  • The latest national data offers encouraging signs for pedestrian safety. According to NHTSA, overall traffic fatalities declined nearly 7% in 2025, while the Governors Highway Safety Association reported that pedestrian deaths fell for the third consecutive year. These improvements show that progress is possible, but too many people are still losing their lives on our roads. Continued investment in proven safety strategies, including automated enforcement, public education, and safer infrastructure, can help communities build on this momentum. This Pedestrian Safety Month, every driver can help make our roads safer by slowing down, staying alert and watching for pedestrians. #PedestrianSafetyMonth #RoadSafety #SafeStreets

  • As toll roads expand across the United States, managing charges and violations across multiple tolling authorities can become increasingly complex for fleet operators. We’re teaming up with U.S. Bank to help simplify that work for its Voyager customers. Our toll management solution is now integrated with the U.S. Bank Voyager platform, enabling customers to automatically pay and record tolls on participating toll roads nationwide. The solution also helps fleets manage toll payments and violations, reduce unexpected costs, and spend less time on administrative tasks. Learn more on our blog: https://lnkd.in/d84kfv3c

  • The next shift in fleet management is happening inside the vehicle. In a new article for Forbes Technology Council, Verra Mobility Chief Customer Officer Stacey Moser explores how built-in vehicle connectivity could help fleet operators make decisions in real time, from managing toll costs to identifying maintenance needs. Stacey also makes the practical challenge clear: the value of connected vehicle data depends on whether businesses can access it, integrate it and use it in ways that fit their fleets. • Recent debate around automated license plate reader (ALPR) systems has raised important questions about cameras, license plates and privacy. While ALPR systems and automated traffic safety programs may use similar technology, they are designed for different purposes. Automated enforcement is built to improve road safety. Speed, red-light and school bus stop-arm programs address specific dangerous driving behaviors, with the goal of encouraging drivers to follow traffic laws and reducing violations over time. Communities should ask how any technology that collects vehicle information is used and what safeguards are in place. Our latest blog explains why those questions matter and how automated traffic safety programs differ from ALPR networks: https://lnkd.in/dtzeS5yg
