Dave Gilboa shared thisGlasses are the most personal technology we use: they help us see the world more clearly and are the very first thing people notice about us. Today, we’re taking a massive leap forward in what glasses can do. Alongside our partners at Google and Samsung Mobile, we are officially unveiling our first Intelligent Eyewear frame. As we entered this new category, our challenge was clear: how do we integrate advanced technology that enhances our understanding of the world, without compromising what makes glasses great? For us, that meant combining beautiful design with uncompromising standards on the fundamentals: precision optics, exceptional comfort, and a fit designed for all-day, everyday wear. This debut frame is the result of thousands of hours of engineering and design. We’ve managed to house incredible capabilities within a silhouette that feels like a classic pair of Warby Parker frames. We’re just getting started on shaping the future of this category. We'll be launching our first line of Intelligent Eyewear this fall, and I couldn’t be more proud of #TeamWarby for continuing to lead the way in redefining the eyewear industry and expanding upon our mission of vision for all. Dave Gilboa shared thisWe’ve come a long way since we launched Warby Parker in 2010. This week we listed WRBY on the NYSE. Incredibly proud of #teamwarby and the impact we’ve had to date, enabled by our millions of happy customers and dedicated partners. Feeling immensely grateful to everyone who has played a part in the Warby Parker story. And we couldn’t be more excited for the future—both to scale our business and scale our impact. As the first public benefit corporation to go public via a direct listing, we hope to give the company a louder megaphone that businesses can do well and do good. To further these efforts, we’re also thrilled to announce the launch of the Warby Parker Impact Foundation, a public charity dedicated to helping people see—enabling them to thrive in the classroom, workforce, and beyond. Nice to see you, WRBY.

Robin Hood is the nation’s most sophisticated organization fighting poverty. In 2025, we invested $140M across 295 organizations to serve almost 3M vulnerable New Yorkers. Last night, we hosted our annual #robinhoodbenefit and raised over $73M. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to help build and evolve Wellington’s equity platform and, over the past decade, to work alongside so many talented colleagues to establish and expand our private investments business. When we launched our first dedicated late-stage growth in 2014, we saw an opportunity to bring the full picture of Wellington’s investment ecosystem to companies choosing to stay private longer. I’m proud of how far the platform has come and even more proud of the exceptional team that will carry it forward. We’ve built a deep, thoughtful, and ambitious team, and the time is right to pass the baton. I have every confidence in Shanna O'Reilly and the broader private markets group as they continue to grow the business and serve our clients globally. Wellington has been a special place to build a career, defined by intellectual curiosity, rigorous debate, long-term thinking, and a willingness to evolve when the facts change. I’m deeply grateful to the colleagues, clients, founders, and partners who have been part of this journey. I look forward to staying involved as an adviser to our late-stage growth strategy and watch the next chapter unfold for a team and firm I care about deeply. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the ride.

Dave Gilboa reacted on thisDave Gilboa reacted on thisTwo years ago, I handed over the CEO job at Allbirds, and began to build a new company. What I learned surprised me, and it changed how I’ll lead forever. Today, I’m thrilled to unveil Biologica, the company my wife, Liz, and I have been building. Our mission is simple: to help millions of women feel their best. But the journey to get here was anything but simple. Without any lived experience in women's hormonal health, I had no intuition to go on, and my only choice was to listen. We first conducted hours of focus groups across the country. Those insights informed an extensive health study we conducted with 1,000 women. And, those findings were central to the months-long conversations with OBGYNs and other women’s health specialists on our Medical Advisory Board. And, of course, I talked with Liz about it everyday. Here is what I learned: --Women's biology is magical and very different from mine – it does NOT need ‘balancing’; --Her hormonal stage (reproductive, perimenopause, etc.) drives her top health concerns and nutritional needs, rendering the supplement industry’s ‘one size fits all’ approach ineffective; --Each stage requires distinct nutritional support and symptomatic relief that can be delivered through very simple, but thoughtful, stage-specific supplementation. All our research, findings from the 1,000-woman study, and much more are on our website. And the business lesson? I should have taken my subjective intuition out of management decisions at Allbirds long ago. And, every leader should do the same regardless of their product. By being deeply curious, and listening to our future customers of Biologica, I made better decisions every day. I kept myself out of it. I listened to what women told us, and strictly adhered to relevant and credible medical research. No shortcuts. I’m incredibly proud of what Liz and I, along with the small, but very mighty team at Biologica have launched today. We’re confident that Biologica will help you feel your best, because you’ve already told us how you’re feeling without us! Please give it a try. One lightly fizzy (delicious!) drink daily to feel your best, and move on with your day. www.biologica.com #Entrepreneurship #WomensHealth #Startup #Leadership

