#AWSreInvent is right around the corner, and we’re excited to showcase the best of Retool at both our booth and on-stage. On December 2nd at 5pm, meet us at Databricks booth #1420 for a live session hosted by Angelik Laboy Torres and Tom Konewka on building interactive, governed apps on top of existing data using Retool’s Enterprise AppGen capabilities. In just a few prompts, we’ll show you how finance teams can turn Databricks data and models into a live investigation hub that surfaces anomalies, duplicate payments, and spend spikes in real time. Secure, production-grade applications built on top of your data that can be built by the people who understand your business. If you’re headed to re:invent, you won’t want to miss this. Can’t make this session? Meet us at Retool Booth #157 and don’t forget to talk to our experts during the show.

30+ engineers, data scientists, and analysts across Paris, London, and Casablanca united to build workflows, agents, and applications at our 3-day enablement hackathon hosted with our partners at Artefact. We saw amazing solutions built that spanned incredibly diverse domains, including: An employee onboarding automation app to streamline repetitive HR tasks. An application admin panel with chatbots to monitor usage and surface insights. Augmented order registration in SAP with validation and workflow automations Mobile + web expense reporting tools that reduce manual back-and-forths An AI agent for procure-to-pay management, from request to approval An e-commerce agent delivering product recommendations and taking real actions The breadth of these use cases—HR ops, application management, ERP workflows, finance automation, procurement, and commerce—shows the true power of pairing strong data talent with Retool’s enterprise AppGen capabilities. A huge thank you to the Artefact team—and to all the builders who joined, learned, and shipped. We can’t wait to see what you build next.

The building revolution is here. In our 2025 Builder Report, we found that 48% of non-engineers can now build directly without waiting for engineering. If you're a domain expert, you can solve problems faster than ever. David Hsu sat down with The Neuron - AI News to discuss why the future belongs to builder-first organizations, and how Retool is fueling this transformation.

Your Excel wizard might be your next app builder 📊➡️💻 Retool CEO David Hsu explains why the next generation of “builders” are the people who already think in formulas, rows, columns, logic, and workflows And with AI lowering the barrier even further, they’re becoming fully capable of building internal apps on top of company data. If your org has Excel power-users, you may already be sitting on your future app builders. 📺 YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dXCG-WZG 🎧 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dRCuAMet 🎙️ Apple Podcast: https://lnkd.in/dk3bbFds #AI #Retool #FutureOfWork #InternalTools #AppDevelopment #LowCode #Automation #DigitalTransformation #TechLeadership #TheNeuronPodcast #AIPodcast #AIExplained #TechPodcast

The best way to learn AI Assisted development? Just start building. Retool lets you build production-ready software at the speed of conversation while staying in control of your apps and data. At our second AI Build Week, we demonstrated just what you can create with our AppGen Platform. APIs turned into apps, Stripe data becoming a churn dashboard, unwieldy spreadsheets and CSVs transformed into visualizations, Snowflake data vibe coded into customer license trackers, and so much more. As we built apps in real-time, so did your questions. So read on for a quick recap that answers some of your biggest FAQs, including: - How can AI-assisted development help non-technical users build apps? - How much context does Assist have when building and editing apps? - Can I roll back to an earlier version of my app if something breaks? …And so much more https://lnkd.in/e-bHau2g

Move fast, make things. The age of AppGen has redefined who can build software and how quickly it can be done, but guardrails are becoming essential to avoid heading in the wrong direction. https://lnkd.in/eQFH9cS2 There doesn't need to be a trade-off between innovation and security. A prompted AI tool can bring you towards a working prototype, but it doesn't consider the enterprise essentials such as authentication, row-level permissions, or audit trails. Governed platforms such as Retool are bridging the gap between AI code generation and production deployment. When builders can ship secure, production-ready solutions just as quickly as they could prototype insecure ones elsewhere, organizations can move faster without worrying about the future headaches. This is just one of the many insights from our 2025 Builder Report, so give it a read at the link above to learn about the future of work.
