Gregory Goldring shared thisYou become the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Consider me lucky for this work crew! ❤️ 🧡Gregory Goldring shared thisA little love for this crew. ❤️ We work across hundreds of fintech & digital partners and dozens of cross functional teams, shaping strategies and bringing activations to life that help our partners grow and to build brand love. I’m grateful for the push and pull, the different perspectives and the way we make each other’s thinking better. Mostly, I’m grateful for this team and how much they teach me every day. ❤️

Gregory Goldring shared thisTwo weeks ago, while rushing to grab breakfast as usual from our cafeteria, I noticed Victor Araujo - another Red Bull alum, now at MC - sitting by himself. I paused and asked to join him. We ended up having a quick but inspiring conversation that helped me get to know him better, sparked some ideas, and he invited me to a discussion his team were already having that day - working through a similar challenge I’d been ideating through on my own! Instead of rushing past, it was refreshing to just connect. We spend more waking hours with coworkers than with our families, so let’s keep actually getting to know each other better! Fun to start a new routine. Any colleagues who want to join for the next ones, let me know! Inaugural Mastercard Breakfast Club today ☕🍳🥓 with Sydney Trager and Jamie Chiariello! Sorry you couldn’t make the first one Victor! #MastercardLife #BreakfastClub

Gregory Goldring posted thisThe best part of yesterday wasn’t just the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity panel - it was the whole day. A full day in NYC with an inspiring Mastercard team, thoughtful conversations about the future of brands and AI, and one takeaway I’ll be thinking about for a while: Coherence > consistency. Consistency builds recognition. Coherence builds connection. In a world of AI, creators, and personalization, the brands that stand out won’t be the ones that look the same everywhere - they’ll be the ones that feel authentic everywhere. Huge shout out to Lisa Maxwell for getting me involved with this great new B2B crew. It was inspiring to see other best in class leaders like Traci Alford, Toni Clayton-Hine, Tom Stein Cathy Taylor their field share their insights. And huge props to an amazing presentation by Rebecca Peel! And the perfect bonus? Meeting my sister for a coffee just a few blocks from the office before heading home. Great ideas. Great people. Great day.

Gregory Goldring reposted thisGregory Goldring reposted thisThe strongest advantage in business is the one a competitor can watch you pull off — and still not be able to copy. In soccer, Leo Messi has a move called the 'el amague' — the feint. Defenders have studied it on film hundreds of times. They know exactly what's coming, and they still can't stop it, because they're not up against a trick. They're up against years of practice. Companies work the same way. Anyone can match your price or your features, but almost no one can match the relationships, the reputation, and the judgment you've built over years, just like Messi. That's also true of Brex, a modern financial platform that helps startups and growing businesses run smarter. I'm proud to be a #MastercardPartner. Mastercard is celebrating Messi's legacy with the Jersey Swap campaign — built around his signature move, El Amague. Mastercard Brex NoPurchNec. 50 US/DC, legal age. Ends 7/5. #sponsored

Gregory Goldring shared thisWe’ve come a long way on this one! This partnership started as a simple idea on a video call… at the end of a long day... meeting a handful of new people... with my kids screaming in the background!.. and zero indication of just how big it would become. Fast forward, and it’s turned into something we’re really proud of and a true example of partner marketing at its finest. There's always a lot of potential in ideas but even more work that goes into getting it off the ground. Grateful for the team that pushed this forward and made it real, both at Mastercard and Brex. And not a bad way to bring it to life…working alongside the GOAT as he continues rewriting history on the pitch. Definitely a career highlight! Gregory Goldring shared thisIncredible dedication and team work to bring an idea and a vision to life! What makes your brand stand out during a time of intense volume is not just using a legend like Messi, but the thoughtful execution of creating a campaign to connect with people's passions. Gregory Goldring shared thisSome full circle moments hit different. 🔄 Last week I found myself standing on the 3rd floor at 150 Fifth Avenue where I spent years at Platinum Rye Entertainment, down the hall from my good friends and colleagues at Cogent and Engine Shop - except this time, I was there as part of the Mastercard team for the launch of the Amazon Small Business Marketplace. Standing in the space that used to be my office brings back great memories and inspires me to keep dreaming big. To see what that space has become, and to reflect on where all the people who were in it have come - it was genuinely moving. I often boast that the space used to be my office, but it was more than that. Where we’ve come belongs to the people we’ve had the privilege of working alongside! Gregory Goldring reposted thisGregory Goldring reposted thisWhat I love about partnership work is the multiplier effect. When the right people and organizations come together, you can create something much bigger than any one brand could do alone. Today at the Mastercard Tech Hub in NYC, we hosted the first event in our annual Small Business Summit series to kick off Small Business Month. From cross functional teams working behind the scenes, to my team bringing Amazon into the experience to support the small business marketplace, to the incredible small businesses who shared their stories today, every part of the experience was built together. Really proud of what the teams created together. Huge shoutout to Amber Dawkins, Scherise Merritt, and Colleen Galvin for the hard work behind the scenes and to Ginger Siegel for her championship. And sincere thanks to our partners at Amazon. #MastercardSmallBusiness #SmallBusinessMonth #CreatorEconomy

