. The secret weapon? Entity Relationship Types. By leveraging this feature, he’s turned a chaotic tournament bracket into a structured, navigable hierarchy within Cortex. Here’s the game plan: 🧩 Custom Entity Types: He created a "March Madness" entity to house every team and matchup. 🗺️ Relationship Mapping: Using our new relationship types, he built a visual hierarchy that mirrors the bracket—from the first round all the way to the finals. 📊 The Birdseye Report: By grouping his Scorecards by relationship type, he can now spot the "weaknesses" in last year's picks at a glance. The takeaway? If you can use Cortex to gain a competitive edge over your mom’s basketball picks, imagine what it can do for your engineering operations. Map your ecosystem, score your services, and stop playing guessing games with your data. Check out the video to see how to build your own "Mom-proof" strategy. ⬇️

"Where does this service live?" "Who owns this database?" "Does this meet our security standards?" If your platform team is answering these questions manually, you’re losing. 📉 Cortex is teaming up with Syntasso to bridge the gap between execution and intelligence. We’re bringing Syntasso’s Kratix Promises into the Cortex catalog as first-class assets. What does this actually look like? 🤞 The Promise: Define infrastructure as a declarative contract. 🔮 The Portal: Developers discover and trigger those promises via Cortex. ✨ The Proof: Scorecards ensure those resources stay compliant over time. It’s the ultimate Golden Path: speed for the developer, and total control for the platform team. The divide between autonomy and governance is officially closed. 🧱🔨 Check out the partnership: https://lnkd.in/g6PyFmfc

🏆 5 Years of Excellence: Celebrating Cristina Buenahora! 💜 Cristina joined us in the very early days as our Founding Engineer, taking a leap of faith when "Internal Developer Portals" were barely a category. Since then, her journey has been a masterclass in growth and leadership: • From Founding Engineer to VP: Cristina has worn almost every hat, scaling our engineering team, leading as Director of Engineering, and now driving our most critical bets as VP, Strategic Initiatives. • Defining EngOps: She has been instrumental in evolving Cortex from a service catalog into the comprehensive Engineering Operations Platform it is today. • Community Building: Beyond the code, Cristina founded Braintrust, creating a world-class community where engineering leaders connect and grow. Cristina, your "evolve or die" mindset and dedication to engineering excellence have shaped the very DNA of this company. We wouldn’t be where we are without your brilliance, grit, and leadership. Please join us in the comments in congratulating Cristina on 5 incredible years! 🥂
