Graham Goeppert reposted thisGraham Goeppert reposted this🏆 Recess continues to be the #1 fastest-selling single-serve sparkling water brand in the U.S. What makes that even more exciting is the bigger shift happening across beverages. With growth in traditional sparkling water slowing, consumers are increasingly looking for more from what they drink — and "mood support" is now the fastest-growing functional benefit in beverages. We believe relaxation is becoming one of the next major beverage categories, and we’re building Recess to lead it. Our mission has always been simple: bring a little more calm and balance to people around the world. One can, one cooler and one moment of Recess at a time. Graham Goeppert shared thisHow cool is this?! ‘Tinis now join the lineup!Graham Goeppert shared thisThe martini, reimagined. 🍸 Introducing the newest additions to Recess Zero Proof: Apple ’Tini & Espresso ’Tini. We created Recess Zero Proof to give people a better option for the moments when they want the ritual, flavor and social experience of a great cocktail, without the alcohol or the hangover. Now we’re bringing that idea to two of the most iconic martini flavors: 🍏 Apple ’Tini: crisp, candy-bright apple with real fruit juice for a bold, lightly bubbly take on the classic. ☕ Espresso ’Tini: complex coffee roast with a smooth, velvety vanilla finish and 10mg of clean caffeine. Two classic cocktails, reimagined for the way people are drinking today. Your favorite martini. Without the hangover.🍸 Find Recess near you >> https://lnkd.in/g8T2dXGa

Graham Goeppert shared thisBe deliberate & Take A Recess! With that said, I'm excited to share that I'm starting a new role at Recess! Watch out 👀 for this tasty drink that brings a new kind of function 🫧 to help people unwind & chill with feel-good adaptogens & magnesium. Our founder Benjamin Witte has been super tapped into this consumer trend for many years. Our leaders in Kyle Thomas, Zech Francis, Simon Goode and many others are helping to make "Take A Recess" an anytime occasion thru products like Recess Mood (Tropical Bliss - my fave) and the many Recess Zero Proof mocktails (all sooo good). Be it for relaxation, moderation, with lunch, socializing w/ friends, or to simply unwind from work & all the busyness out there... Take A Recess! As I open this new chapter, I certainly reflect on all past & present poppi peeps & partners... thank you!! Many things about our good times will stick forever, but what stands out to me consistently was the creativity and craftsmanship that you bought. What a pleasure working alongside a group that really cared and did it together. Here's to your continued greatness 🥂

Graham Goeppert reposted thisHonored to share poppi has been recognized by the Austin Business Journal as the fastest growing company of Central Texas. This milestone reflects the dedication of our team, the belief of our partners, and the loyalty of our consumers who have turned what Allison Ellsworth and Stephen Ellsworth created into a national movement that established the modern soda category. Thank you to Sahar Chmais and the Austin Business Journal team for capturing our story - from the early days of building something different to where we’re headed next. The journey continues with PepsiCo , and our confidence in what’s ahead has never been stronger. #Poppi #ModernSoda #AustinBusinessJournal #FastestGrowingCompany #BetterTogetherGraham Goeppert reposted thisAn interview with Chris Hall, CEO of poppi, gives insight on the company’s 915% growth over the past three years and what’s ahead for the company that’s now part of PepsiCo. https://lnkd.in/gjW9JPtuPoppi is a trailblazer in beverages, growing revenue 915% in three years - Austin Business JournalPoppi is a trailblazer in beverages, growing revenue 915% in three years - Austin Business Journal

Graham Goeppert shared thisMonumental times generated by so many! This next chapter will be exciting 🚀Graham Goeppert shared thispoppi started in co-founder Allison Ellsworth’s kitchen out of personal desire for a better-for-you soda. From a local farmers market in Dallas to discovery on Shark Tank by Rohan Oza to funding by CAVU Consumer Partners to retailers everywhere – poppi’s mission is to redefine how consumers think about soda. In just five years, poppi sparked a movement, created a leading brand, and grew a loyal community (that’s you!). Today, we announce an exciting opportunity with PepsiCo, an incredible company with iconic brands. They are committed to honoring what makes poppi so special while supporting our next phase of growth & innovation. With PepsiCo, we’ll further our reach, our mission and our availability. We’re so grateful for PepsiCo and can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings! 🚀🫧🥤 The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval.