Gregory Goldring shared thisSmall Business Month is here — and today we kicked it off the right way. 🙌 This morning at the Tech Hub in New York City, Mastercard hosted the first stop of our Small Business Summit series, bringing together entrepreneurs, mentors, and the partners who power their growth. Today's theme: The Creator Economy. What made today extra special? We were proud to integrate our partners Amazon with the announcement of their new Small Business Card - an exciting step forward in giving entrepreneurs the financial tools they need to run and grow their businesses every day, not just when they ask for help. We had the privilege of spotlighting 5 incredible small businesses right here in NY including Lit Brooklyn, UnWrp Art, Don Carvajal Café, Chocolat Moderne, Hudson House and Public Drip. It was a reminder of why this work matters and why showing up city-by-city, in person, makes all the difference. Gregory Goldring reacted on thisGregory Goldring reacted on thisLast week, I sat down with my colleague (and friend!) Bunita Sawhney for an ‘Up on Strategy’ session, an employee series designed to help our people connect more deeply with Mastercard’s strategic priorities. This time, our conversation focused on how we’re taking Priceless into its next era. I’ve loved the Priceless brand for a long time. In fact, it’s what initially drew me to Mastercard. For nearly 30 years, Priceless has connected people to the experiences, passions and moments that matter to them. It’s one of the most iconic marketing platforms in the world, but what excites me most isn’t its legacy. It’s its future. Our business has evolved a lot over those 30 years, entering new arenas and serving a much broader set of customers, partners and stakeholders. Priceless must grow and stretch with it. We’re already seeing what that can look like. Our new Dreams work brings the spirit of Priceless to small businesses, pairing an emotional idea with real capabilities that can help entrepreneurs grow. And that’s just one example of how Priceless can resonate with new audiences, tell new stories and create value in new ways, while staying true to the idea that has made it so enduring. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared thoughtful questions, and to Bunita for leading such a meaningful discussion. I'm excited for the next chapter and grateful to the teams who bring it to life every day❤️🧡 #Priceless #MarketingStrategy #WeAreMastercard

Gregory Goldring reacted on thisGregory Goldring reacted on thisI'm excited to share that I've joined Mastercard as Executive Vice President, Strategy & Enablement, Marketing and Communications. As I thought about this next chapter, I realized it wasn't only the role itself that drew me in. It was the people. In my early conversations with Jill Kramer, Sachin Mehra, and leaders across the company and function, I was struck by something simple: they weren't talking about marketing and communications as a function that supports the business. They were talking about it as a driver of growth, transformation, and what comes next. And that's exactly what excites me most about the future of our function. Just as importantly, there was a genuine belief that how we work matters. Ambition, performance, and innovation are expected. But at Mastercard, so are kindness, trust, and bringing people along on the journey. Not as trade-offs, but as equally important ingredients for success. I've always believed the best marketing and communications teams do more than tell stories. They help shape the future through strategy, partnerships, technology, AI, and exceptional execution. I'm grateful for the opportunity and excited to build alongside an incredibly talented team as we help shape the next chapter of brand and growth for Mastercard.

Gregory Goldring liked thisGregory Goldring liked thisMy first year and half as the President of Mastercard Canada has been a fantastic ride. At the beginning, I was faced with the reality of being new to payments, new to my role and new to Mastercard. But being new gives us permission to ask questions, challenge assumptions and look at opportunities and obstacles through a different lens. And it gave my team the license to do the same. My team's curiosity, ambition, and willingness to question my and each other’s thinking has been the best part of this journey. Over the past several months, our collective diversity of perspective has become our real differentiator. We’ve explored new ideas, challenged one another and gotten more courageous. Even when it’s been hard! It’s in that spirit that I was honoured to receive the Innovation Award from Women in Payments last night. Innovation is most certainly never the work of one person - it can only be done as a collective. And it can only be done through the trust of legendary leaders like Linda Kirkpatrick and Sachin Mehra. This is also why six other phenomenal women from Mastercard were recognized across this year’s Women in Payments award categories: Amisha Parikh, Andrea Reynolds, Ankita Bhowmik, Diane Miquelon, Jennifer M Sloan and Melissa Wong. These nominations were a direct reflection of their talent and leadership and Mastercard’s brilliant culture. There’s tremendous momentum behind what we’re building, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next. The best part? The journey has just begun...especially in “payments” years 😊.

