Craig Koffler shared thisWe have all heard the same safety message before every flight: "If the oxygen masks drop, put yours on first before helping anyone else." It is simple advice, but it applies just as much to life and leadership as it does to flying. No matter how busy we get, whether it's work or our personal lives, many of us forget to take care of ourselves first. I'm just as guilty of it. We spend our days helping customers, supporting our teams, providing for our families, solving problems, and putting out fires. Before long, we're running on empty. The reality is this: you can't lead at your best, support the people you care about, or make good decisions if you're mentally, physically, or emotionally exhausted. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. It's a responsibility. That might mean getting enough sleep, exercising, spending time with your family, taking a vacation, getting regular checkups, or simply taking a break when you need one. The stronger you are, the more you have to give to everyone around you. So here's a reminder, mostly for myself, Put your oxygen mask on first! The people counting on you will be better off because you did. #Leadership #SelfCare #LeadershipDevelopment #MentalHealth #PersonalGrowth #WorkLifeBalance #TeamLeadership #Resilience #SuccessMindset #LeadByExample #Success #HighPerformance

Craig Koffler shared thisCongratulations to Norah Gonzales on representing Team USA at the 2026 BMX World Championships in Australia this week! While much of the world has been focused on the World Cup, Team Freemen has been proudly cheering on one of our own as she competes on the world stage wearing the red, white, and blue. We couldn't be prouder to support an athlete whose hard work, dedication, and determination have earned the opportunity to represent the United States against the best in the world. Good luck, Norah! Craig Koffler posted thisNo matter how successful you become in your career, I believe everyone needs at least one good mentor. Someone who will challenge your thinking. Someone who will tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. Someone who has already made some of the mistakes you are about to make and can help you see around corners you may not even know are there. The further you move up in leadership, the easier it can be to believe you should have all the answers. The reality is, that is probably when having a mentor becomes even more important. Experience does not mean you stop learning. Success does not mean you stop growing. And being a leader does not mean you no longer need someone in your corner pushing you to become better. Some of the most valuable conversations in my career have come from people willing to challenge me, give me a different perspective, and occasionally tell me I was flat-out wrong. A good mentor will not make every decision for you or tell you exactly which path to take. They will ask the right questions, share what they have learned, and help you see situations from a perspective you may have missed. If you have a great mentor, value that relationship. If you do not have one, find one. And if you have reached a point in your career where you can be that person for someone else, make the time. No matter how far we go in our careers, none of us gets there completely on our own. #Leadership #Mentorship #CareerGrowth #LeadershipDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth

Craig Koffler reposted thisCraig Koffler reposted thisColor stands out. And it's usually one of the first things people notice about a product but today, they're paying just as much attention to where that color comes from. As clean label expectations continue to rise and the industry evolves, manufacturers are rethinking how they formulate products without sacrificing visual appeal. Finding the right balance between vibrant color, stability and performance has become more important than ever. The future of color is changing and it's opening the door to new possibilities for food and beverage innovation. We're excited to share what we've been working on at IFT FIRST next week. Stay tuned. 🌈 #IFTFIRST #FoodInnovation #CleanLabel #NaturalIngredients #FoodAndBeverage #IngredientSolutions

Craig Koffler shared thisVitamin C is everywhere. Truly differentiated Vitamin C is not. As the supplement market becomes more crowded, simply adding Vitamin C to a formula is no longer enough. The opportunity is in creating products that deliver more value, better performance, and a real reason for consumers to choose one brand over another. That is where liposomal Vitamin C gets interesting. By using advanced delivery technology, liposomal Vitamin C offers brands an opportunity to move beyond another commodity Vitamin C product and create something with a stronger story around absorption, bioavailability, and performance. For brands and manufacturers focused on immunity, healthy aging, beauty from within, sports nutrition, and everyday wellness, the question is no longer just: “How much Vitamin C is in the formula?” The better question may be: “How much of it is actually being absorbed and utilized?” In a market where everyone is looking for the next new ingredient, sometimes the bigger opportunity is taking an ingredient consumers already know and finding a better way to deliver it. That is where innovation meets opportunity. #VitaminC #LiposomalVitaminC #Bioavailability #Nutraceuticals #SupplementIndustry #ProductInnovation #HealthyAging #ImmuneHealth #IngredientInnovation #FreemenNutra

