a trio of figures… sentries above the gate… here, for perpetuity… truth in movement…  envisioned through bronze… the thinker at his desk… with pencil and paper… what is the thinker…thinking… thom browne presents his fall 2026 collection beneath auguste rodin’s monumental bronze sculpture, the three shades, at the legion of honor museum in san francisco. the city’s rolling hills and classical views set the tone for the show, taking place two days before superbowl lx. featuring nfl players, including deandre hopkins and justin jefferson, the show itself is inspired by the pursuit of excellence. the thinker writes… the show begins… thom browne seen through layers. coats and parkas over tailoring and knits, in classic silhouettes and new proportions. grounded in signature grey… seasonal fabrics are custom-made and reinterpreted for the collection: wool flannels and cashmeres, compact suiting fabrics woven with high-twist wool yarns. structured cashmere aran cable knits, donegal mohair tweed blends. ultra-fine shrunken cricket stripe vests. a blouson flight jacket in waterproof cashmere sits alongside parkas in melton wool and heritage-feel oilcloth, each defined by bold volume. slim moto and racer jackets counter the strong shoulders of a shell trench in heavy gun club tweed and duffle coats in shearling, suede, and a double face burgundy melton. downfilled layers include ripstop vests, a jacketweight cashmere coat, and funmix flannel utility jackets. a rearranging of embroidered snowflakes and mountain scenes in intarsia atop merino wool and cashmere fair isle knits add humor to seriously constructed techniques. in shetland wool prince of wales check and variations of wool flannel, statement sport coats are tipped with frayed cable embroidery, streamlined wool suiting fabrics, and cricket detailing. texture is magnified through coordinated tailoring comprising the sport coat, backstrap trouser, and knee-length skirt. executed in crisp gun club check wool piqué, this ensemble is topped with an elongated pea coat in woven leather herringbone. meticulous craftsmanship rendered with precision. hiking soles return on classic longwing brogues and boots as well as a new quilted silhouette in ankle and knee-high iterations. reinforced by a metal toe bumper featuring a red, white, and blue inlay, these durable soles fuse traditional goodyear welting with a norwegian double-stitch construction that enhances water resistance and structural integrity. new interpretations of the signature bolton bag—originally crafted with pebble grain leather—are introduced in distressed leather and supple calfskin. bookended with side pockets and constructed with an upper flap, the new pebbled leather bolton backpack features a recognizable brass lock closure. coats are removed for the finale, suspended by backpack straps. for the long journey ahead… discover the full collection: https://bit.ly/4aIlhZx #thombrowne #thombrownefw26

… hello, earthlings … in a hotel built many moons ago, known by many names, reflections of the past give way to a new future. from 1706 to the year 3000, a close encounter awaits… the spring 2026 collection explores the edge between the ordinary and the outer limits. lines and seams shift ever so slightly, evolving classic ideas to something new, something unknown. traditional tailoring is heightened and deconstructed to create paranormal proportions. the effect is both of this world, and beyond… the earthlings watching as their home becomes inhabited by space invaders… we come in peace… we come in peace… we come in peace… sport coats are cut in an assertive new silhouette, departing from classic lines to reveal shoulders that are twisted forward to resemble raglans - a nod to classic varsity shapes and american sportswear. these strong shoulders are pressed forward, waists are curved in, and hems have a structured flare creating thom’s new look for tailored dressing. skirts are lowered to a drop-waist and belted, pleats unfolding, softly draped just above the knee. the cricket sweater, layered within, a foundational thom browne design, is shrunken and cropped. bright preppy palettes elevate chromatic contrasts. repp stripes are woven, embroidered, multiplied, thom’s classic techniques of the past twenty years stretched to their limits. tweeds and seersucker mingle with sterling silver grommets and rings. selvedge patchwork and sequined tulle shimmer like signals across the spectrum of light… unidentified objects make contact, touching down, drifting into the room. the unearthly visitors glide forth in deconstructed, then reconstructed, humanoid proportions. morphing and evolving, harmony forms in the parallels between the space invaders and extraterrestrials. some wear trousers with four legs, some with two. no two pieces are quite the same, nor quite so different… boots are color-blocked, graphic illusions. what is real, and what is surreal. a strappy stiletto over pastel socks is in fact a pastel closed-toe boot. platform heels and spectator boots parade the halls of the maison. the teviot bag introduced in seasonal fabrications and a new clam shell handle alongside the iconic bolton bag. a match made in outer space… the core of the collection, tailoring, remains a throughline infusing the overall scene with simplicity. a proposition of universal clarity - a uniform for every being; both alien and human. a dialogue emerges, unearthing a cosmic connection between classic codes and the otherworldly… discover the full collection on: bit.ly/3WCVrON #thombrowne #thombrowness26