Dutch Rojas and I built PhyCap Fund around this exact principle. As co-founders, we saw the same pattern from different angles: physicians create enormous healthcare value but capture almost none of the upside when innovations scale. Meanwhile, investors without clinical context fund solutions that look good in pitch decks but fail in deployment. 👉 We've reviewed 155+ deals together. The pattern is clear—companies that gain traction are built by founders who understand healthcare operations from the inside. Yet physician capital remains dramatically underrepresented in cap tables. "Clinical insight isn't advisory. It's foundational." This is why PhyCap Fund exists. My decades in the OR and boardroom, combined with Dutch's investment expertise, create the operator-investor bridge healthcare needs. We're not guessing at pain points. We've lived them. 🏥 If you're a physician who's ever thought "someone should build this" or "this existing solution misses the point"—that clinical instinct is exactly what Dutch is writing about. Worth the read 👇

At Provest Equity Partners, we focus on building enduring platforms at the intersection of industrial scale, advanced technology, and responsible innovation. Our work with Advanced Process Solutions (APS) reinforced a core belief: value is created when operational rigor meets mission-critical manufacturing. That same philosophy continues to guide our portfolio construction as we expand into businesses enabling more efficient, lower-impact production models across industrial and energy-adjacent markets. We are now preparing to onboard our next platform investment—one that reflects where long-term capital is increasingly converging: materials, manufacturing, and energy-enabled technologies that deliver both commercial durability and structural relevance for the future economy. As operator-investors, we commit capital patiently and partner deeply with management teams to scale responsibly, allocate capital prudently, and compound value over time. We’re excited about the road ahead and appreciative of the continued trust from our LPs and partners. More to come. #ProvestEquity #OperatorInvestor #GrowthEquity #IndustrialTechnology #AdvancedManufacturing #SustainableInnovation #EnergyTransition #PlatformInvesting #LongTermCapital #PrivateMarkets

Today, we backed founders building in industries most people overlook because they use them every day. Restaurants. Nightlife. Food delivery. Huge markets, broken systems. One team is helping restaurants grow without giving away margins to marketplaces. Another is rebuilding nightlife distribution through community and events. Another is creating the infrastructure layer for India’s home kitchen economy. All three already have real traction behind them. That’s usually the signal we pay attention to most. If you’re building something ambitious with momentum already happening… 👇 Comment below and we’ll DM you how to apply #Startups #VentureCapital #FoodTech #RestaurantTech #AI #CPG #ConsumerTech #FounderLed

As founders scale, financial leadership needs evolve just as fast as product or team strategy. In this article, Jason Anglin does a great job outlining when a startup needs a fractional Director of Finance vs. a fractional CFO. And why getting that choice right can save both time and capital. Worth a read for founders approaching their next growth stage.

🚀 🧠 Thrilled to announce that Andy Dunn has joined Sway Health as an investor and advisor. Sway Health, led by Vibha Puri, is a portfolio company of ours at Evio. It is the only virtual care platform dedicated exclusively to bipolar disorder. Andy co-founded Bonobos, sold it to Walmart, and went on to back companies like Warby Parker, Oscar Health, and Coinbase. Then he did something arguably harder. He wrote Burn Rate (2022), his memoir about building a company while living with bipolar disorder. It's one of the most honest accounts of mental illness in the startup world. Here what is not obvious. There are ~10 million Americans living with bipolar disorder (~4% of population), yet there is not a single virtual care company built specifically for them. And it takes patients 5–10 years on average to reach stability. A massive underserved population hiding in plain sight. The Sway team (Vibha Puri, Samoon Ahmad, MD, Saki Georgiadis) have developed bipolar specific protocols and offers care from clinicians trained specifically in bipolar. We believe Sway will change how bipolar is treated and drastically increase access to care. Our system fails most people living with bipolar. 10 million Americans, no dedicated virtual care, billions wasted cycling through generalist providers who weren't trained for this condition. The biggest opportunities for impact in healthcare are hiding inside the populations and conditions most overlook.

From the beginning, we believed Lumana was building much more than a smarter surveillance tool. Lumana's platform reflects the next evolution in video intelligence — physical AI. This approach enables systems to go beyond basic detection capabilities to understanding context, infer intent, and deliver real-time insights that improve safety and operations at scale. Further, we decided to take the longer and more difficult direction of building a whole new generation and fully featured Video Management System (VMS). With the company’s $40M Series A, led by our friend Peter Wagner from Wing Venture Capital and our seed partners from SCAPITALVC, we’re doubling down on a platform that’s already proving its value in the real world. We are serving now close to ten thousands enterprise cameras in production! Founders like Sagi Ben Moshe bring a rare mix of vision and execution to the table. From our earliest conversations as an EIR at Norwest, it was clear that Lumana had the potential to reshape how organizations use video. Congratulations to the team on this well-deserved milestone. https://lnkd.in/gwHdaGPZ

