What do we mean when we talk about women’s health? Women’s health spans conditions that affect women uniquely, disproportionately or differently across their lifespan. When these differences go unaccounted for, gaps can emerge. And these gaps don’t happen by accident. When research, data, and healthcare systems overlook key differences, it affects what gets studied, what gets funded, and ultimately how patients are diagnosed and treated. By bringing together researchers, healthcare leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers, the 2026 Femtech Canada Forum creates space to examine what it will take to turn greater attention to women’s health into meaningful, measurable progress. 🔗 To join us for the 2026 Forum on November 3rd in Toronto, visit: https://loom.ly/jDHNtVk 👉 Interested in supporting the Forum? First Of A Kind - this is a moment when FOAK takes on a whole new level of meaning for investors and the ecosystem. Women’s Health + FemTech has traditionally been one of the most under-funded sectors in innovation. Given that we are talking about half of the world’s population, that makes no sense. What’s been the challenges? Lack of understanding of the space, the presence of hardware in many solutions, and the well documented lack of capital flowing to women entrepreneurs. It’s time to change that - and it’s happening. Now. wHealth Ignite is the First Of A Kind wraparound support and investment catalyst for women’s health ventures in Canada. Delivered by Femtech Canadaanada in partnership with Spring, Morrissette Institute , and Innovation Factorytory, and support from Google, wHealth Ignite supports high-potential, seed-stage femtech ventures to de-risk their path to market and accelerate their upcoming fundraising efforts. The 10 companies participating, this is an opportunity for investors to explore, step into, or further commit to the future of Women’s Health in Canada and globally. Do you think our workplaces are truly designed with hormonal health in mind? A 2026 report by Reya Health highlights major gaps across Canadian workplaces, shedding light on how unaddressed hormonal health impacts employees every day: 🤐 The Silence Cost 49% of respondents have never disclosed hormonal or menstrual symptoms to their manager. Silence often forces workers to manage severe symptoms completely on their own. 🙈 The Stigma Cost 62% strongly agree that they feel a distinct stigma around discussing period or hormonal issues at work. This barrier prevents open conversations about reasonable accommodations and wellness support. 📉 The Productivity Cost A staggering 94% say hormonal symptoms force them to work at a reduced capacity even while present, while 24% miss 1 to 4 days of work every single month. Supportive workplaces happen when employers stop treating hormonal health as a secret and start treating it as essential employee support.
