Chad Coder reposted thisChad Coder reposted thisYour data is valuable. Your partners' data is valuable. But getting them to work together, securely, compliantly, and at scale, has always been the hard part. That's the problem Rhino Federated Computing solves. At the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Startup Partner Summit, our Chief Commercial Officer Chris Laws broke down how Rhino helps organizations with highly regulated, proprietary data work together: ➡️ Harmonize disparate datasets across institutional boundaries, no matter how different the schemas, formats, or governance requirements ➡️ Run analytics, train models, execute inference pipelines, and deploy agents all while preserving privacy and without centralization We're proud to partner with the team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring federated computing to the enterprises that need it most. Chad Coder reposted thisChad Coder reposted thisGreat to be back at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Startup Partner Summit this week! The biggest takeaway for me is that AWS is continuing to make increasingly meaningful investments to help startup partners turn technical differentiation into a repeatable GTM motion. Three examples stood out: 1) A new internal feature at AWS called 'Startups You Should Know' will proactively recommend Global Startup Program partners to AWS sellers, helping startups become more visible alongside larger, more established partners. 2) AWS Marketplace is becoming even more central to enterprise procurement and startup GTM. The message was clear: make it as easy as possbile for customers and AWS sellers to procure cutting edge software applications. 3) New AI capabilities in Partner Central will help partners identify next actions, manage co-sell opportunities, surface funding options, and build more tailored sales plays. For us at Tile, this reinforces the opportunity to work with AWS on a very specific problem: helping life sciences organizations make scattered, complex, and multimodal data usable by people and AI agents without forcing them to move, copy, or convert everything into a new central location. After all, the best partnerships are not about logos or generic co-selling. They are about creating a clear, repeatable better together story that helps customers get to value faster! Thank you to the AWS Startups, Partner, Marketplace, and HCLS teams and especially Chad Coder, Michelle Laws, Gokhul Srinivasan, Nicole Cardosa and Gareth Sessel, MD, MS (EE) for the invitation to attend and contribute. And also to the many founders, operators, investors, and partners who shared candid perspectives over the last few days. 🙏 Go forth and partner! #StartupPartnerSummit2026 AWS for Healthcare & Life Sciences

Chad Coder reposted thisChad Coder reposted thisThe Rhino Federated Computing Team is back from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lifesciences Community day in Palo Alto, after a fantastic day of conversations, collaboration, and innovation. It was a pleasure to connect with our partners at Amazon Web Services and Eli Lilly and Company, and to share the success of #tunelab. We also presented emerging capabilities in federated data analysis and federated data curation - and how these approaches can help organizations collaborate more effectively, unlock insights from distributed data, and accelerate the pharmaceutical development cycle. A big thank-you to Hao Zheng, Chad Coder, Olivia Choudhury, PhD and the entire team who made the day such a success. Also thanks to TamarindBio founders & Tunelab ecosystem colleagues Deniz Kavi and Sherry Liu who joined us for an engaging conversation about the future of AI-assisted drug development over dinner. Chad Coder reposted thisChad Coder reposted thisAmazing day at the AWS for Healthcare & Life Sciences Community Day in Palo Alto yesterday! Thanks Erin Chu, DVM, PhD, Olivia Choudhury, PhD, Sujaya Srinivasan, Ankit Malhotra & Chad Coder for inviting BioTuring to sponsor such a well organized event. 👏 So many great talks (especially Son Pham, love your sense of humor 😊), but here are my main takeaways: - The big theme was that AI in life sciences is shifting from generic models to biology‑aware, workflow‑integrated systems, with Biological Foundation Models (BioFMs) emerging as a core platform concept. - Speakers emphasized the importance of multimodal biology. So integrating protein structures, imaging, small molecules and biophysical measurements into unified models, rather than building siloed, single‑modality solutions. - Another recurring message was that data without context is noise. Teams aren’t just trying to aggregate more data. Instead there is a focus on trying to build almost like a governed data substrate layer where each piece of information carries rich context (eg descriptions, authors, metadata, schemas etc), and to do it in a way that leaves data in place rather than converting & migrating it - Polls from the executive session were very pragmatic: the top desired breakthroughs were accelerating drug discovery & enhancing diagnostic precision, while the top investment priority was access to curated training data, ahead of interpretability, integration, or infrastructure. Agree? Disagree? Seeing something else? Would welcome any thoughts / comments below. 👇

