Ben Durand shared thisThe last two weeks have reminded me just how full life can be when you show up for both work and your passions! I'm thrilled to share that I've been promoted into Smartsheet's Strategic New Business segment, supporting our largest global clients at the very start of their transformation journey. There's something really meaningful about meeting organizations at that starting line. SKO in Vegas with the team only added to the excitement and the energy heading into this year is invigorating! But the moment that truly surpassed all expectations happened on stage last. Last night I had the privilege of performing for nearly 2,000 people at the historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium, opening for Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, and Lewis Brice alongside my good friends Martin & Kelly. One new original, one cover, and a night I'll never forget. I'm so grateful to work for a company that doesn't ask me to choose. Smartsheet has given me the flexibility to chase my dreams, and that trust means the world. Ben Durand liked thisBen Durand liked thisMost organizations think they're further along on AI than they actually are. The reality - AI is moving faster than the frameworks designed to measure it. Unlike cloud adoption or digital transformation, where maturity benchmarks have existed for decades, most orgs are navigating AI without a reliable way to know where they actually stand. After talking with dozens of leaders across industries and drawing on research from McKinsey, Gartner, and others, I've found most orgs fall into one of four stages: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟭 - 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Ad hoc ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot usage. No standard metrics. AI policy just forming. Individual wins, no team coordination. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟮 - 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 AI connected to a few data sources. A center of excellence forming. Measurement starting at the user level. Tool sprawl beginning. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟯 - 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 AI standards across multiple functions. Agents present and scaling. Cross-functional productivity gains emerging. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟰 - 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 Agents coordinating across systems. Data becoming a competitive asset. AI is a standard part of infrastructure. Here's what I've observed: most orgs self-report as Stage 2 or 3. But in fact they are actually at Stage 1. The gap isn't failure. It's just reality. The question is whether you're honest about where you are, because the path forward looks completely different depending on your starting point. Where is your org right now... honestly?

I said I was done with marathon running for awhile, but I threw my name in the lottery last year and well here we are! 😂 This training is what the marathon is all about from the bitter cold, injures and getting the flu, it wasn’t the “best” training, but I’m gonna leave it all out there on race day! Cheers to the next few weeks feeling healthy and earning my next Major! Looking forward to representing Concern Worldwide US on the world stage!