Graham Goeppert liked thisOrganic sales and Incremental have been top of mind for me this year as we try to understand our baseline business health and how retail media is impacting the business. If you’re an ads geek like me or want to better understand retail media in general, this one’s for you!Graham Goeppert liked thisTwo hoses. One swimming pool. The big hose is organic. The small hose is retail media. If the big hose slows down and the pool level drops, that is not a retail media problem. But retail media is almost always the one that gets blamed. David Khoshpasand of Hasbro explained this better than we ever have on this week's episode. If you have ever had to defend your ad spend to leadership after a slow sales week, this one is for you. Graham Goeppert liked thisGraham Goeppert liked thisThis is my "I'm literally in the air right now" post. Currently somewhere over the country, headed to Amazon Unboxed. I will talk your ear off about Amazon. AMC, DSP, Sponsored Ads, your total Amazon business, I'm here for all of it. But I also think it's important we talk total commerce, because Amazon doesn't operate in a vacuum. Walmart, Instacart, Kroger, and everyone else in the mix are part of the same conversation now. And Amazon itself isn't just a retail media platform anymore, it's a media platform. If we're not thinking holistically about how people actually shop and how we talk to them across all of it, we're missing out on performance. Total Commerce isn't a slide in someone's deck, it's just how budgets actually move these days. So if you're at Unboxed, come find me. I promise I’ll make it worth your time.

Graham Goeppert liked thisGraham Goeppert liked thisLast week at the first-ever Golden Cart Awards, I won The Signal. It's a peer-nominated award for "the industry voice people actually stop scrolling for" in e-commerce. All I can say to my friends & community is thank you. 🙏 And a bigger thank you to Debbie Kemunto Pearce and CartStars. You're building a corner of e-commerce that's supportive, collaborative and communal. I felt that while writing and launching my book, sharing my thinking out loud, and taking risks on new strategies. It's a lot easier to keep putting ideas out there when you know this community has your back. That kind of community compounds. See you at the next one. 🛒⭐️

Graham Goeppert liked thisGraham Goeppert liked thisAfter an incredible journey with poppi, and closing this professional chapter, I’m looking forward to what's next. I'm deeply grateful to Allison Ellsworth, Stephen Ellsworth, Chris Hall, PepsiCo, and especially every member of the poppi team who made this experience so meaningful. Building the People function alongside an extraordinary group of leaders and teammates, all during one of the company's most exciting periods of growth, has been one of the great privileges of my career. During my time with poppi, I helped the company evolve from a fast-growing startup into a PepsiCo brand, building the People function from the ground up. None of this would have been possible without the passion, resilience, and commitment of so many talented people. As I transition into an exciting new chapter with maternity leave, I've also made the intentional decision to spend the remainder of the year partnering with Crop Circle Consulting in a fractional HR capacity. This gives me the flexibility to work with an amazing group of HR leaders who support growing organizations while I enjoy this special season with my family. Looking toward 2027, I'll explore my next long-term opportunity to lead a People organization. I'm energized by high-growth companies that believe people strategy is business strategy, and one where #people are seen as the true competitive advantage. To everyone I've had the opportunity to work alongside over the years, THANK YOU. Your trust, partnership, and friendship have shaped me into the leader I am today, and I look forward to seeing everything you’ll accomplish. ✨

