Qantas and Expedia Group B2B announced a new partnership this week, and it got me thinking: What makes a great travel partnership work? The answer is more than technology. The strongest partnerships combine trusted brands, strong infrastructure, and a shared focus on making travel simpler for customers and more valuable for partners. My one-year anniversary at Expedia Group was on September 22nd so I’ve been reflecting on how one genuine conversation can change the course of your career. At the 2025 National Sales Network (Headquarters) Conference in Las Vegas, an elevator conversation with Expedia Group Area Managers Jerrica Burns and Jessica C. Johnson turned into an opportunity to learn more about the company, which then ultimately led into an offer I was excited to accept. Nearly a year later, I’ve had the opportunity to grow within Expedia Group, build meaningful relationships, work alongside incredible people, and continue developing both personally and professionally. Returning to NSN this year as an Expedian was a true full-circle moment! Being able to speak with candidates and tell them, “I was in your position last year,” made the experience especially meaningful. It was a reminder that sometimes, the opportunity you’re looking for can begin with something as simple as a conversation. For those looking to make the most of their next networking opportunity, here’s my advice for building authentic connections: 1. Be genuinely curious: Ask thoughtful questions and seek to understand someone’s experience. People remember conversations that feel authentic. 2. Explain your story clearly: Share who you are, what you do, and what interests you. You don’t need a perfect pitch, just a clear way to begin. 3. Follow up: Send a short message that references something you discussed. The best connections continue beyond the event.

60% of travelers think more about their environmental impact than they did three to five years ago. 94% would travel off-peak to protect local environments. The interest is real. The gap is in the information. When sustainability data is inconsistent or hard to trust, partners can't communicate their efforts effectively, no matter how much work they've done. Over the past year, Expedia Group has been closing that gap: • Certifications displayed across our brands: 10 → 80+ • Certified lodging inventory growth since 2025: 100%+ • Refined representation of sustainability claims • Improved enablement for commercial and support teams The goal: a credible, consistent framework for partners. And clearer information for travelers who want to act on their values. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eafUCXD5

As New York Climate Week comes to a close, I’m feeling deeply grateful for the time spent with friends, peers and partners. There is nothing quite like being in community and having the opportunity to listen, learn and connect. One highlight was attending Skift Global Forum, where we joined our partners at Travalyst, including its founder, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. He delivered a compelling call to action, reminding the industry of our shared responsibility to the destinations and communities at the heart of travel. I couldn’t agree more. Destination stewardship is at the heart of Expedia Group's impact strategy because travel depends on thriving places and communities. That is why we are continuing to grow the Expedia Trails Fund- restoring and future-proofing the trails, parks and natural spaces that our travelers love. Through our partnership with Travel Forward (formerly the Travel Foundation) and the Destination Climate Champions program, we are helping create tools to strengthen destination resilience. And through our continued work with peers in Travalyst, we are advancing shared standards, better data and greater transparency- so more responsible choices become easier for our travelers to find and understand. This week leaves me even more inspired to think bigger about what we can accomplish as an industry- and to keep building a better future for travel.

As Expedia Group enters its 15th Month of Caring, true impact isn’t measured by what we say, it’s defined by the local communities and organizations leading change every single day. To celebrate this milestone, we’re stepping back to center the voices, stories, and missions of the partners we support. From cleaning waterways to packing essential meals, our employees are proud to contribute to the incredible work of organizations like Puget Soundkeeper, Sufra NW London, and HopeAustin. The shift from keywords to conversations isn't just changing search — it's changing how growth-led teams operate. As customers ask search engines deeper, more complex questions, managing marketing in isolated channel silos no longer cuts it. In our latest case study, Expedia Group marketing leaders Eric Gottloeb (Vice President of Performance Marketing) and Daniel Shin Un Kang (Head of Organic and Agentic Search) share how they eliminated traditional channel boundaries to move at startup speed in the agentic era. 🔗 Discover how your brand can drive growth by delivering personalization at scale, wherever customer curiosity takes them → https://goo.gle/3V14Ja3

Expedia Group turns 30 this year, and the Chicago office has been celebrating all year long. 🎉 The latest chapter: The Journey So Far, a walk-through exhibit curated by our Experience Team. Backlit panels, legacy artifacts, and an interactive wall took employees through the brands, people, milestones, and Chicago moments behind three decades of travel. The best part was watching whole teams take field trips to see it. Proud of the work behind it. 🎉
