With one week left until Primary Election Day, Aug. 4, a total of 832,435 Michigan voters have already cast their ballot – a turnout rate of 11.3% of all active registered voters in the state. The Gordie Howe International Bridge is one of the most significant infrastructure projects in North America, built through partnership, ambition, and a shared belief that investing in modern infrastructure builds a stronger future. The bridge and connecting facilities transform how people and goods move across North America by creating a direct, highway-to-highway connection between Ontario’s Highway 401 and Michigan’s Interstate-75, along a corridor were there is $300 billion a year in trade between Michigan and Ontario. Hundreds more children will have access to free, high-quality prekindergarten before age four as Michigan's Strong Beginnings pilot program expands to additional communities across the state. The program builds on Michigan’s PreK for All strategy by giving eligible 3-year-olds an additional year of early learning that helps prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond. With 10,777 tips received, the Michigan State Police (MSP) OK2SAY system recorded its second-highest use volume since its 2014 start, highlighting the vital role it plays in safeguarding Michigan’s youth and fostering safer school environments.
