  • Ever wonder why a slightly scarred blueberry or an oddly shaped peach end up nowhere near a traditional grocery store, even if they taste delicious? Our Director of Produce Category Management, Hilary Craig, has spent the better part of her career considering this question, and she recently sat down with Kirti Mutatkar on UnitedAg's This Is Ag! podcast to talk about it. In the conversation, Hilary digs into how our expectations around "perfect" produce drive food waste, why understanding where food comes from changes what we're willing to accept, and what the future of agriculture looks like when technology can reduce waste but the human relationships behind every crop still can't be automated. Thank you, Kirti, for such a thoughtful conversation and for making space for our perspective on this. 🎧 Listen now: https://lnkd.in/gXd9hv4F

  • Some of the most important work at Misfits Market happens in our fulfillment centers and out on the road—and this month, we're celebrating the people who do it best. 👏 Congratulations to our July Employees of the Month! From our delivery drivers to our operations associates, these standouts are the reason our customers get quality groceries at their doorstep, on time and with care.

  • We're thrilled to unveil our second annual Best of Misfits Awards! 🏆 It's only year two, but this is already one of our favorite things we do. It's a chance to shine a light on the products and brands that make our assortment so special. From the small makers and independent brands doing extraordinary things, to the hidden gems and unforgettable flavors our team and customers can't stop talking about, these awards are a celebration of the food we believe deserves a national stage. What makes this year even more meaningful is the work behind it. Our team poured months of care into curating these winners across grocery, produce, snacks, and beyond—tasting, debating, and championing the products that reflect what Misfits is all about: discovery, quality, and a better food system for everyone. To every brand and founder recognized this year: congratulations. We're proud to help tell your story. 👏 And to our team: thank you for the passion and heart you brought to making this happen. See all the winners on our blog 👉 https://lnkd.in/g4YquDGq

  • Congratulations to our very own Jessie Kimsey on her election to the Specialty Food Association's Board of Directors! 🎉 Jessie leads innovation sourcing here at Misfits Market, where her instinct for championing emerging brands and building thoughtful, discovery-driven assortments shows up in the products our customers love every day. She's one of the brightest talents on our merchandising team, and this recognition couldn't be more deserved. The SFA's mission—honoring where food comes from while making room for what comes next—is exactly the kind of thinking Jessie brings to our shelves. We're proud to have her representing that vision on a national stage. Congrats, Jessie! 👏

I’m honored to have been elected to the Specialty Food Association’s Board of Directors and to serve alongside leaders with decades of knowledge, experience, and commitment to specialty food. SFA’s purpose, “Together, We Shape the Future of Food,” aligns with what I care about most: honoring where food comes from while making room for what comes next. It’s about more than what is on the shelf and on our tables. It carries place, tradition, creativity, and care. That belief has shaped my career in retail - championing emerging brands, building thoughtful assortments, and helping bring meaningful products to more people. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from this board and contribute to a community I value so much. Looking forward to seeing many of you at Winter FancyFaire in San Francisco this January!

  • We're growing, and we couldn't be more excited about who's joining us! Say hello to our newest team members across merchandising, CS, HR, engineering, and operations. Each brings fresh perspective, real expertise, and a shared belief in our mission: building a better, less wasteful food system and making quality groceries accessible to everyone. Welcome aboard! 👏

  • Celebrating our April Employees of the Month! 🎉 Last month's honorees keep our operation moving every single day—leading teams on the floor, getting orders out the door, coordinating routes, and making sure deliveries land where they need to be, when they need to be there. None of what we do works without the people who make it happen. Their consistency, care, and hustle are what our customers feel on the other end of every box. 💛

  • This is what spring at Misfits Market tastes like. 🥂🌿 We brought together some of our favorite founders and brands—innovators who are raising the bar on quality and redefining what better-for-you food and beverages should taste like. From peak-season bites to standout products you won’t find at your average grocery store, every detail reflected what happens when incredible people are building something special (and seriously delicious). Huge thanks to the founders from Joon Foods, Wandering Bear Coffee, Smash Foods, and Mezcla for being part of it—and to the one and only Jennifer De la Vega for bringing it all to life in the inspired bites.

  • Every box that lands on a customer's doorstep gets there because of people like our April Employees of the Month. 💛 They're the team members across delivery, operations, and fulfillment who show up every day and make the whole thing work. Drivers, associates, leads—the folks who don't always get the spotlight but absolutely deserve it. Congratulations to our April honorees! We're lucky to have you on the team.

  • Next time you reach for an Odds & Ends product, know this: you're holding a piece of Smithsonian-recognized design history. Thought Matter, our longtime private label design partners, recently received the 2026 National Design Award for Communication Design from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. It's one of the highest honors in American design and it recognizes a body of work, which just happens to include the brand system Thought Matter created for Odds & Ends. Their playful, mission-driven identity for Odds & Ends proves that doing good and designing beautifully can go hand in hand. Congratulations to Thought Matter, our private label team, Morgan Drummond and Madeline Lubowitz (Tate) Lubowitz, and Creative Director, Tim Suglian, whose vision has helped shape Odds & Ends from the start!
