Christopher Di Censo shared thisKlaviyo just became a launch partner for Meta's Muse — their new AI agent for consumers and small businesses. Translation: you can now connect Klaviyo to Muse and just ask it things. What's my last campaign's revenue? Which flows are underperforming? Who's about to churn? Then have it draft the next campaign or build a flow for you to approve. A couple of use cases I liked: → Muse watches your flows and flags conversion drops — so you catch the broken discount code at 7am, not in Monday's report. → It can spot customers who bought twice and vanished, then draft a win-back email that references what they actually bought. → It can connect your Instagram activity to your Klaviyo list, so the person who tagged you last week turns into a subscriber, not just a nice comment. The real takeaway: Klaviyo isn't trying to be the only place you work. It's showing up in Muse, Composer, ChatGPT, Claude, Shopify Sidekick — wherever you already are. Your customer data comes with you. If you're on Klaviyo and Muse, you can connect them right now in the Muse app. https://lnkd.in/gFs5CTq4Klaviyo + Meta Muse: Let an AI Agent Run Your Campaigns and Flows - KlaviyoKlaviyo + Meta Muse: Let an AI Agent Run Your Campaigns and Flows - Klaviyo

Christopher Di Censo shared thisKlaviyo and MuseChristopher Di Censo shared thisMuse has been all over my feed since it launched so when Meta asked if Klaviyo could be a launch partner for Muse for Small Business, we moved fast to make it real. Starting today, Muse can connect to a business's Klaviyo account and act on their data. Find new opportunities to engage your audience, build winback campaigns for customers who've gone quiet and schedule it all directly from Muse. You approve, Muse executes. I want Klaviyo's intelligence to be wherever marketers already are, not one more tab they have to open. This is what that looks like in practice. We build fast so our customers can build faster.

Christopher Di Censo shared thisMost AI pilots don't fail because the model is bad. They fail because nobody fed it context. Klaviyo's Jake Cohen breaks AI down into 5 layers: data, models, inference, context, agents. Everyone's racing to the agent layer. Almost nobody's doing the unglamorous work underneath it — documenting brand voice, customer personas, product catalog, what "good" actually looks like. The numbers back it up: CMOs are putting 15.3% of marketing budgets into AI, but only 30% feel ready to scale it. Just 20% of companies capture 74% of the returns. The gap isn't the tool. It's the context you give it. Skip that step and you get generic output and a fully autonomous agent that orders 40 heads of garlic instead of 2 (real example in the piece — worth it alone). If you're evaluating AI right now, this is the read - https://lnkd.in/ghznmt5iAI context engineering and the connected customer experience - KlaviyoAI context engineering and the connected customer experience - Klaviyo

Christopher Di Censo posted thisWe keep doing to AI what we did to email in the '90s. Forrester's Shar VanBoskirk said it plain at K:BOS: marketers broke email by expecting the tool to fix bad data and a broken customer strategy. AI's on track to repeat that mistake — just faster and more expensive. The numbers back her up: → Average marketing team: 25 tools, 23 data sources, 16 people trying to wrangle it all → 53% say their customer data is too messy to act on → 50%+ of people use GenAI daily. Only 18% trust what it tells them That's the trap — "random acts of AI." Disconnected pilots that automate what you already do, just faster, with no data foundation underneath. Her fix isn't more AI. It's 4 things: customer-led, insights-driven, fast, connected. Proof it works: → RTL personalized win-back nudges using viewing history → viewership up 21% → Cooltra used AI to time top-up offers around actual usage → 12% more revenue, 10 hrs/week back Bottom line: AI scales whatever you give it — good or bad. Fix the data and strategy first, or you're just automating the mess. Full breakdown - https://lnkd.in/ginEQ3RX

Christopher Di Censo shared thisKlaviyo just went headless. At K:BOS today, we opened the CRM to AI agents and to marketers wherever they already work — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, whatever's open on their screen. 260+ MCP tools. 490+ APIs. All on live customer data, governed by the same real-time profile that powers Klaviyo. A marketer can ask ChatGPT what's trending and walk away with a campaign ready to send. An agent can read, write, and go live on its own. No need to open Klaviyo at all. Klaviyo is the autonomous B2C CRM. Excited to see what brands build with this- https://lnkd.in/gWtQ273BKlaviyo goes Headless, Opening its Platform to Agents and Marketers Wherever They Work - KlaviyoKlaviyo goes Headless, Opening its Platform to Agents and Marketers Wherever They Work - Klaviyo

