Himanshu Palsule shared thisToday is International Women’s Day and this year feels a little different. Just three months ago, my family welcomed a new baby girl, our first grandchild. She will be part of “Generation Beta” and has come into a world occupied with wars, economic uncertainty and amidst a technology upheaval set to completely reimagine what her generation’s future of work may look like. Which is why International Women’s Day is a day of reflection on equality. And this year, pressingly as AI reshapes how we work, there is a risk according to multiple studies, most recently from the International Labor Organization (ILO) that the disruption will disproportionately impact women. But here’s what I also believe: this is a reskilling moment, not a replacement moment. What concerns me isn’t whether women can rise to this challenge. They absolutely will. What concerns me is whether the leaders, companies, institutions will invest in them at the pace this moment demands. Reskilling programs, equitable access to AI tools, sponsorship into the roles AI is creating, not just the ones it’s changing. Last year on this day, I shared photos of the women in my family who have shaped me. This year I wanted to share something else: a commitment. Because the best thing I can do to honor them isn’t just gratitude, it’s making sure we don’t leave talented women behind in this transition. We’ve navigated every major workforce shift in modern history. Not perfectly, but persistently. I’m betting on that persistence again. Let us all lean in and make this commitment. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInAI #FutureOfWork #CornerstoneOnDemand

Himanshu Palsule shared this‘Hej’ from Stockholm and Gothenburg. Artificial intelligence is driving a planet scale transformation in business. And the best place to be, to understand its true impact is in the field - observing customers in their factories, at their offices, and inside their stores. I had the opportunity to spend time with Atlas Copco, Electrolux Group, Essity, H&M and Volvo Group while visiting some of our Nordic customers this week. Our visits focused on how learning, skills and capability building directly support our customer’s individual missions and strategic transformation priorities. Despite differences in their products and strategies, the leaders I connected with this week have a shared vision of bringing out the best in their organizations, whether that’s preparing teams for change, scaling expertise, or ensuring the right skills are in place for the future.

Himanshu Palsule shared thisThis week, our Cornerstone OnDemand Americas sales and go-to-market teams came together for our annual Sales Kickoff in Palm Springs and the message was clear: the pace of change isn’t slowing down, and neither are we. This week one theme stood out: we help organizations adapt and compete, not just in moments of strength, but in moments of uncertainty. That responsibility demands sharper execution, deeper industry insight, and a relentless focus on outcomes. I’m proud of our Americas team led by Michael Pawlyszyn. The energy in the room reflected a group that understands the stakes and is ready to raise the bar. Strong pipeline discipline. Smarter cross-functional collaboration. A commitment to continuous learning. Winning isn’t accidental; it’s built. Here’s to a year defined not just by growth, but by impact for our customers, our partners, and every Cornerstar in Americas.

Himanshu Palsule shared thisBefore sharing my key takeaways from #WEF26 #Davos 2026, I want to acknowledge how genuinely fortunate I felt to be among such an extraordinary group of thinkers, innovators, and business leaders. It was a rare privilege to listen, learn, and contribute alongside people pushing the boundaries of technology, business, and governments. My biggest takeaway: AI has finally catalyzed from rhetoric to reason. From cost optimization to driving growth. From fear to form. And how corporations and governments need to carefully collaborate to make this fair, ethical, and purposeful. Geo politics will be an uneven scale changer but global reskilling using refined AI models could be an opportunity to level the playing field. I left with a renewed faith in humanity. Real optimism, grounded in the leaders I met; their values, their intent, and their belief that AI can unlock a future we’re only beginning to imagine for the next generation. Also worth noting: if Billy Idol can still deliver a rock performance, age really is just a number Thank you Saadia Zahidi , Tanya Milberg , Till Alexander Leopold and Adam Sherman for creating this opportunity.

Himanshu Palsule shared thisEnjoyed my conversation with Saadia Zahidi today on a wide range of topics and opportunities. Impressed by her vision and ambition for #WEF26 and the communities that they serve.

Himanshu Palsule shared thisWhat a privilige to share the stage with my esteemed colleagues like Andrew Ng and others with our fabulous host Shereen Bhan at #wef26 in #davos.Himanshu Palsule shared thisAt #WEF26 in #Davos, Cornerstone OnDemand CEO Himanshu Palsule shared a powerful takeaway: the biggest risk is not AI replacing jobs. It is leaving behind the generation most capable of implementing it. Instead of training junior talent for repeatable roles that will soon be automated, we need to build pathways that prioritize what AI cannot replicate: context, judgment, and decision-making. The future looks “T-shaped,” with broad AI fluency, deep domain expertise, and real apprenticeships and modern onboarding that help early-career talent grow. From finance and law to healthcare and hospitality, any role built on words, language, and numbers is being disrupted, and the organizations that adapt fastest will win. 🎥 Watch the full session to hear how leaders can keep career growth possible in an AI-driven economy: https://csod.info/49JXQNL

Himanshu Palsule shared thisAhead of #WEF26 in Davos this week, I’m proud to represent Cornerstone OnDemand’s 7,000 customers and 140M users, along with our employees, as we make our company’s Reskilling Revolution commitment with the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation and Skill Passport initiatives. The Reskilling Revolution initiative reflects Cornerstone’s longstanding commitment to strengthen workforce readiness, improve economic mobility, and help more people translate verified skills into real opportunity. The reality is: skills gaps are no longer a future risk. They are a present-day constraint on growth, productivity, and competitiveness plaguing organizations and individuals alike. AI and energy transitions are reshaping jobs faster than most education and workforce systems can adapt. Without large-scale reskilling, we don’t just leave people behind we hold entire economies back. Looking forward to continuing efforts this week and chairing the upcoming session: Reskilling Revolution: Shaping the Future of Global Talent.

