Brian Everson posted thisAfter more than 25 years in the health and fitness industry, followed by a few years exploring opportunities outside of the club business, I’m excited to share that I’m returning to an industry I’ve always loved. I’ve joined Onelife Fitness as Vice President of Strategy & Business Transformation, working alongside Ori and an incredibly talented leadership team. I’m excited to bring my experience back to the club business and help translate strategy into action—supporting our clubs and team members, enhancing the member experience, and helping Onelife continue to grow and evolve. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences, relationships, and people who have shaped my career along the way. Each chapter has taught me something different, and I’m excited to bring those lessons into this next one. I couldn’t be more energized about what’s ahead. Time to get to work!

Brian Everson shared thisA little gratuitous Dad moment… I’m excited to share Isabelle’s post as she wraps up her second summer internship at Best Buy. Over the past two summers, she’s had the opportunity to learn from some great people, take on meaningful work, and get a firsthand look at what it takes to operate a complex retail business. A big thank you to Best Buy and the many leaders, mentors, and team members who invest so much time and energy into creating opportunities like this for Isabelle, and other young professionals. Programs like these do more than provide valuable experience — they help develop the next generation of leaders. As a parent, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch your kids find their interests, challenge themselves, and begin building their own professional paths. I couldn’t be more proud. Congratulations, Isabelle — well done!Brian Everson shared thisI’ve officially wrapped up my second internship at Best Buy, this summer as a Merchandising & Demand Planning Analyst Intern supporting the Traditional & 3D Printing category! This summer has been incredibly special. I gained a deeper look into the business behind the scenes, from forecasting and inventory planning to ordering and promotional strategy. I also completed a summer‑long project analyzing the 3D printing market. I evaluated where the industry stands today, how Best Buy shows up within it, and presenting recommendations to help strengthen the category moving forward. A huge thank you to my manager and Category Lead, Ashley Caldie (Ross), my mentor, Kristin Battipaglia, and the rest of my team for welcoming me, supporting me, and investing so much in my growth. I’m so grateful for everything you poured into my experience this summer. I also want to give a heartfelt thank‑you to Amy Cook and Theresa Farrell Selz for making the Category Intern experience so memorable. I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done to support me over the past two summers. I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned into my senior year and keep building on the momentum from this internship!💙💛

Brian Everson shared thisGrateful to be part of this week’s Health & Fitness Association (HFA) Fly-In in Washington, D.C. Proud to join 130+ industry leaders on Capitol Hill—collectively participating in 100+ meetings and delivering a clear, consistent message: physical activity must be at the center of preventive health, not in the margins. Appreciation to the HFA team for their leadership in bringing this together and continuing to advocate for policies that expand access, improve affordability, and ultimately drive better long-term health outcomes. Encouraging to see our industry aligned, organized, and stepping forward as part of the solution. #physicalactivityisprevention #hfaflyin #HFA #HealthandFitness #Advocacy #PublicHealthBrian Everson shared thisToday, 130 industry leaders met with policymakers in over 110 meetings across Capitol Hill, making the case that physical activity belongs at the center of America's preventive health strategies, not on the margins of it. The conversations covered prevention policy, HSA/FSA access, Medicare and CMS engagement, affordability, and long-term healthcare cost reduction. But the bigger message was simpler than any policy brief: This industry is organized, and it's ready to be the solution Congress needs for the nation's physical inactivity crisis. #physicalactivityisprevention #hfaflyin

Brian Everson shared thisExcited to see Aaptiv MSK officially in market—made possible through a great partnership with Aaron De Jong and the entire movr team. What stands out isn’t just the simplicity of the solution—it’s the proof behind it. Backed by clinical research and validated through case studies in both manufacturing and office settings, we’re already seeing meaningful impact on employers’ MSK challenges. It’s a practical reminder that small, consistent actions can drive real outcomes (a lesson I’m personally being reminded of more often than I’d like). This is also a natural extension of Aaptiv’s broader offering—pairing MSK care with our digital wellness platform and national gym network to support the full spectrum of employee health. Let's connect, if MSK is a growing challenge for your organization, happy to share what we’re seeing. https://lnkd.in/gSNtCS5KAaptiv Launches New MSK App in Partnership With movrAaptiv Launches New MSK App in Partnership With movr

Tara Levitt and Al Noshirvani were nothing but generous as I navigated work/life balance with a 3 month old; introducing me to operators and vendors all over the country and supporting every new venture I took on. Thank you both! After a few highly anticipated weeks of a break, I'll be working for Peter Stipher and Jerry Pugh at Workout Anytime Franchising Systems, LLC as VP of Technology and AI. Can't wait to dig in!