Christopher Di Censo shared thisKlaviyo made some big announcements today at K:BOS. 🎉 A few highlights: Klaviyo goes headless, so brands can work with Klaviyo from wherever they already are, including Claude and ChatGPT. SQL inside Klaviyo Data Platform means anyone can ask a plain-language question and get back a precise answer, no data team required. And Personalization, Composer, and Customer Agent all got a lot more capable. Proud to be part of the team building this. Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gzV4BRmy

Christopher Di Censo posted thisHeading to Boston (KBOS) today for K:BOS 2026, and the excitement is real. Two days at the Hynes Convention Center packed with keynotes, breakout sessions, and workshops — including a fireside chat with Gwyneth Paltrow and an unscripted Q&A with Klaviyo's cofounder and co-CEO on where the platform and market are headed next. Beyond the sessions, this is really about the people: reconnecting with clients, meeting new prospects, and swapping ideas with leading brands, partners, and operators building the next generation of AI-powered, unified customer experiences across email, text, WhatsApp, push, web, and service.

Christopher Di Censo liked thisChristopher Di Censo liked thisYesterday, I turned 31. And as I reflect on the past year, one experience stands out as something that fundamentally changed me: 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. In mid-July, I competed in my first backyard ultra at the Back Cove Backyard Ultra in Portland, Maine. For anyone unfamiliar with the format, runners complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour, until only one person is left — making it a “last person standing” race. There’s no predetermined finish line. No known winning distance. You just keep showing up every hour until you can’t anymore. It was hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I say that having completed the Zion 100-mile ultramarathon earlier this year and 7 ultras over the past 12 months. What made this different was the mental battle. After running for 12, 16, 20, 24, 30 hours around the same loop, your mind starts looking for a way out. It creates very convincing reasons why you’ve done enough. Why quitting would be completely reasonable. My goal going into the race was to find my limit — and meet the version of myself that emerged when I got there. That’s one of the things I’ve come to appreciate most about endurance events. When you strip away the distractions and spend enough time in a deeply uncomfortable place, you learn a lot about yourself. The stories you tell yourself. The emotions and feelings that surface when you think about the people you love. The gratitude you feel for your body, your life, and simply being present. And the darker thoughts that are easier to quiet in everyday life. That you aren’t enough. That you aren’t worthy. That maybe you don’t have what it takes. Recently, backyard ultra legend Mark Dowdle said something 93 hours into the Last Soul Backyard Ultra that stopped me in my tracks: “𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞.” That captured so much of what this experience meant to me. Every time I chose to get back on the starting line and keep moving forward, I was collecting evidence against some of those stories. I went into the race hoping to win. I ultimately finished 3rd after 30 loops: 125 miles in 30 hours — 25 miles farther than I had ever run before. I’m proud of the result. But I’m much more grateful for what happened during those 30 hours. I came away knowing myself a little better and with a deeper confidence in my ability to endure hard things — on a race course and outside of one. This experience reinforced something I’ve come to believe: there’s real value in putting yourself in situations that truly test you. Sometimes we choose those challenges. Sometimes life chooses them for us. Either way, I’ve found they tend to be the places where the most growth happens. Looking forward to seeing what 31 teaches me — and how many loops I’ll be able to endure next time.

