Somewhere along the way you stopped fighting for yourself and called it 'responsibility.' You let life beat you down. You adapted to it. And then you called it 'normal.' That's bul/shxt. And you know it. Because we both know what's true... ...you forgot who you are. You buried your ambition. Under excuses. Under overwhelm. Under 'I'll get to it when things calm down.' That's why you're frustrated and pissed off all the time. You know that ambition still burns deep down in your belly. Stop hiding behind 'I’m not ready yet' and go dig that s/hxt out of the mud with your bare hands. If you don't, you'll keep living the same six months on repeat. Same problems. Same people. Same s/hxt. Different day. And it'll drive you f/xxking insane. Because I’ve watched people postpone their ambition until they’re numb. I’ve watched them build a life that looks spectacular on paper and feels like an iron cage. I’ve watched people wait for 'someday' and wake up bitter, spiritually flatlined, chewing on Pharmaceuticals like candy. Not you. You're not built for normal. You're not made to fit in. You weren't designed to settle for mediocrity and call it 'being realistic.' You've been given a gift. And the world deserves your talents. For a reason. Go remember who the f/xxk you are. Over 900 attendees strong. It was packed to overflowing with content, quality vendors from one end of the hall to the other, and lasting connections were forged. The Exit Planning Institute team did an unbelievable job orchestrating the details and being there for all our needs. To date, I have spent ZERO DOLLARS in marketing and ad spend for AMBITIOUS AF. This AAF movement is completely organic. Everything we do is via word of mouth. Everything. Just like good ‘ole fashioned American values should be, in my opinion. That’s why you’ll hear me say… ‘If you like what you see, hear, read… go tell someone about AAF who likes to wake up and kick a$$ everyday!’ And ya know what?? You guys do that!!! That’s how I know the AAF message actually resonates. It’s how many people you personally tell… …not whether my ‘cost per click’ is within some sort of parameter. Which is the mentality MISSING in today’s society. Which is this… The elbow grease it takes to build something from scratch and sustain the punch to the teeth every single day… …putting everything you have on the line to chase your most ambitious desires… …while everybody you thought you could trust throws dirt at your name and questions your sanity on a daily basis. And that’s on a normal day. Ha! It’s scary as f vxk to put your ideas out into the world not knowing whether people are gonna pick up what you put down. I know. But for those who do… …I always remind you it’s worth it. Always. Which is also why I don’t tell you how I used to win, I SHOW YOU how to win. I don’t tell you how I took action yesterday, I SHOW YOU how to take action today. I don’t tell you how I never cut corners, I SHOW YOU what making your life purposefully harder PRODUCES. So yeah, the AMBITIOUS AF growth isn’t moving at hyper speed. It’s slow and steady. And I’m okay with that. Because the foundation is strong as fvxk!! Built by overachievers with unwavering convictions who are ready to run down any MF’er who gets in their way. I’m damn proud of the community we’ve built, together, and where this movement is headed. We’re inspired by the resilience and determination we’ve witnessed across Southwest Florida as the community begins to rebuild and recover, stronger than ever. We are incredibly grateful to have safely weathered the storm and have already begun welcoming first responders and community members in need of hospitality at Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor. While our resort will offer limited services over the next few days, we’re committed to being a resource and support for our neighbors throughout this journey. Stay safe, and we’ll get through this together.

