We’re excited to share that Alex Su has been named President of Latitude. Alex joined Latitude in 2024 as Chief Revenue Officer and has played an important role in a period of significant growth for our team. Over the past two years, we’ve opened nine new offices and built relationships with more than 350 new corporate legal department and law firm clients. We’re grateful for what’s behind that growth: the trust of the legal teams we serve, the Latitude attorneys who deliver for clients across a wide range of sophisticated roles, and our client service Partners and team members who support those relationships. As President, Alex will lead the commercial and talent functions that support our Client Service Partners and offices nationwide as we continue to grow. He steps into this role at an interesting time for the legal profession. As AI and other technologies transform how legal work is done, Alex brings a valuable perspective on how the needs of legal teams are evolving and the value of experienced attorneys who bring judgment, accountability, and ownership to their work. Congratulations, Alex! We’re excited for what’s ahead. Read more about Alex’s new role and Latitude’s continued growth: https://lnkd.in/gAKFZs8P #FlexibleLegalTalent #LegalLeadership

An interview is an opportunity to bring your career story to life. For experienced attorneys, years of practice offer plenty to draw from: pivotal matters, thoughtful career decisions, lessons learned, and experiences that have shaped how you approach your work today. Latitude Director of Legal Recruiting & Placement Giselle Maranges shares her perspective on preparing to talk through that experience naturally and helping an interviewer understand the attorney behind the resume. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dWg7a9i6 #LegalCareers #AttorneyCareers #InterviewTips

Sometimes the opportunity you want is one you didn’t know was possible. In this clip from Leveraging Latitude, former attorney and award-winning legal thriller author Pamela Samuels Young reflects on a time when she thought she needed to choose between practicing law and pursuing her passion for writing. After balancing both for years, she made the decision to resign from her in-house role so she could write full-time. Instead, her employer offered an option she hadn't even considered: a part-time role that allowed her to continue practicing law while creating more space to write. As Candice Reed notes, we see the same thing with many attorneys we work with at Latitude. The trust, credibility, and reputation built over the course of a career can open the door to opportunities for greater flexibility while continuing to do meaningful work. 🎧 Listen to the full conversation with Pamela, Candice, and Tori Keith: https://lnkd.in/e7SvPGMy #LegalCareers #CareerGrowth #FlexibleLegalTalent

Matching attorney capacity with evolving client demand is an ongoing consideration for law firms. How can firms build more flexibility into their staffing strategy while maintaining strong client service and supporting their teams? Latitude Partner Jay Harrington shares eight ways flexible legal talent can help firms respond to changing demand, from supporting busy periods and staffing gaps to helping lateral partners ramp up and giving firms more information before making permanent hiring decisions. Read Jay’s perspective below.
One of the biggest challenges law firms face is matching supply (lawyers and their capacity) with demand (what clients need from them). In my experience, many firms still aren't aware of the many ways flexible legal talent—experienced contract attorneys brought in on a temporary basis—can help address these challenges. I recently wrote an article, published on the Latitude Legal blog, explaining 8 ways flexible legal talent can make firms stronger, more resilient, and profitable. I hope you check it out. Have a great weekend! https://lnkd.in/gxDs5sbR

Attorneys make thoughtful, high-stakes decisions for clients every day. So why can career decisions for ourselves often feel so much harder? That question sparked a thoughtful conversation between Candice Reed, Tori Keith, and attorney and award-winning author Pamela Samuels Young on the Leveraging Latitude podcast. In this clip, Pamela reflects on the fear that accompanied each career change she made and why waiting until you're no longer afraid isn't always realistic. As she puts it, sometimes the next step begins with saying, "I'm scared, but I'll figure it out." 🎧 Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gbnzKcGv #LeveragingLatitude #LegalCareers #CareerGrowth
