Since 1997, Marc-Allen Associates has specialized in connecting retailers with executive talent, completing more than 1,700 placements across corporate and field leadership roles. A recent article focusing on IDDBA member-company Costco Wholesale has some useful indicators about the key drivers on their high digital engagement. Customer AI use was one remarkable factor. According to their EVP & CFO Gary Millerchip, "While starting from a low base relative to other channels, AI continues to grow in its influence on how our members are searching for products. Traffic to our site from AI search grew triple digits for the second consecutive quarter and continues to show the highest conversion rate of all site traffic." IDDBA members and General Session speakers were front and center in a recent industry news article focused on protein innovations and clean labels in desserts. General Session regular Anne-Marie Roerink kicked off the article, noting the recent "renewed growth for frozen deserts" amounting to "$909 million in July, up 2.7%[...]" an optimism backed up in statements from representatives of IDDBA members like Rich Products Corporation, the American Bakers Association, Kraft Heinz, and others.
