Building Virginia’s energy future starts with investing in the people who will deliver it. Quanta plans to expand our presence in the Commonwealth and create approximately 120 new jobs when the proposed combination of NextEra Energy and Dominion Energy is completed. This investment would bring additional engineering, construction, manufacturing, and skilled workforce opportunities to Virginia, strengthening our ability to serve our customers and support the state’s growing energy needs. NextEra Energy, Inc. and Dominion Energy’s newly announced Virginia benefits package puts a focus on customer affordability, workforce development, and energy infrastructure. We’re excited about the opportunity to support that vision by hiring locally, building rewarding careers, and investing in the communities where we live and work. Together, we’re building what the world runs on. Learn more:

Florida Power & Light Company, our Florida utility, has launched FPL Saving Steps, building on programs like FPL Care To Share® and other assistance available to customers who need it. Through FPL Saving Steps, eligible seniors who have received energy bill assistance within the past 24 months will automatically receive a one-time $200 bill credit, along with practical energy-saving education to help them manage their energy use over time. That same commitment to supporting customers and keeping bills affordable is reflected in the enhanced Virginia commitments we announced last week as part of our proposed combination with Dominion Energy. Upon approval and closing of the proposed combination, we would increase EnergyShare, Dominion Energy’s shareholder-funded energy bill assistance program, by $100 million through 2038.

This week marked an important milestone as NextEra Energy Transmission broke ground in Nevada on the GridLiance West Core Upgrades Project, a major investment in Nevada's energy future that demonstrates the critical role transmission infrastructure plays in powering homes, businesses and industries with affordable electricity. When complete, the GridLiance West Core Upgrades Project will help modernize Nevada’s electric grid – making it more reliable and resilient as the region and its energy needs grow. It will also support approximately 500 construction jobs, generate approximately $90 million in tax revenue for local communities and help position the state for continued economic development. Thank you to Governor Joe Lombardo, Representative Susie Lee, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary Katie Jereza, Nevada Governor's Office of Energy Director James Humm, Valley Electric CEO Hamlin, Chairman Daniel Leivas from the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe, representatives from the Bureau of Land Management, representatives from Senators Cortez Masto's and Rosen's offices, along with the GridLiance West and NextEra Energy Transmission teams who came together to celebrate this achievement. Together, we are building the energy infrastructure needed to support Nevada's growth, America’s energy independence and local communities for decades to come.

Forty-five years ago, Dave Robinson began his career at Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant as a chemistry technician. What started as a steady job close to home became something more: a multigenerational commitment to powering New England. From startup through decades of operation, Dave has supported the plant’s long-term performance and reliability. Today, his son Chris works alongside him—years after first touring the plant’s control room as a child. For the Robinsons, Seabrook isn’t just where they work. It’s where one generation’s dedication inspires the next. “Knowing that I can carry on the legacy of something he’s worked on longer than I’ve been alive means everything to me,” Chris says. This week, NextEra Energy Transmission and the New Mexico Renewable Energy Transmission Authority celebrated the completion and energization of the Crossroads-Hobbs-Roadrunner Transmission Line, a major milestone for New Mexico’s energy future. Crossroads-Hobbs-Roadrunner strengthens grid reliability, expands access to lower-cost generation and supports continued economic growth across southeastern New Mexico. It was also delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. This project marks the third successful competitively awarded transmission project NextEra Energy Transmission has delivered for the Southwest Power Pool, with all three completed on schedule and within budget — demonstrating the value of collaboration, disciplined execution and competitive transmission development.