Gregory Goldring reacted on thisGregory Goldring reacted on thisAs we wrap up the Americas Insights Video Series, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. When we started this journey, the goal was simple: get closer to people and evalate their voices, values, and experiences. Focus on small businesses, and communities across the Americas and share the stories, insights, and trends shaping our future. What I didn't fully anticipate was how much this series would mean to our team and, hopefully, to many of you. Over the past year, we've traveled across the region, explored fascinating topics, challenged assumptions, and uncovered insights that help us better understand the world around us. Behind every episode were countless conversations, research projects, debates, edits, rewrites, and moments of curiosity from an incredibly passionate team that believes insights should be inspiring, actionable, and accessible. Together, we've explored people, passions, culture, money, business, and technology. We've met planners, builders, achievers, entrepreneurs, creators, skeptics, optimists, and innovators. Most importantly, we've been reminded that behind every trend is a real human story. The numbers are fun to look back on: 5 countries. 40 episodes. Tens of thousands of consumers. Countless insights. The real highlight has been the community that formed around this series. Your comments, reactions, questions, and conversations made every episode better. You made us laugh, made us think, and often pushed our research in new directions. What started as a video series became a shared space for learning and curiosity. On a personal note, I feel incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring these stories to life. To our researchers, storytellers, producers, guest stars, and viewers: thank you for joining us on this adventure. And while Season 1 may be coming to a close, we're not done yet. In the coming weeks, we're excited to share something new. A fresh chapter, new formats, new perspectives, and new ways to explore the trends, technologies, and human stories shaping what's next. And as always...Stay Curious. #Mastercard #insights #Community

Always enjoy speaking to Ken Kerschbaumer at Sports Video Group about the shape of the industry and the trends reshaping how sports properties connect with fans. This year’s conversation, tied to IMG’s 2026 Digital Trends Report, surfaced some important shifts - especially the resurgence of long-form content at a time when some people insist attention spans are collapsing. We also dug into how AI is quietly rewriting the discovery journey - fans increasingly watch what engines serve, not what they search. ... and also the importance of local nuance in unlocking real connection - with humans still knowing how to best adapt content so it resonates in culture, not just in translation. If you’re curious where the digital landscape is really heading, here's the full write up 👇 https://lnkd.in/eDN3Jeji

Huge news for everyone in the NIL industry. Here's my 4 biggest takeaways: 1. If you’re wondering when major brands are going to start seriously investing in college athletes as creators, here’s your answer. Publicis Groupe is one of the biggest advertising companies in the world. Now they’re launching a new company with Travis Kelce and 3 Arts Sports (a sports agency) to help brands identify, activate and measure partnerships with college athletes. HUGE. 2. The “NIL is a $4.5 billion market” headline needs an asterisk. That does not mean brands are spending $4.5 billion paying athletes to create content and promote products. That number includes athletes getting paid directly by their schools and money flowing through the broader recruiting and revenue-sharing side of college sports. A quarterback getting paid millions to play football and a volleyball player getting paid $500 to create an Instagram Reel are both technically considered “NIL.” But they're completely different markets. 3. My guess is that TEKTA initially focuses on the biggest names in college sports. 3 Arts Sports is an agency that represents A-list pro athletes like Travis Kelce, Myles Garrett and Sophie Cunningham. So I’d expect TEKTA to start with: The star quarterbacks. The future first-round picks. The athletes with millions of followers. It's not financially worth it for big agencies like this to represent hundreds of micro-influencers. But... 4. I believe the bigger long-term opportunity is the other 99% of college athletes. There are just 5,000 professional athletes in the US. There are more than 500,000 college athletes. 100x!! One college athlete may not move the needle for a massive brand. Hundreds or thousands of them activated together absolutely can. I don’t know if that’s where TEKTA is heading. My guess is that it isn’t, but I could be wrong. Either way, one of the biggest advertising companies in the world making a serious investment in NIL is a massive proof point for the entire industry. As someone who has spent the last 5+ years building in this space, I’m very excited to see what this unlocks for the NIL industry moving forward.

Sports broadcasting is shifting. Direct to consumer. The collapse of the U.S. regional sports network model accelerated it. And globally. Leagues are adapting fast. This is an inflection point. 2025–2026. Here’s the underlying change. Distribution is no longer bundled. It’s owned. Leagues. Teams. Platforms. Going straight to the fan. That changes everything. Pricing. Data. Retention. Because when you control distribution. You control the relationship. And the revenue. RSNs were built for reach. D2C is built for ownership. And once that shift happens. It doesn’t reverse. #SportsBusiness #Streaming #Media #D2C #SportsTech

Communications is becoming part of the investment thesis in sports. As capital pours into teams, leagues, media, technology and other sports assets, reputation increasingly affects how value is created, protected, and realized. That’s the opportunity we’re building around at Prosek —advising owners, investors, operators, brands, and athletes across transactions, reputation, sponsorships, executive positioning, crisis, and growth. Our job: Help clients unlock, protect and multiply value through reputation. Enjoyed discussing where #SportsBusiness is heading and why communications increasingly belongs at the center of the strategy.