Chad Coder reacted on thisChad Coder reacted on thisTwo months ago today, I woke up with a headache unlike anything I had experienced before, and I’ve had my share of headaches over the years. Then came pain in my chest, back, neck, and finally my jaw. I knew something was very wrong...... I was having a heart attack. My husband rushed me to the hospital, where I spent the next week undergoing what felt like every test imaginable. Ultimately, I was diagnosed with vasospastic angina. During the testing, doctors also discovered significant plaque, including two vulnerable plaques in my LAD, something I never expected, particularly because my cholesterol has always been unusually low. A friend encouraged me to ask about Lp(a), or lipoprotein(a). I was tested and learned that mine is very high, providing an important piece of the puzzle I hadn't known was there. Today, as I return from medical leave, there are a few things I want to share. - First, I am incredibly grateful to Rad AI. From the moment this happened, I was given the time, space, and support I needed to focus on my health and recovery. My colleagues checked in, stepped in, and showed me what it means to work for a company that genuinely cares about its people. Thank you. - Second, I hope other women will remember that a heart attack may not look or feel the way we expect. Chest pain was actually the least significant of my symptoms. I had no left-arm pain. For me, the most intense pain was in my head and jaw, accompanied by an overwhelming sense that something was very wrong. I listened to that feeling, and I'm very glad I did. - Finally, I had never heard of Lp(a) before this happened. Unlike the cholesterol numbers most of us are familiar with, Lp(a) is largely genetically determined. If you don't know your Lp(a), consider asking your healthcare provider whether testing makes sense for you. I'm returning to work feeling very lucky.... for my husband, my family and friends, my medical team at The Christ Hospital Health Network, and the people at Rad AI who supported me through a very difficult couple of months. I'm happy to be back. And I'm especially grateful to be here.

Chad Coder reacted on thisChad Coder reacted on thisA few weeks into my role as CAIO for Optum Insight, and I'm genuinely enjoying being a student again. The pace of innovation in HealthAI right now is astounding. Concepts we've relied on for years are being rethought and challenged. That's great for the field, but it puts real weight on leaders setting the broader AI vision and strategy: staying informed enough to make the right call among hundreds of alternatives in a space where the decisions carry real consequences, as healthcare has no room for error. One thing I keep coming back to is staying flexible on the options while protecting your non-negotiables at all costs. In HealthAI, those non-negotiables are trust, privacy, and security at scale — while still improving outcomes, expanding access, and lowering costs. Practically, that means real hours in the trenches with engineers and scientists, and staying ready to bring the bigger picture to the board when it's needed. The challenge was never coming up with the vision; it's showing thousands of others what you can already see. The last few years, I was heads-down with work, so I'm using these first few weeks to learn — reading new papers, talking to our science and tech partners, and leaning on trusted advisors. The road ahead is exciting, and I like our odds. Right now, more than ever, curiosity is a leadership skill you can never grow out of. Happy learning! #AILeadership #HealthAI #studentforlife

Global genomic data sharing and collaboration has always required more than technology — it requires trust, standards, and people willing to work across borders. Proud to be part of that conversation, and huge kudos to #GA4GH and especially Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE) for co-hosting this event. I'll be speaking on Tuesday, Sept 29 (12:50 PM, Grand Ballroom) on “Accelerating Genomic Discovery at Population Scale — Cloud, AI and the Ecosystem Powering Precision Medicine." Chad Coder liked thisChad Coder liked this🤝 So fun catching up with my friend and former AWS teammate Rishi Madhok. One of the best things about working with great people is the friendships that last beyond the job. I loved hearing Rishi’s perspective as a trained physician and serial entrepreneur on how AI is helping to solve real problems in healthcare. We talked about how voice models, computer use agents, and BAA and ZDR coverage are changing what healthcare startups can build, and why I believe these are meaningful differentiators for OpenAI. Then we got to the harder problem (still unresolved): how to raise grounded kids in NYC 😂 Always good to pick up where we left off.

The Dataiku platform is a 10/10, but the people are 100/10. Looking back, I could have never imagined being right in the middle of one of the most impactful tech shifts of our generation. If I tagged everyone who left a mark on my time here, I’d break LinkedIn’s character limit. From international experiences in Prague, Barcelona, Madrid, and Cancún, to working alongside world-class leadership at every level—I am deeply grateful. Starting Monday, I’m kicking off my next adventure. I feel like I’m joining a true dream team in a dream role, and I couldn't be more excited for what's ahead! 🚀 LFG!!!

Too often, health systems are built on disconnected data and manual processes. But modern care demands more. This article explores how interoperability is more than a tech issue—it’s a mission-critical capability for safer, more efficient, and more equitable care. Pair that with our eBook, The Future of Public Health, to see how agencies and providers are embracing AI and digital health for stronger outcomes. Read the article: http://2.sas.com/6047ACpe7

Reposting this because it captures a shift CIOs have been feeling for a while, and many teams still lack the missing layer to make it real. What stands out is not “more AI.” It is discipline. Governance. Clarity on where technology actually improves outcomes for clinicians, patients, and staff. Every example in this article points to the same constraint. The problem is not whether AI works. The problem is deciding what to scale, when to scale it, and what it displaces across care delivery, workload, trust, and cost. That is where most organizations struggle. Health systems run hundreds of tools across clinical, operational, and security domains, but trade-off decisions still occur late, in meetings, and often after friction surfaces at the bedside. This is precisely where aangine fits. aangine is not another execution tool. It is a foresight and decision layer that sits above EHRs, AI platforms, and operational systems. It lets leaders simulate scenarios before scaling. What happens to clinician time? Where capacity is tight. How risk and cost shift. Which assumptions break under real conditions. Ambient AI, multimodal models, identity changes. These succeed only when leaders can anticipate consequences early and plan deliberately rather than react. If CIOs had a safe place to pressure test decisions before rollout, how much faster could discipline, trust, and real returns follow in 2026?