Carlos Cepero liked thisCarlos Cepero liked this🇺🇸 Let's celebrate GRADUATION DAY for Kevin from The NATIONAL FLIGHT ACADEMY!! A week ago I dropped him off and watched him carry his own bags in. And today he's leaving with his wings, arm patch, and graduation certificate. Earned, not given. He spent an entire week at The NAVAL AIR STATION military base in Pensacola FL immersed in the life of a Naval Aviator. Learning about wind, speed, thrust, and aerodynamics. Constructing flight plans and working mathematical calculations. Simulating extraction missions with a rotary wing aircraft in a hurricane with ambiguous information. Waking up at 0530 each day for room inspections, morning colors, and standing at attention for our National Anthem. And here's why all this matters... If you never put your kid in a hard room, you'll never know what they're made of. As a parent, it's your obligation to expose them to friction before life does it for you, on its terms, with way higher stakes. I didn't send Kevin to camp for fun. I sent him to learn he can do hard things, find a leadership position among his peers, and accomplish things he never thought he could. That's the job. Put them in the room. Let it be hard. Carlos Cepero liked thisCarlos Cepero liked thisI don't fix hotels. I restore confidence. It took me years in hospitality to realize those aren't the same thing. When I arrive at a property, I rarely find a team that doesn't care. I find leaders who are exhausted, employees who've stopped believing things can get better, and systems that have slowly unraveled under the weight of staffing shortages, turnover, and simply trying to survive another day. The menus usually aren't the problem. The SOPs usually aren't the problem. The POS system usually isn't the problem. People are waiting for someone to slow the chaos down long enough to remind them what great hospitality feels like again. That's where I thrive. Not because I have all the answers, but because I ask questions. I listen before I lead. I've never believed leadership starts with having all the answers. It starts with meeting people where they are and helping them believe in what's possible again. Then we get back to the basics: consistency, communication, ownership, and pride. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting hotels through openings, transitions, and operational challenges across multiple brands. No matter the logo on the building, one thing has always remained true: People want to do great work. Sometimes they just need someone who believes they can. As I continue building my career in hospitality operations and task force leadership throughout the Caribbean and beyond, I'm reminded that our greatest asset has never been the building. It's always been the people inside it.

Carlos Cepero liked thisCarlos Cepero liked thisHad a GM candidate on the phone last week who spent the first ten minutes telling me how smooth everything was at his current property. No turnover problems, no F&B issues, ownership thrilled, staff morale through the roof. I have been doing this long enough to know when someone is giving me the site visit version of their own operation instead of the real one. Then about fifteen minutes in he stopped performing and just told me the truth. Said his F&B director had walked in March and he still had not filled it. Said ownership was breathing down his neck about labor costs and he did not fully agree with the approach but was doing it anyway. Said he was tired. That is the conversation that actually told me whether he was worth presenting anywhere. I see this pattern constantly. There is a type of leader in this industry who has gotten very good at the polished answer, the clean story, the interview version of themselves that never admits a mistake or a hard quarter. It works...right up until it doesn't. A reference call, an old colleague mentioning something in passing, a former line cook who has no reason to protect the narrative anymore, and the whole performance falls apart faster than it took to build. The GMs I trust most are not the ones with the cleanest answers. They are the ones who seem to actually know what their own team says about them when they are not standing in the room. Not the version on their LinkedIn, the real version, from whoever has been there long enough to have an honest opinion. That is a much harder thing to fake than a good interview, and it is usually the difference between someone who can run a property long term and someone who is good at getting hired.

Carlos Cepero liked thisCarlos Cepero liked thisIf I’m honest… today was hard. I don’t say that often. I usually just put my head down and keep moving. But today felt heavy. Not because anything in paticular happened today (overall today was a great day). I haven’t been sleeping well again. I’m tired. The kind of tired that doesn’t go away with one good night’s sleep. But I still got up. I still did the things that needed to be done. Especially the hard things. I’ve learned something over the last year: if I can’t keep a promise to myself, I can’t expect anyone else to. So I keep showing up. Not because it’s easy. Because my integrity matters more than my feelings in the moment. This past year has stripped away a lot. I’ve had to take an honest look at who I am, who I’ve been, and who God is calling me to become. It hasn’t been comfortable. It hasn’t been quick. And most of it has been quiet. I’ve spent more time in God’s word than I have asking everyone else what they think I should do. Not because I don’t value wise people, but because I needed to know His voice before I listened to anyone else’s. I’ve made some incredibly hard decisions based on that alone. This week, I’m starting to see some of those prayers answered. Doors opening. People showing up. Reminders that God meant it when He said He wouldn’t leave me—even during the seasons when I felt completely alone. I don’t have everything I once thought I wanted. But if all I ever have is exactly what I have today, I’ll still call myself blessed. God has been faithful… even on the days when my heart had a hard time believing it. #stillfightingthegoodfight
