Courtney Horwitz shared thisSecond day playing Patches, first day in 1st 🥇 for any LinkedIn game. If you are a zipper like me, you must patch. I’m hooked. Congrats LI Games team! 👏🎉 Lakshman Somasundaram , Helen Smith , Dong Joon "DJ" Kim , Rushabh S. Zip, a puzzle by LinkedIn - it’s been fun but I think Patches is top of my leaderboard now.

Courtney Horwitz shared thisThis International Women’s Day I’m shouting out my OG co-founders of Headybands (Lindsay & Alicia). A must-have accessory for many occasions… but mostly music festivals. Our “about us” said the brand was inspired by Tiger Lily, Cleopatra, and spontaneous dance parties around the world — headybands are meant to make you feel like a moonchild rock star. We launched the business at Coachella 2011 and it ended up funding multiple festival trips selling headbands everywhere we went. Out of our backpacks and via Facebook. An artist friend, Sarah, designed our business cards → we printed them at work → showed up to concerts + festivals acting like we were an established company → sold out. Headybands isn’t active anymore, but it had a moment. Somehow we got featured in Vogue (Paris) and LA Weekly, which felt completely absurd for something that started with only a few trips to the craft store. Proof that when you have the BEST friends, great co-founders, and a little irrational confidence, you can build just about anything. Happy #IWD26 to the women who start things, figure it out as they go, and make a little magic along the way ✨ BIG shout (and digital flowers thanks to our partnership with Canva) to two of the coolest women who inspire me every day: 🌸 Lindsay who owns and runs summer camp (https://hampyowl.com/) while consulting for Ray Dalio 🌸 Alicia who recently launched her own music consulting biz and is President of Live at The Circuit Group

Maybe I’ll do it. Here’s my day 1 with these shades 😎. Highly recommend 9/10. Fit great. So fun to use. Love the built in speakers. Wish I had the option to zoom in for photos and videos. Cant wait to use 😎 for my work commute today.

Courtney Horwitz shared thisCurling is the breakout sport in my household this Olympics. My favorite quote from a curling commentator so far “history is written in stone, but this stone could write history”…the drama, the upsets, the cheating scandals - this sport needs a “best in show” style movie or some documentaries… And thank you Riley Martin for the consistent next level sports breakdowns…so clutch, especially during the OlympicsCourtney Horwitz shared thisAs we hit the second half of the Olympic Games in Milano Cortina, let’s talk about how curling actually works 🥌 Each team has four players sliding stones down a 45-meter sheet of ice toward the house, with sweepers helping control distance and curl along the way. Teams throw eight stones per end, and there are 10 ends in a game. Scoring is simple. After all 16 stones are thrown, you count how many of your stones are closer to the center than your opponent’s closest one. If two red stones sit closer than the nearest yellow, red gets 2 points. Only one team can score in an end. The strategy comes from the shots. A draw places a stone in scoring position. A guard blocks access. A takeout removes an opponent’s stone. Then there are higher-skill plays like freezes, doubles, and raises. The sheet starts to look less like cornhole on ice and more like a chessboard. So far in these Games, over half of all ends have finished with a single point. Around a quarter end with two. Just 8 percent produce three or more and 12% end in a blank where no one scores. The hammer 🔨 is the final stone of the end. The team that throws last has the advantage, and statistically a better chance at scoring multiple points. After each end, the hammer goes to the team that did not score. If no one scores, it stays with the same team. In the example match of Canada vs Sweden, Sweden opened with the hammer and scored 1, so it flipped to Canada. The second end was blank, so Canada kept it. They converted that into 2 in the third, and from there the hammer kept moving based on who scored. In that game, both teams only scored when they had the hammer, and Canada ultimately won. There are layers of strategy on top of this that we can't get to, but that’s the foundation. Follow SportsBall for more sports data visualizations 📊