I’m thrilled to officially announce our $3M seed investment in Propel People, a company we built inside the 1848 Ventures studio to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing the #construction industry today: the skilled #labor shortage. For small and medium-sized contractors, hiring isn't just a challenge. It's the number one threat to their growth, profitability, and safety. With 94% of contractors struggling to find qualified workers, it’s clear that traditional hiring methods aren't built for the trades. That’s why we built Propel People. It’s a mobile-first, AI-powered hiring platform designed for how construction actually works: in the field. By leveraging smart candidate ranking, instant #SMS-based screening, and a fully #bilingual interface, Propel helps contractors build great crews faster and more efficiently. I’m also thrilled to formally announce that industry veteran Dexter Bachelder is at the helm as CEO. Having worked with Dexter and the team over the last few months, we've already seen the impact of his leadership. His 25 years of experience scaling construction tech companies will be instrumental as Propel People enters this initial stage of growth. This investment reinforces our core thesis at 1848 Ventures: building AI-native companies that solve fundamental pain points for the #SMBs that form the backbone of our economy. A huge congratulations to Dexter and the entire Propel People team on this milestone. We are incredibly proud to partner with you to support the people who build our world. 🚨NEW EPISODE: Recorded live at FUTURE TITANS 2026 - Jeff Perry of Carta sat down with the iconic Seth Levine, co-founder of Foundry. Seth has been in venture for 25 years, built Foundry from scratch as an emerging manager himself, and has backed about 50 emerging manager funds through his fund of funds. He has genuinely seen every side of this table. They went deep on building Foundry, why VCs are in the influence business, not the decision business, and why the concentration problem in venture is not only bad for LPs, but also for the innovation ecosystem overall. And why Seth's new book, Capital Evolution, is so important for the future of America. 🎧 Links to listen... Apple: https://lnkd.in/ehQUQ2EM Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eU4FExpg

One of my agentic commerce predictions for 2026 in this recent Forbes piece: Matt Nichols, General Partner at Commerce Ventures, notes that the mechanics are already in motion. Looking ahead, he predicts that this year, "Agentic commerce transaction volume reaches meaningful levels as consumers advance from research to buying on AI platforms. 2026 will be the year that transactions are completed in these platforms." To this prediction, Nichols adds another: retailers will be forced to build "super-feeds" specifically for AI platforms. “These data feeds may involve monetary transactions that could include payments to AI platforms or payments to the retailer/brand (depending on balance of power). https://lnkd.in/g65RAerA

Matt Holt, former New Mountain Capital executive, is exploring a $30 billion deal to combine five health tech startups into a single platform called Thoreau. The venture would set out to simplify and integrate services across payers, providers and data — and if completed, it would rank among the largest private equity-backed health tech companies ever. Time will tell if this massive consolidation ever gets completed or translates into real value — or if it's just another bet on scale.

Today SuppCo joined Function Health. At the end of 2024, we backed Steve Martocci and Nick Michlewicz at Greylock Partners, based on three views about where consumer health was going: 1. Self-directed health is now mainstream. Only 45% of 18–29 year olds see a primary care physician. People are building their own protocols and need trusted nodes, not influencer affiliate links, to do it. 2. The winners will own proprietary data networks. In a $175B / ~180K SKU industry drowning in marketing claims, SuppCo built TrustScore. This became an independent quality rating on 35K+ products, plus the largest network of real user stacks anywhere. That is a data asset that compounds, especially as users feed efficacy data via wearable/biomarker integrations. 3. The trust layer for AI-mediated commerce is an increasingly valuable layer to own. As discovery and purchase move into chat and agent interfaces, "which product can I actually trust?" is the question agents need someone to answer. SuppCo became that answer for supplements. Function is the right home because it closes the loop. If SuppCo answers what to take, Function answers whether it's actually working, in one continuous feedback cycle. This becomes a powerful data network. Big congrats to Steve, Nick, and the entire SuppCo team. You built something the industry genuinely needed -- on both the consumer and brand side. And to Jonathan Swerdlin and the Function team. Excited to see the impact on the broader category.

Proud to share a big milestone for SuperCircle - congrats to the team on their $24M Series A led by Foundry ventures! Retail’s waste problem has become unavoidable. Returns, excess inventory, and unsellables now cost U.S. retailers $50B+ annually, and regulation is forcing brands to finally account for what happens after products fall out of the supply chain. Their full-stack, AI-powered platform sits inside the mess — factories, warehouses, stores, returns — turning waste from a cost center into a value generator. Today they work with 75+ brands and have already diverted 6M+ textiles from landfill. Congrats to Founders Chloe Marie Songer, Stuart Ahlum and Phong Nguyen and the entire SuperCircle team!!
