After dealing with the layoffs at Meta in November of 2022, I can't say I was expecting to be in this position again so soon. I was raised by the community. I lived in many homes after my grandmother died.. mostly friends. I missed some of the lessons we learn from our parents in devloping a good moral compass. But I have been so lucky my whole life to have great friends that have been shining examples of what a good person is. Thank you!!! This experience has been incredible and I'm learning so much about launching and running a small business. Interestingly enough, all that OKR stuff I used to coach is very appreciated by my baristas. I review our vision, mission and strategy (OKRs) in every employee meeting and they get excited and start sharing ideas about how we might achieve our goals (KRs). I encourage them to run with their ideas and they love making contributions to our mission.