Brian Everson liked thisBrian Everson liked thisI just completed my second HYROX competition of the year, this time in Utah, alongside James Hurlock, founder and CEO of Fitura Brands, one of ABC Fitness’ newest customers. It was a great opportunity to connect outside of the usual business setting and experience firsthand what makes HYROX so compelling. The competition brings together people at every level, from first-time participants to elite athletes, around a shared goal, a communal experience and a reason to keep showing up. That creates a significant opportunity for gyms and studios. Community-led fitness continues to gain momentum, and operators should be thinking about how to participate in experiences that bring people together. The businesses that move early can help turn a single event into an ongoing member journey, connecting training, competition and community throughout the year.

I’m looking forward to connecting with health plan leaders and discussing how physician-led digital musculoskeletal (MSK) care can improve access, deliver better outcomes, and reduce unnecessary healthcare costs. If you’ll be attending, let’s connect. I’d welcome the opportunity to share our approach and learn more about your organization’s MSK priorities. #WAHP #DigitalHealth #MSK #HealthcareInnovation #HealthPlans #Milwaukee

Brian Everson liked thisBrian Everson liked thisThe peptide gold rush is in full swing. I believe a reckoning is coming. I’ve spent my career building health and fitness businesses. I’m excited about what peptides could make possible. I’m also concerned about how casually some people are selling them. Sam Blum’s recent Inc. article looks at the growing interest among executives and entrepreneurs. I understand it. People want to feel better, recover faster, and stay capable as they age. I’m one of them. But when someone tells me a peptide “works,” I want to know: For whom? Based on what human research? At what dose? From what source? And who is following the patient? Those questions deserve better answers than “I heard about it on a podcast.” In early 2023, I led the development of MIORA at Life Time, helping move our industry toward integrating medical care with fitness and nutrition. Our approach included medically guided peptides, including GLP-1s when appropriate, supported by diagnostics, strength training, nutrition, and ongoing care. Today, as President and COO of 10X Health, I’m focused on building on that work: helping patients access appropriate therapies through qualified medical providers, with responsible sourcing, individualized treatment, and follow-up. That also means being willing to say the evidence isn’t there yet. “Research use only,” or RUO, should give consumers pause. It does not establish that a product is safe for human use. The FDA has already challenged sellers marketing injectable peptides to people while putting those disclaimers on their products. FDA An influencer’s confidence tells you nothing about what’s in the vial. I expect this market to get much less forgiving. Sellers will have to answer harder questions about sourcing, claims, and patient outcomes. Some won’t survive that scrutiny. The opportunity is substantial. So is the responsibility. We need more human clinical research, clinicians willing to acknowledge uncertainty, and businesses prepared to put patient care ahead of the next sale. I want to help build that future. I’ve spent too long in this industry to confuse selling more products with helping more people. https://lnkd.in/gnN72Fbx #PeptideTherapy #PrecisionHealth #10XHealth

Brian Everson liked thisBrian Everson liked thisWe’ve spent years trying to make people better healthcare consumers. But are we giving them the right tools to do it? A new JAMA Health Forum piece highlights an important tension: cost sharing clearly influences healthcare utilization, but people don’t necessarily respond by eliminating only low-value care. They may use less high-value care, too. That matters as employers continue to wrestle with rising healthcare costs. The goal shouldn’t simply be less utilization. It should be: → Reduce unnecessary care. → Remove barriers to necessary care. → Help people find higher-quality care. For employers, that means asking some simple questions: Are we making it easier for employees to get the right care? Can they find a high-quality provider when they need one? Are navigation, second opinions and centers of excellence actually helping them get better care? And are cost or other barriers causing people to delay medications, preventive care or management of chronic conditions? Because having access to care on paper and being able to find and use the right care are two very different things. Cost sharing can influence how much healthcare people consume. It’s much less precise at determining WHICH healthcare they consume. A worthy question that we should be effectively trying to answer: “How do we make the right care easier to access and the unnecessary care easier to avoid?” Because ultimately, better health and better financial outcomes shouldn’t be competing objectives.