Craig Koffler shared thisThe fiber market may be getting ready for a major shift, and it is being driven by an ingredient that is not new at all. For years, inulin has been one of the dominant dietary fibers in the global market. It is well established, widely used, and supported by strong consumer recognition. But resistant dextrin is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Resistant dextrin has been around for decades. What is changing is the manufacturing landscape. More manufacturers in China are entering the market and expanding production capacity. That matters because resistant dextrin is starch-based, making its supply chain fundamentally different from fibers such as inulin that are more dependent on agricultural production, harvest conditions, and crop availability. As capacity increases, the economics could become very interesting. More supply. Greater scalability. Increased competition. And potentially continued downward pressure on pricing. But price is only part of the story. From a formulation standpoint, resistant dextrin offers several advantages. It has low sweetness and a relatively neutral taste, making it easier to incorporate into many formulations without significantly changing the flavor profile. It also offers good solubility and strong heat and acid stability, opening the door to applications across beverages, powders, gummies, bars, functional foods, and more. Inulin is not going away. It has well-established applications and benefits that will continue to make it an important part of the fiber market. But manufacturers today are looking beyond the ingredient name on the label. ~They are looking at cost. ~Supply security. ~Scalability. ~Formulation flexibility. ~And the ability to support the growing demand for fiber-fortified products. That is why I believe resistant dextrin could be one of the most important ingredients to watch over the next several years. Sometimes the biggest market opportunities do not come from discovering something new. They come from the market finally being ready for something that has been there all along. #DietaryFiber #ResistantDextrin #Inulin #FoodIngredients #FunctionalFoods #Nutraceuticals #ProductDevelopment #IngredientTrends

Craig Koffler liked thisCraig Koffler liked thisOne thing I would tell anyone early in their career is to keep learning beyond their current job. It is easy to become very good at one function and stay there, but the more you understand about how the wider business works, the better prepared you are for whatever comes next. For me, that meant making an effort to understand areas like finance, marketing and sales, even when they were not the main focus of my role. Over time, that broader view became just as valuable as the experience I gained in my own area. You never know exactly what the next opportunity will look like, but you can make sure you are ready for it when it comes.

Siena Development: Food & Beverage Innovation

🚀 Creatine is moving from powders to RTD beverages — and it’s becoming one of the hottest functional trends. But adding creatine to an RTD isn’t simple. Brands often run into: ⚠️ Stability issues (creatinine formation) ⚠️ Bitterness + chalkiness ⚠️ Solubility + pH challenges ⚠️ Manufacturers who can’t support it This is where Siena Development: Food & Beverage Innovation helps. ✨ Siena makes creatine RTDs easier to build by: Guiding you on the right creatine format Flagging formulation + stability risks early Matching you with manufacturers experienced in functional RTDs Reducing expensive trial-and-error Creatine beverages are booming — and the brands that get it right early will win. If you’re exploring creatine for your next RTD, happy to help you think it through. #RTD #BeverageInnovation #Creatine #FunctionalBeverages #CPG #ProductDevelopment #FoodScience #Siena #BetterForYou #SupplementIndustry

Big shifts are happening in the food industry. 🥩 Tyson Foods—the largest meat processor in the U.S.—is closing two more beef plants (in Illinois and Utah) and looking to sell another facility in Washington as it consolidates its operations. Why is this happening? Even though consumer demand for beef remains strong, the U.S. cattle herd is currently at its lowest level since 1951 due to prolonged droughts and high farming costs. With fewer cattle available to process, meatpackers are facing record-high supply costs and adjusting their facilities accordingly. Tyson plans to focus its beef business around three main modernized plants in Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas as the market works through the shortage. Have you noticed higher beef prices at your local grocery store lately? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 #FoodNews #TysonFoods #BeefIndustry #GroceryTrends #Economy #BusinessUpdate #ConsumerNews

Tattersall Distilling is entering the THC beverage market with a functional line as craft spirits growth cools. 🌿 The Wisconsin-based distiller unveiled Tattersall Functional Beverages—two low-dose blends, Uplift (citrus) and Unwind (berry), combining cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG), adaptogens, and electrolytes. 🥤 Formatted in 750ml bottles ($60) and 2 oz minis ($7), the mixes are intended for zero-proof cocktails with 2 mg THC per tablespoon. The move comes amid federal uncertainty around hemp-derived products and as peers like Central Standard and Hanson of Sonoma test the category; “adult, festive and functional” demand is the target, the company said. ⚗️ Online shipping to legal states begins now, with select retail rolling out this month and broader distribution slated for early 2026. https://lnkd.in/gwQU-eQc #THCDrinks #FunctionalBeverages #CraftDistilling #HempDerivedTHC #LowDose #NonAlcoholic #BeverageIndustry #MidwestBrands
