Dan Baird posted thisThe Mack truck isn't coming. It's already in the lane. Anthropic just published research on AI and labor markets. The headline everyone will grab: no unemployment spike yet. What they'll miss: 94% of Computer & Math tasks are theoretically AI-feasible. Observed usage is ~33%. That gap isn't good news. That's latent disruption waiting for the trigger. The trigger is context — not capability. Yann LeCunn's critiques of GPT architecture limitations are real. But they don't matter as much anymore. When you feed a model your proprietary CRM data, your support history, your pipeline signals — it doesn't need to get smarter. It already knows what you know. MCPs are doing to AI competition what open source did to software. They're not a feature upgrade. They're a new dimension of the game. And until recently, 65–85% of AI project budgets were eaten by data engineering just to make models usable. That wall is falling. Here's the thing nobody's saying loudly enough: this isn't just a threat. It's the biggest productivity unlock most of us will ever see. Once you automate the drudgery and I mean actually automate it, not prompt it once and hope you stop thinking about saving time and start thinking about building decision pipelines. Self-healing feedback loops. Real capacity. The February jobs report just came in 150,000 jobs off from estimates. The silence has started. But the doors open after the grief. I've been losing sleep over this not from fear, but from what becomes possible on the other side. Hit me up, this stuff is genuinely fascinating.

Allen Martinez Agreed. It's becomes a different game when your output becomes output that perpetuate additional output. lol.
I'm finding in our own work that your mind shift changes and the paradigm becomes not check-ins but analyzing evolution of the change.
Can't do that without good governance and clear lines of information exchange. It was an eye-opening experience Allen. I appreciated it!

Monica, the "cheating" feeling when AI makes something effortless, that's the adoption blocker nobody puts in their implementation plan. And it's sitting in every organization right now.
Behavior and belief before workflows. That's the right order and almost nobody is doing it that way.
Glad we got to dig into this one. Thanks for bringing the real stuff.

I recently joined Dan Baird on the Burn The Map podcast to discuss what’s really happening inside organizations as AI rolls out. The tools are powerful. ⚒️ The investment is massive. 💰 And yet… ROI is underwhelming. 🤔 Why? Because most companies are layering AI onto flawed workflows and hoping for magic. In our conversation, we dug into a bold shift I believe leaders need to make: Pre-AI, effort equaled success. Post-AI, impact equals success. That mindset shift is harder than any technical integration. I shared a story from a room of nearly 1,000 Latinos in tech. I asked how many felt like they were “cheating” when using AI. Three-quarters raised their hands. Why? Because many of us were raised to believe we had to work twice as hard to get half as far. When AI makes something feel effortless, it can trigger doubt about our worth. That belief will quietly sabotage adoption inside your organization if you don’t address it. This is why at FlipWork we focus first on behavior and belief before building custom agents or redesigning workflows. If people don’t help create the future of work, they won’t adopt it. And here’s the part leaders need to hear: 👉🏽 Middle management, as we know it, is shrinking. 👉🏽 The future belongs to agentic-humans. 👉🏽 People who orchestrate agents instead of operating tools. Your job is no longer to do more. It’s to become people squared. If your teams are “using AI” but mostly for email drafts and meeting notes, you’re still only scratching the surface.
