Your app is quietly on fire, and your monitoring stack has no idea. When we first started talking to Riot Games, they hit the problem on its head: even with an enormous investment in backend observability, there are instances where the player experience is broken. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, “𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?” Think about ordering food through an app. Payment service: up. The dependencies between services tell a different story than any one of them tells alone. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁. We're seeing this play out across industries: ➡️ Businesses like Dana, one of the largest Fintechs in Indonesia, are integrating their full Sentry telemetry to monitor critical user experiences end-to-end. ➡️ Supabase and Hospitable migrated off Grafana to get complete front-to-back distributed tracing via OpenTelemetry, enabling one unified picture instead of disconnected backend slices. ➡️ Wispr Flow is pulling application logs alongside their telemetry so Sentry's AI can resolve incidents faster. More signal, better answers. ➡️ In gaming, where the cross-platform experience problem is acute, Krafton, Second Dinner is expanding with us because we monitor any game, on any platform, for the actual player experience. ➡️ And the AI labs: Anthropic, Mistral AI and others, plus coding agents like Cursor, are using Sentry to monitor what their agents actually do — not just whether the server is up. Most teams are still spending millions a year staring at the backend. The teams building for the next decade are starting to flip the picture. Your users already know something is wrong. The question is whether you find out before they do.

The only path forward is giving agents the right data to act on, and acting fast. Sentry 'Issues' are the highest-fidelity signal for broken software that you can now feed an autonomous agent. An Issue comes with stack traces, breadcrumbs, release context, and Root Cause Analysis already baked in. Production breaks. Sentry fires an Issue including a root caused. Agent investigates, opens a PR, posts a summary to Slack. That's the loop. We've been working with partners like Cursor to close it, and today, Cursor Automations support event-based triggers for Sentry. This is what a system built for team/agent speed looks like. Chris De Vylder liked thisChris De Vylder liked thisLast week I fine-tuned a small model that's outplaying frontier models at chess. Here's how it happened. I took Qwen-8B, an open model small enough to run on a laptop. Fine-tuned it on 2 million chess positions labeled by Stockfish. Then a short RL pass to sharpen it. Replit Agent did most of the work. It built the dataset. Ran three parallel experiment branches. We've been calling this vibe coding for a while now. You describe what you want, the agent builds it. This felt like something new. Vibe research. Models used to be genuinely bad at ML work. That's changed fast. Now someone with good intuition can do interesting research, even if they've never trained a model before. Because the bottleneck isn't execution anymore. It's taste. Knowing what to try. Recognizing when a result is too good to be true. Deciding what matters. That skill doesn't require a PhD. It requires curiosity and reps. The pool of people who can do real ML work just got a lot bigger. Chris De Vylder liked thisChris De Vylder liked this🚨WARNING🚨 I’m about share an actual "here's what x taught me about b2b sales…" post. And no, it's not a parody. Last week I spent a few days traveling around the US with my son, he's a rising high school senior who plans to play basketball in college. It was a great week and he's been doing an excellent job meeting with coaches and presenting himself well. I'm pretty proud. While the "sports teaches you [insert pretty much every life skill ever]" trope has been played out, I found it profound how this recruitment process is also a training ground for what it actually takes to succeed in business. Outside of the top 150 (who are aggressively recruited by everyone), it's not good enough to just be a great basketball player. Most players have to do extra work for their talent and story to be heard. Watching my son, I realized the skills he's building skills will transcend beyond the playing lines ➡️ He had to identify the right targets - not every program, the right programs. ➡️ He had to cold reach out to coaches who'd never heard of him, the same way an SDR cold emails a VP who's never heard of your product. ➡️ He had to turn his game play into a story - going beyond "here are my stats" to "here's who I am and how I compete when it's hard." ➡️ In every meeting with a coach, he had to show up confidently, with self-assurance and prepared to answer questions You can be technically great and still get passed over. What gets a coach to watch the film, or a buyer to take the call, is trust. And trust gets built by telling the story of the missed shot and the comeback in a way that lands. Whatever role you're in, the skill gets you in the door, the story ultimately gets you the offer. Below is Ian with Jaylen Wells (Memphis Grizzlies). Of course, because it is a massive AI model, you can't actually use it without very powerful servers (even after it is quantized). So, since I can't run it, I've been reading the weights and I can tell you that page one starts strong: mostly negatives, a late run of zeros, and one unexpectedly large positive value.

Getting to stand at our booth and talk with disability services directors, IPSE and TPSID program leads, and transition staff from across the country was the highlight of our year so far. A few things I'm taking home: → The people doing this work care deeply. Every conversation started with "how does this actually help my students?" → Programs are being asked to do more with the same staff and the same hours. Tools have to save time, not add to the pile. → Independence isn't a feature. It's the whole point. To everyone I meet, who stopped by, scanned the demo loop, or grabbed a one-pager: thank you. I learned as much from you as you did from us.