Shake Shack Q4 and full-year results, announced this morning: Q4 same-store sales growth of 2.1 percent. Two-year stack of 6.4 percent. For the year, Shake Shack’s comps climbed 2.3 percent, good for a two-year view of 5.9 percent. That Q4 comp comprised of 0.5 percent traffic and 1.6 percent price/mix. Digital accounted for 39.1 percent of store sales in Q4 versus 36.6 percent last year. Shake Shack has now hit 20 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales. Average weekly sales were $77,000. That number was $71,000 in 2021 and $73,000 in 2022, before rising to $75,000 in 2023 and $76,000 the following year. Systemwide sales of $618 million, a 23.4 percent rise, year-over-year. Operating income of $18.7 million and restaurant-level profit of $87.4 million, or 22.7 percent of store sales. That number is up from $71.9 million this time a year ago. Net income of $13 million (compared to $9.3 million last year) and adjusted EBITDA of $56.1 million (climb from $46.7 million in Q4 2024). Total revenue for all of 2025 clocked in at $1.445 billion, up 15.4 percent. Shake Shack opened 15 corporate stores and 17 licensed in Q4 to get to 45 corporate openings and 40 licensed for the calendar. Shake Shack now has 659 restaurants. It’s scaled from 369 to 436 to 518 to 579 to that figure since 2021. The plan for 2026 calls for 55 to 60 new company-owned sites and 40 to 45 licensed. Shake Shack also said it reduced the average net build cost for new stores to under $2 million in 2025, a reduction of approximately 20 percent compared to the prior year. “2025 was a year of strong execution and disciplined growth that demonstrated our focus on the right strategic priorities. Despite an uncertain macroeconomic environment, our team delivered solid financial results, expanded our footprint with our largest class yet, and made important strides in improving our unit economics and guest value proposition,” CEO Rob Lynch said.

Big moves across beverage alcohol law, spirits and sales leadership highlight the industry’s ongoing talent shuffle. 🧑⚖️🍸📈 ArentFox Schiff has expanded its bev-alc regulatory bench with four high-profile hires from Nutter and Mast‑Jägermeister US, including former DISCUS board member Michael Rudy and newly named partner Nichole Shustack. Meanwhile, Right Coast Spirits tapped longtime Harpoon executive Jon Schwartz to steer commercial strategy as its RTD Italian Ice brand posted triple-digit depletions growth, and NOCA Beverages promoted Stephanie Bernier to lead sales across the Mountain West. The Open Food Company is bolstering its leadership bench as it kicks off a $3 million seed round to scale its “radically transparent” CPG platform. 💼📈 The open-source holding company has appointed former CAVA Group CFO Jonathan Clark as fractional CFO and tapped creative veteran Matthew Langille as strategic advisor. Clark, who previously guided Honest Tea through its acquisition by Coca-Cola, will steer financial strategy and fundraising as the company eyes omnichannel expansion and new brand launches beyond its debut product, Harry’s Famous Sauce. Founded in 2024 by Renée Guilbault and actor Harry Hamlin, the company positions transparency as a competitive advantage—publishing detailed testing and nutrition data alongside its retail rollout at Gelson’s. With plans to expand into marinades, dressings, spices and more, the next chapter is already taking shape. 🌿🥫 Link to the full story in the first comment below 👇 #CPG #FoodIndustry #StartupFunding #Leadership #FoodTransparency #BetterForYou #RetailExpansion

Searching for growth? General Mills has announced plans to boldly go after the over 55s in their quest to increase volumes. While much of CPG chases 18-45s or the latest wellness fad, General Mills is placing its bets on three under-the-radar, high-leverage consumer groups: - Adults aged 55 +, who account for nearly half of U.S. households and have enormous spending power. - Consumers using GLP-1 medications (up to 12%+ of U.S. adults), who’re eating less but seeking more protein, more functional nutrients, smaller portions. - Hispanic shoppers, where General Mills plans to ramp up innovation and engagement by ~40% in FY26. This move takes product renovation in new directions - redesigning products and formats to match how people now live, eat and feel. They’re innovating for smaller households (smaller pack sizes), higher-protein need states, functional nutrition and not just indulgence. And this isn’t an isolated move. It’s part of a broader CPG reboot as the absence of growth looms.