Courtney Horwitz liked thisCourtney Horwitz liked thisAs we close the page on Women's History Month I want to remind us all that EVERY MONTH is a month that women are building businesses, driving economic growth and making history. I had the joy of meeting Akilah Darden, MBA LEED AP🌟 last week. She reached out to me cold on LinkedIn and I said heck yes, let's talk. This woman is a juggernaut. She is the President of The Darden Group, in construction, and she has used LinkedIn to build her business and network. She is also a mom and has written a children's book "My Mom is a Construction Manager." Her success is huge and wide-ranging. I learned so much in my chat with her. Check out her stats!! Women like this are the bedrock of communities and we must celebrate her and them! From Akilah: :In my first year, a global company discovered me on LinkedIn and engaged me to support the delivery of their $16 million manufacturing facility with a clear goal: build with and for the community. Together, we delivered the project using 100% diverse contractors: 97% minority-owned businesses and 3% women-owned businesses. We also created real workforce pathways by hiring 79 individuals new to construction and 46 diverse professionals from the county where the project was built. That success led to the next opportunity: building a grocery store in the parking lot of the same manufacturing campus, where 88% of the contractors were diverse firms. The momentum continued and ultimately opened the door to working with the largest company in Indiana, which brought me in to support the procurement strategy for a $4 billion capital project. Over three years, we led a strategy centered on building with and for the community, resulting in more than $700 million in commitments to diverse firms, $500 million in diverse spend in less than three years, and opportunities for over 178 diverse businesses. On the workforce side, nearly 30% of the jobsite workforce (over 2,500 people) are people of color, with 8% women in the trades, exceeding national industry averages." ROCK ON!!

Courtney Horwitz reacted on thisCourtney Horwitz reacted on thisThree weeks out from Canva Create and I genuinely cannot sit still (or sleep, but who's counting) 🚀 I've been in this space long enough to know the difference between a show that's ready and a show that's genuinely alive. What's being built right now in Los Angeles is the latter. Full stop. SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park is coming to colorful life. The moments are being choreographed (naturally). The surprises, and there are several, are being locked in. World-class speakers, activations you won't see coming, hands-on learning through Design School, and first access to some of our newest launches. It's all happening. And behind all of it? A team that has been going at this with everything they have. Late nights, early calls, relentless problem-solving. Watching them work has been one of the privileges of this entire process. This is our biggest Canva Create ever. I don't say that as a marketing line, I say it because I'm standing inside it and I can feel it. If you've been on the fence, get off it. Last few tickets available here: https://lnkd.in/gDjtmVVx 🎟️ LA, three weeks. See you there. 🔥 #canvacreate

Courtney Horwitz reacted on thisCourtney Horwitz reacted on thisVirgil Abloh said: 'Everything I do is for the 17 year old version of me.' I think about that a lot and the lack of power and control I had over my life as a girl and young woman. The projects that have meant the most to me: Netflix 99ers, Reine Collective, Nike LA, Nike Women, Perrigo Company plc , 2aDays — they all share one thing. They're for the girls. The next generation. The ones who need to see themselves in a story before they believe it's possible for them. That's why I became a teacher. That's why I became a coach. That's why I built Play Street. Not for the industry. Not for the accolades. For her. The girl who doesn't yet know what she's capable of and the power she has to impact the world around her. The things that break your heart are the kindling for the fire you build. Everything I build is for her. #nextgeneration #womenssports #girls #genz #impact #purpose

If you couldn't make it to Las Vegas for #CES2026, ADWEEK just published the highlights from my conversation with Jenny Rooney. 👉 https://bit.ly/3NmAiai In the piece, we preview the AI Disruption Index, Moloco’s new research with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which maps 15 industries into four strategic realities. When 75% of consumers believe LLMs help them find better deals than they can find on their own, AI isn’t just optimizing discovery. It’s replacing it entirely. With the AI Disruption Index, we wanted to give brands a clear, data driven way to understand their exposure to AI driven disruption, based on the strength of their customer relationships. Check out the article for the initial breakdown, but stay tuned for the deep dive when the full report releases on January 21st. #AIDisruptionIndex #MarketingStrategy