Christopher Di Censo liked thisChristopher Di Censo liked thisWe had the best dad in the entire world. Truly. On top of being an amazing human, he was also a consummate salesman. He could sell anything and he did - waste water treatment plant tanks among them (Ha, honestly, growing up we really didn't know what he sold) --- I digress. Among his truisms he used to say, "People buy from people they like." And he was right. That mantra proved true during my years as a QVC Program Host. You could give someone every feature, specification, dimension, and price point imaginable—and while those things absolutely matter, great selling also requires helping someone feel what that product could add to their life. We called it the "romance factor." What will Christmas morning feel like when your child runs down the stairs into the living room? How will that dress make you feel when you walk in to your class reunion? What could this product contribute to make your day easier, happier, more memorable? THEN give people the facts that help a potential customer visualize it. 😉 QVC taught me that great selling lives at the intersection of emotion, authenticity, and information. You have to engage the heart AND the head. I carried that lesson with me when Chanda Bell, our mom, and I started The Elf on the Shelf. We weren't simply selling a book and with an elf inside a box. We were inviting families to imagine Christmas mornings in a better way, childhood wonder, and a tradition their children would remember and cherish forever. Over twenty years later, I still think about the “romance factor” when we develop products, lean into partnerships, set-up retail experiences, and share stories at The Lumistella Company. My advice to founders: Know the top three features and benefits of your product (the rest probably don't matter). Know your numbers. But never forget to know your customer and how what you are offering can make them feel. #ThoughtLeadership #Entrepreneurship #Leadership #TheLumistellaCompany

Thank you to our partners commercetools and Stripe for being part of this one and of course to my team at Orium for an event that ran seamlessly from start to finish! Christopher Di Censo liked thisChristopher Di Censo liked thisHere's a little September recap... K:BOS was nuts. Non stop. I got to speak, and Klaviyo named ECD Digital Strategy Agency Partner of the Year for the Americas. Then I flew to California for Retail Club with the Klaviyo team. The podcast didn't stop either. We kicked off Season 2 with Ben Walter from PostPilot putting me in the hot seat. My take hasn't changed: Don't let AI scare you. Let that excite you. Nick Selman from Shoplift put it better than I could: "Confidently wrong is a really dangerous place to be in e-commerce." Especially when it's AI touching the experience that makes you money. John Roman sold BattlBox in 2021. Then bought it back in 2023 after a SPAC crash. His team also found $25,000 in inventory that had been sitting unlisted for months. Jeff Beacher went from the youngest headliner in Vegas history to building an AI chief of staff for Hollywood. Everyone else is building the shiny toys. He's building "the meat and potatoes, the stuff that makes everything run." Now... October's a big one for us. Something happened 10 years ago that changed everything for me. Anyone want to guess?

Christopher Di Censo liked thisChristopher Di Censo liked thisYou can run the exact same loyalty program playbook thirty times and still miss the mark on the thirty-first. And you're not executing it wrong. It's because loyalty is emotional at its core and the emotions a program builds are different for every brand. Experience running other loyalty programs tells you a lot about the mechanics: tiers, redemption, point structures, etc. It tells you very little about what a specific customer needs to feel to stay loyal to this brand. That has to be learned fresh every time, not assumed from the last program you built. Staying curious about a customer's actual goals, instead of leaning on what worked somewhere else. It’s what turns a configured product into a program that fits.

Christopher Di Censo liked thisChristopher Di Censo liked thisRecently had the opportunity to talk about Base Power Company and Piq Energy's recent study "Flexibility without Curtailment" with Joshua D. Rhodes, PhD on the Energy Capital Podcast. The most interesting case study in the paper looked at a particular 100 MW data center on Oncor's transmission system that, if built, creates 20+ new constraint violations, but these violations occur physically close areas where aggregations of residential batteries can be deployed to manage these constraints, requiring only 80MW total of 10-20MW aggregations at a half dozen substations. Gave a high level explainer of how it works here:

Top mistakes agencies make when partnering with institutions Most partnership failures aren’t about intent. They’re about structure. From misaligned expectations to weak compliance processes, small gaps create long-term friction. Strong partnerships aren’t built on volume. They’re built on clarity, accountability, and shared standards. Let’s raise the bar — together. https://lnkd.in/emqY82j8 Dream it. Live it.

