Denise Lysak shared thisAnother great one from my colleague, Adam - so true!Denise Lysak shared thisMost salespeople don’t actually have a lead problem. They have a comfort problem. Too many reps live inside the “safe” zone: 🚫 waiting for inbound 🚫 recycling the same pitch 🚫 hiding in the CRM 🚫 avoiding executive outreach 🚫 overthinking instead of acting 🚫 continually reaching out to a small subset of “comfortable clients/prospects” And the dangerous part? You can still look “busy” while staying completely stagnant. The biggest jumps in sales performance usually happen the moment someone: ✔ asks the harder questions ✔ picks up the phone anyway ✔ reviews their own calls honestly ✔ stops fearing objections (The Biggest) ✔ starts controlling the process instead of reacting to it (Proactiveness) In restoration sales specifically, this is the difference between: 💡route stops vs real relationships 💡dropping donuts vs driving strategy 💡waiting for referrals vs creating demand 💡being “a vendor” vs becoming the trusted, strategic partner Growth rarely feels comfortable while it’s happening. But the reps who consistently win larger accounts, gain executive trust, and own their territories, are usually the ones willing to operate in the uncomfortable long enough for it to become normal. They are the multi-million dollar producers. The comfort zone feels safe. The growth zone builds careers. 📸 Graphic concept credit: salesdaily.co

Denise Lysak liked thisI had such a great time doing this and am honored to be the first guest of the podcast. Full episode link is in the comments. Can't wait to see the next episode!Denise Lysak liked this"Everybody thinks they have a sales problem." That's how Mark Shippe kicks off the very first podcast episode of here2elevate, and honestly, it's the sentence we've heard in more discovery calls than we can count (usually right before we find out it isn't a sales problem at all). Mark, our fellow builder and friend, has spent years in the room with CEOs, business owners, and the people leading their teams. His point is simple and a little uncomfortable. What shows up as a sales issue is often something deeper, an operational gap or a leadership dynamic nobody has wanted to name yet. The work is looking past the surface and getting curious about where the real friction lives. From there he gets into accountability and trust, and why they have to travel together. Accountability without trust turns into micromanagement. Trust without accountability turns into hope (a lovely feeling, a terrible operating system). He's honest about what it takes to stop being the bottleneck, too. It isn't working longer hours. It's building a team and a structure that can carry decisions without you hovering over every one. And then there's meeting people where they are. That starts with listening, really listening, and Mark ties it straight to the place where sales and operations meet. When those two sides of the business hear each other, the promises made to customers become promises the team can actually keep. We couldn't have asked for a better first guest. Link in the comments. Vision guides. People build. Execution wins. #leadership #accountability #operations #sales #founderled #here2elevate

Denise Lysak liked thisDenise Lysak liked thisWhy am I holding a bottle of Quikrete, you ask? I'll tell you. It's because I just did a little preventive maintenance around my driveway. Last winter I noticed my driveway rising up the colder it got. I've been in the restoration business long enough to know that water going somewhere it shouldn't can cause big problems. Your business works the same way. The cracks are already there in September, but they haven't frozen yet. One PM every job runs through, which is great until your volume doubles. A salesperson holding every key relationship, until they quit. The plan for additional service offerings that currently lives in your head, but you haven't told the team. Q4 starts on Thursday. For most of us, the busiest stretch of the year is coming up which makes it the worst possible time to find out where the gaps are. What's the one crack you would seal in your operation if you had the time? And you have to admit that this is the perfect play on words with this picture.

This year’s agenda includes: • Financial planning for restoration businesses • Lessons from a third-generation restorer • Commercial Large Loss — From the First Call to Conclusion • Building a stronger inspection and documentation process • Strategies for getting paid and improving collections • Navigating changes happening across the restoration industry And, of course, plenty of time to network — including dinner and a Murder Mystery Thursday evening! 📍 Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark 📅 October 8–9, 2026 I’m especially looking forward to moderating the Commercial Large Loss panel on Thursday afternoon. We have a great group lined up to talk through what really happens on a large commercial loss — from the first call through completion. Denise Lysak reacted on thisDenise Lysak reacted on thisOver the last month, I’ve seen three very large restoration companies close their doors unexpectedly. Every time this happens, my first thought is about the people behind those companies. Employees who went to work expecting business as usual and suddenly find themselves updating a resume, reaching out to their network, and trying to figure out what comes next. If you’ve been impacted by one of these closures, I want you to know that I’m happy to be a resource. I recruit exclusively within the restoration industry and work with companies across the country. Restoration is also a pretty small world, especially on the recruiting side, and many of us stay well connected. So even if I don’t have the right opportunity for you personally, I may know someone who does or be able to point you in the right direction. And if it’s been a while since you’ve had to look for a job, I’m happy to help there too. Whether it’s taking a look at your resume, talking through how to position your experience, helping you prepare for interviews, or just giving you some perspective on what I’m seeing in the market, please feel free to reach out. No strings attached. Times like these are a good reminder of how important it is to look out for each other in this industry. If you’ve suddenly found yourself looking for your next opportunity, my inbox is open. Even if I’m not the person who ultimately helps you find your next role, I’m happy to help however I can. tiffany@precisionrecruitingus.com