A physician writes the referral, insurance covers the membership, and this industry finally gets treated as healthcare instead of a discretionary expense. It's been a recurring topic of conversation on my pod for 9 years. Jon Canarick has been Managing Partner at North Castle Partners since 2001. Back in the day with Curves, he had the national footprint to make a real partnership with an Aetna or a United. He took the meetings and here's what he learned... Most employees don't stay on one insurance plan long enough for prevention to pay back. Paying for your good behavior at 40 to prevent a heart attack at 68 doesn't benefit that payer, because you're somebody else's member by then. "𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒚𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒚, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔." As much as many people want a recognizable villain, it simply comes down to the incentive structure. Show me the incentives and I'll show you the outcomes. Stop building toward a payer deciding to be generous. That decision isn't coming, and it isn't being withheld out of malice. The math doesn't math for them. Where the math does work is anywhere a member sticks around long enough for prevention to pay off. Medicare Advantage. Employers with low turnover. National systems outside the US. Those are real openings but they're narrow. The bigger shift is that consumers stopped waiting. They're buying GLP-1s, wearables, and blood panels with their own money. OpenAI reported 23 million health-related queries a week (as of Jan 2026). That isn't reimbursement, it's consumer-driven healthcare. The convergence everyone has been predicting is happening. It's coming from the ground up instead of the top down, and the gym is already standing where the consumer is. Simple is expensive. How can the #fitness and #wellness industries leverage the latest innovations to encourage more people to lead healthier lives? IMHO: convenience. And, and a big part of convenience is simplification. Most consumers don't want more data, more dashboards, more metrics. This and other topics we dive into on the latest episode of the Owner's Seat Podcast, with Albert Ramos Jr. YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gP3Y5RRb Podcast Platforms: https://lnkd.in/gpVgbwgq

Every team ends up with a meeting rhythm. The real question is whether that rhythm actually helps the team operate better or simply fills space on the calendar. When the cadence is unclear or poorly designed, information tends to move unevenly through the organization. Teams work hard, but they often lack visibility into what other groups are doing, where priorities are shifting, or where obstacles are building. T he result is duplicated effort, delayed decisions, and frustration that feels operational but is really structural. One structure that has worked well for us is a cascading rhythm. I meet with my team to hear what they are seeing on the ground. That information rolls up into my conversation with my leader, and from there the most important insights get shared more broadly across leadership. When that rhythm works well, information moves quickly without creating unnecessary noise. Teams know their work will be represented, leaders have a clearer view of what is actually happening, and important signals travel through the organization without getting lost. The goal is not to add meetings to the calendar. The goal is to create a structure where information moves in a predictable way so that people across the organization can see the same picture and make better decisions together.

The term operating rhythm sounds corporate, but it’s really about one thing: consistency. It’s the cadence of how decisions get made, work gets done, and progress gets tracked — the daily, weekly, and monthly patterns that quietly drive performance. When you’re a solopreneur (or leading a small team), you play all the parts: CEO, COO, CFO, creative, admin, and more. Which means it’s easy to get stuck in one mode — all vision, all execution, or all reaction — and lose your rhythm altogether. So, what’s yours? 🧭 When do you step back for big-picture thinking? 🗓️ When do you plan and prioritize? 💻 When do you actually do the work? 📣 When do you share it? 🤝 When do you connect with clients or customers? It doesn’t need to be rigid or over-engineered — just intentional. Find a cadence that helps you move between thinking, planning, and doing without losing your tempo. That’s your operating rhythm. . . . #Leadership #SmallBusiness #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessStrategy #BusinessDevelopment #Solopreneur #BusinessCoach #LeadershipDevelopment #IntentionalWork #SystemsThinking #PerformanceExcellence #TimeDesign #Focus #BusinessGrowth #OperationalExcellence