Kroger Just Unlocked the TV and Audio Ad Market for small and medium sized brands. Generally, CPG giants with dedicated in-house programmatic teams have been able to take advantage of first-party data supported Connected TV (CTV) and streaming audio. However, without significant resources, smaller and mid-sized brand were stuck on the outside looking in. Until Now. Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) just unlocked the door for challenger brands of all sizes. They recognized the critical gap : Brands want to leverage streaming media but lack the expertise and / or resources for complex programmatic buying. Kroger’s solution? They’ll do the heavy lifting for you. KPM’s in-house experts will activate and manage your campaigns across premium platforms like Roku, Paramount+, Pandora, and iHeartRadio. The Secret Weapon: Selling Outcomes, Not Impressions. KPM isn't just selling ad slots; they're providing the data-powered precision that's impossible to replicate independently. -Precision Targeting: Using Kroger’s first-party loyalty card data for unrivaled accuracy. -Guaranteed Measurement: Every campaign provides closed-loop measurement, including ROAS, sales lift, and the direct impact on dollar and unit sales. -The Proof: A campaign using this data achieved a 5.5% increase in sales by targeting lapsed Neutrogena buyers on Roku. This is a strategic play that democratizes access to high-value media channels. If you've viewed CTV and streaming audio as out of reach, the door is now open. ➡️ See the full strategic analysis on how KPM is weaponizing its data for the masses and creating a lifeline for challenger brands (Link below and in the first comment!)

Account-based Marketing list always looks great on paper… until half the names bounce. Some GTM teams build an ABM list once every week… and assume it stays valid forever. But the truth? Your accounts are changing faster than your data. New execs join. Budgets shift. Teams expand or churn. And your pipeline ends up chasing ghosts. Here’s the pattern we see: Static ABM = lag. Your CRM shows the world as it looked last quarter. Dynamic ABM = advantage. Your strategy updates in real time, as markets and teams evolve. That’s exactly what Persana’s Account Orchestration delivers: ⚡ Continuous tracking of org changes, funding, and team growth ⚡ Live detection of tech swaps and company expansions ⚡ Signals that flow directly into your campaigns and sequences No manual refreshes. No “who’s still here?” moments. Just accounts that evolve as your market moves. With Persana, your ABM can finally act like a living ecosystem.

In this episode, Evan Kaeding, SVP of Global Engineering and Solutions at Supermetrics, breaks down how modern marketing organizations build automated data pipelines to accelerate velocity and eliminate technical debt. The conversation explores how leaders approach digital transformation under market uncertainty, what most enterprise management teams misunderstand about the real adoption rates of AI personalization, and what’s changing in the way regulated brands manage autonomous optimization agents to maximize performance marketing ROI without losing consumer trust. Key Insights - The Infrastructure Adoption Deficit: While the market heavily hypes automated scaling, operational data shows that only 36% of mid-market and enterprise brands are actually investing in AI-powered personalization. - The Technical Debt Bypass: Elite brands and agencies move from strategic concepts to live deliverables instantly by building on top of public, fully documented APIs rather than engineering data foundations from scratch. - Human-in-the-Loop Governance: Granting complete autonomy to AI campaign decisioning agents poses a critical brand safety risk; continuous human QA loops are mandatory to prevent hyper-targeting from becoming invasive and eroding customer trust. Topics Discussed - Automating enterprise data infrastructure for global brand agencies. - Overcoming the 36% personalization gap through unified first-party data activation. - Balancing creative strategy and brand perception with media technology tracking. - Capitalizing on live sports and appointment viewing via contextually relevant ads. - Risk mitigation frameworks and human oversight for autonomous AI agents. Podcast Chapters & Timestamps 00:05 - Introduction: Scalable Ad Infrastructure & Operations in Helsinki 01:11 - Engineering Velocity: Accelerating from Concept to Deliverable 02:00 - Public APIs and Client Innovation with Autonomous Coding Tools 02:40 - Overcoming the 36% Enterprise Personalization Gap 04:30 - Cannes vs. Possible: Moving Beyond Data Obsession to Creative Strategy 05:59 - Monetizing Live Media, Niche Sports, and Dynamic Contextual Ads 08:45 - The Creepy Factor: Human-in-the-Loop Governance for AI Agents 11:03 - Conclusion and Professional Contact Resources Frequently Asked Questions - Why do generative AI tools require a "human-in-the-loop" framework in marketing operations? Autonomous AI models or optimization agents prioritizing algorithmic efficiency do not inherently understand relationship boundaries or corporate compliance. Left unmonitored, agents can execute hyper-targeted campaigns that feel invasive to the consumer. A human-in-the-loop applies real-world context and quality assurance to ensure automated execution safely preserves consumer trust. - What is an identity backbone and how does it impact automated marketing workflows?
