Angela Palmieri shared thisOn April 21, the United Nations projected that because of #COVID19, the number of people facing severe food insecurity worldwide could double to 265 million. The same week here in the US, the five-week total of job losses rose to a staggering 26 million, pushing millions more into food insecurity. I believe we have an obligation to do whatever we can, big or small, to support our neighbors and communities in need. One program I'd like to highlight is the work of the FoodBytes! by Rabobank team who has organized a coalition of brands to bring key food items to food banks across the country. Native State is proud to support this program and others like it to provide nourishing foods to families in need. #inthistogether #community #givingtuesdaynow https://lnkd.in/gvBmafvAngela Palmieri shared thisThese are uncertain times for many families and individuals. As a company, we believe we have an obligation to help those in need and to provide access to nutritious, healthy food choices. To do so, we are proudly working alongside an amazing coalition of brands, organized by the folks at FoodBytes! by Rabobank, to support our food banks, who are working around the clock to feed those facing food insecurity. These powerful, energizing bites are on their way to the front lines in Atlanta. #togetherwecandomore #covid19

Thirty-five of us shared dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar (thank you for the hospitality Amy Hom and Nichole Robillard) as Victor Fernandez and our friends at Black Box Intelligence™ opened with industry trivia. As I was trying to reach the end-line for Evolution, I soft-closed recruiting for QSR+ (our first online community ever) for a bit. Just needed to mentally get to Atlanta in one piece. But I’m opening that back up now. To refresh, QSR+ is an experiment I began a few months back where restaurant operators can exchange ideas and advice, commiserate, swap contacts, and connect with experts and each other in an environment without vendors. We chat (many times) every day on a WhatsApp channel and meet virtually a couple of times a month, which we did yesterday with Chick-fil-A operator Jon Harmeling to talk about AI prompts. Plus, I share exclusive content and reports and we arrange to get together whenever possible, across cities and countries. The best way I would describe QSR+ and what makes it unique, is it’s turned into a space, whether you're a one-unit aspiring operator or a multi-unit CEO, where a very large industry feels a bit smaller. Foodservice is different than some sectors in competitors tend to be more gracious with their time and experience. But it’s not always easy to find a seat at the table. QSR+ does that. And it was an honor for me to sit down with this group of industry mavens who have taken a chance on this crazy idea of mine. If you’re a restaurant operator and interested in joining, here’s a special VIP link to do so: https://lnkd.in/eGzPsxxN And more on what's happening at QSR+ here: https://lnkd.in/e7EVzf_f You can also DM me with any questions. Always happy to help. Angela Palmieri liked thisAngela Palmieri liked this"The industry has an affordability crisis" This is one of the blunt realities Richard Shank with Technomic, Inc. presented yesterday up on the main stage on Day 1 of Informa's tech conference FS/TEC. Money woes, gas prices, tariffs, and fading consumer confidence run parallel to the menu prices that just keep going up. For a lot of consumers, that means that eating out — or even going through the drive-thru — is no longer in the budget. So restaurant operators must be aware of their customer's needs, preference, and the limits of their wallets. How do you do that and where should operators focus on now? Another key takeaway from Rich: "Brands that are winning [think Texas Roadhouse, Chili's, Taco Bell] are investing in experience, hospitality....and you gotta stay culturally relevant." Stay in the loop of the human experience, and as an operator, you'll live long and prosper. (See what I did there? Cultural relevance!) Angela Palmieri liked thisAngela Palmieri liked thisJustin Erbacci, Director General of ACI World - Airports Council International, opened #WAGA2026 in Lima, Peru this morning, with a clear message for airports: the demand is coming, but the industry needs to transform how it creates and uses capacity. Global passenger traffic is expected to reach 10 billion in 2026 and double to 19.8 billion by 2047. But with geopolitical uncertainty, infrastructure constraints, rising investment requirements and growing congestion, simply building more infrastructure won't be enough. Justin highlighted three shifts ACI World believes the industry needs to make: ✈️ Capacity constraints → capacity creation – using technology, data and better system-wide coordination to get more from existing infrastructure, alongside targeted investment. 💼 Regulation → enablement – creating stable, predictable frameworks that allow airports to attract the capital needed to invest, innovate and grow. 🤝 Infrastructure → hospitality – putting the passenger at the centre, using technology to remove friction while retaining the human element of the airport experience. Looking forward to the rest of the conference! Follow me for more updates! #aviationindustry #airports #airportinvestment #airportcapacity

Angela Palmieri liked thisAngela Palmieri liked thisThis morning’s ACI World - Airports Council International Women in Aviation breakfast was a brilliant reminder of why these conversations matter. Hearing from Lorie Argus, CEO of Melbourne Airport, and Angeline Flemming, Director of Sustainability at Aruba Airport Authority N.V., there were plenty of career lessons, but one message kept coming through: don’t wait for someone else to decide that you’re ready to step up. A few things stuck with me from today's diacussion: 🤚🏼 Put your hand up. Lorie spoke about taking jobs nobody wanted, moving countries for opportunities and continually saying yes to the next challenge. Her reflection that she spent much of her career waiting for the next promotion, rather than dreaming bigger, was particularly powerful. 👁️ Visibility matters. As Lorie put it, doing great work isn't always enough if nobody knows you're doing it. Asking for opportunities, making yourself visible and finding sponsors who will open doors can make a real difference. 🗣️Try things that make you uncomfortable. Angeline spoke about moving from law enforcement into sustainability, while Lorie shared her team's “#notcomfortable” challenge. Growth often comes from doing something you don't yet feel completely prepared for. 🚸 The industry also has to remove practical barriers. The discussion around childcare, maternity leave, airport facilities and even something as basic as providing appropriate amenities for women working airside was a useful reminder that attracting women into aviation isn't enough. The workplace needs to support them once they're there. 🤝 And perhaps most importantly: support each other. Whether that's mentorship, sponsorship, making introductions, encouraging someone to apply for the role they don't think they're ready for, or simply being the person who taps someone on the shoulder and says “you've got this”. The aviation industry still has work to do, but conversations like this are an important part of moving it forward - thank you to ACI World for making it happen! #ACIWAGA2026 #Womeninaviation Bojana Jeremic Candace McGraw Justin Erbacci

Sustainability messaging is getting more specific — and that’s a good thing. New U.S. guidelines around recyclable packaging aim to bring more clarity (and accountability) to how brands communicate environmental claims. The goal isn’t to make sustainability harder — it’s to make it more honest. For marketers and brand leaders, this is an important reminder: Clear standards help build trust. Vague claims erode it. As expectations rise, brands that communicate sustainability with transparency and intention will stand out — not because they’re louder, but because they’re credible. Worth a read if sustainability is part of your brand story. https://lnkd.in/dEcjsift
