Amy Valdes posted thisIn my 2+ years at Wesco thus far, I've been involved in some of the most enlightening and honest conversations I've ever had in the workplace because of my involvement in our BRG's. In an effort to learn more about how I can be a better ally and support to my LGBTQ+ colleagues, I joined our PRIDE BRG board this year, and I've spent much of my time listening and learning so far. As we kick off our internal PRIDE month events this week, I'm honored to be a part of a BRG that works with so much passion to ensure that everyone can feel comfortable bringing their authentic self into the workplace, and I'm committed to doing my part in furthering those efforts.

Building an inclusive culture is not a moment in time—it is sustained, purposeful work. It requires listening to diverse perspectives, acting with empathy, and holding ourselves accountable to create an environment where every employee feels seen, heard, and valued. Throughout this year, we stayed focused on doing the work that matters most: strengthening belonging, advancing inclusion and ensuring our people had the opportunity to thrive and bring their full selves to work. A critical driver of this progress has been our best-in-class VOICE Business Resource Groups. Their leadership, advocacy, and partnership helped shape meaningful conversations, elevate lived experiences, and translate inclusion into action across all of our regions. Through VOICE, we didn’t just talk about culture—we activated it. What makes me especially proud is that our inclusion efforts and our business performance moved forward together. When people feel included, trusted, and empowered, results follow. Our outcomes this year reflected the strength of our teams and the depth of our collective commitment.
