Supportive Housing Network of New York

This week reminded us what community really means. 🫶 On Monday evening, our team joined partners from across the field at the Supportive Housing Network of New York's Gala, celebrating two Neighbors of the Year whose stories remind us why this work matters. The Unsung Hero Award went to New York’s 23 Continuums of Care, the coalitions working every day, to prevent and eradicate homelessness across NY.  Then yesterday, we attended and presented at The Health & Housing Consortium’s 16th Annual Health & Housing Convening. We spent the day learning about the challenges and opportunities facing health care and supportive housing right now, and talking about how we can work together to drive real change. Two very different gatherings, one shared truth: none of us does this work alone. Housing is health, and progress happens when providers, advocates, residents, and partners show up for one another. Honored to be recognized alongside my Continuum of Care colleagues across New York State as a 2026 Unsung Hero at the Supportive Housing Network of New York Awards Gala.

Monday night, Win was honored to attend the Supportive Housing Network of New York (SHNNY) 2026 Awards Gala, joining colleagues and partners from across New York to celebrate the people advancing supportive housing.   Congratulations to this year’s honorees and thank you to SHNNY for its continued leadership in advocating for supportive housing and the New Yorkers who rely on it.   At Win, our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness, and our supportive housing plays a critical role in that work. With 460 supportive housing units, we know how essential stable, long-term housing and ongoing support are to helping families build a foundation for the future.   Thank you to SHNNY for bringing the supportive housing community together and championing this critical work across New York.

A huge thank you to Supportive Housing Network of New York for their tireless advocacy and partnership. Together, we are creating safe, supportive housing that meets the needs of the most vulnerable members of our communities across New York State. Our CoC is relentlessly dedicated to maximizing our resources, implementing the most effective strategies to end homelessness, and providing the vital support people need to rebuild their lives and thrive with dignity. A special thank you to all partners that help with community wide efforts to end homelessness, especially those that we have privilege of serving and fighting for every day.

I had a really great experience at SHNNY's 2026 Annual Gala last night. It was a privledge to be invited and have a ability to attend! I've been blessed to be in a position where I can choose which organizations I want to work with, and I always jump at the chance to work with the Supportive Housing Network of New York. Partly due to the amazing team (the banker in me loved the venue and my inner foodie loved the appetizers), but also my working relationships with Pascale Leone and Joelle Ballam-Schwan. During her remarks, I had to opportunity to lock eyes with Pascale -and we shared a genuine game recognize game moment. Between the amazing stories of the Neighbor of the Year winners, recognizing our Unsung Heroes amongst NY CoCs, and that impromptu moment of being seen for me and my table of advocates...thank you so much for reminding me why I love doing what I do!