Himanshu Palsule shared thisAs we head into a new year, I’m reflecting on the many conversations I’ve had with customers in 2025. “The only constant seems to be change” has been a resounding theme, along with the priority that workforce transformation will be a major global focus of 2026. The reality is that transformation is never a single moment, project or ever over. There is no single box to check, but the customers who have inspired me in the past year are testing and embody the spirit of continuous learning. I’ve had the privilege of seeing many teams and individuals push the boundaries of what’s possible and that’s what our Cornerstone Galaxy Awards are all about: spotlighting the innovators, builders, and visionaries who are truly shaping the future of work. If you’re driving real change, or know someone who is, please take a few minutes to nominate them. We talk a lot about the future of work, but it’s the people and teams out there making it happen right now. Don’t let their stories go untold. Nominations are open until January 9. I can’t wait to see what our community will bring forward in 2026! https://lnkd.in/gH4TiAMj

Himanshu Palsule liked thisHimanshu Palsule liked thisAt the World Economic Forum’s Industry Strategy Meeting in Munich, leaders came together to examine how a shifting global #economy is reshaping growth. #ISM26 In sessions I facilitated on future economic scenarios, the discussion focused on moving beyond global growth averages to better understand how economic trajectories will diverge across regions, why and what that means for decision making. Working through possible futures to 2030, it was clear that growth will be increasingly uneven, shaped by differences in geoeconomics, technology adoption and policy choices, creating a wider range of possible outcomes for investment, productivity and fiscal and monetary policy. In this context, scenario planning is no longer a theoretical exercise but an essential tool for navigating uncertainty. It allows leaders to prepare for multiple pathways while identifying risks and opportunities that cut across them. The Forum’s Scenarios for the New Economy series aims to do exactly that. The challenge ahead is not just to anticipate change, but to build strategies that remain robust across a range of economic futures. Great to collaborate with many colleagues across the Forum and partners. Francisco Betti, Attilio Di Battista, Mark Elsner, Amalya, Kateryna Karunska, Filippo Crotta, Andre Belelieu, Daniel Murphy

Censia AI was named No. 144 on the 2025 Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, with 560% growth. Recognition like this reflects the momentum behind what organizations are seeking from AI right now. Leaders are eager to move as fast as work is changing, and they want partners who can help them apply AI in ways that create real value. The opportunity is not just to adopt new technology, but to use it in practical ways that improve decisions, strengthen workforce performance, and drive better business outcomes. That is where Censia AI has been focused from the beginning, and it is a privilege to do that work alongside our customers. Himanshu Palsule liked thisHimanshu Palsule liked thisHigh noon on the last day of the year and my world is teetering on the brink… 35 days prior I had sent an email to all my customers saying that my year “ended” on December 19th and I wanted to wrap things up so everyone could enjoy the holidays and I could celebrate my wife’s birthday on December 30th…five customers had other plans. At noon on December 31st… I had our Global VP at UPS getting documents notarized. Thanks Jared Bogert! I had our Legal Counsel on a call sorting out last minute contractual negotiations that we (customer or us) didn’t know about until the day before. I had Order Validation reviewing an order. I had one customer totally ghosting me. I had one customer who said, “We have the approvals but the person who provides final signatures is out until the 3rd.” I had one customer who said, “We just signed!” & “Thank you Phil! Happy New Year to you and your family. We appreciate your partnership.” Needless to say it was a long day of ups, downs and all arounds. After a 12+ hour day at 9pm ET I decided to call it a day because my entire family was waiting for me for NYE festivities and my east coast customers had already called it a year. Only two of the five customers came across the finish line but the customer with the nice message wishing me & my family well was enough to get me over the line. It was a stressful as it gets but I felt I did all I could do. I tell the story because I’ve found many can relate. All of that stress on the last day of the year and the stress of the year lead to this Circle of Excellence gratitude post. Making Circle of Excellence in my first year was a grind and I sacrificed some health and family time but I am grateful for the COE experience in Lanai, Hawaii. It was great for me but also for my wife to not only experience the trip but also to hear more about the company and meet some of the great people I work with. Speaking of great people to work with, shout out to everyone who helped me last year go above and beyond: - Laura Baker - no one helped me more than my manager. Laura’s ability to excel in all levels of being a good manager (strategy and functional support, empathy and understanding, expectation setting and reframing, humor and more) was the most crucial to my success. - Taylor Downs Engebretson - my AAM was so solid and was such a great teammate with personality and professionalism. - Katie Maguire - my SSM was there when I needed her the most & hopped on so many calls to brainstorm & talk with customers. - Al Pangelinan - my SC delivered a fantastic presentation during our Think Tank. - Public Sector Team - THANK YOU for all the advice and support from Kurt Ackman , Eddie Martinez, Rome Malloy, Jordan Bailey Amanda Brovick and my “AM Newbies”, Jackie Kelly & Miranda Hearn . It was a wild ride last year and I am grateful for everyone (mentioned above, in comments and not mentioned) who supported me along my journey. On to year 2! (Gratitude post: 7/52)

Deloitte and Washington State University partnered to create a Workday Adaptive Planning-powered grant forecasting solution, addressing the complexities of university grant management. This collaboration aimed to improve the stewardship of sponsor-funded research by providing a centralized tool for accurate financial projections. The Workday for Higher Education solution's value lies in its ability to forecast facilities and administration costs, project salary and benefits, and enable "what-if" scenario planning. This empowers researchers and administrators with data-driven insights for better budget management and resource allocation, leading to more effective use of grant funding. Ultimately, this tool streamlines grant planning, standardizes budget practices, and enhances the accuracy of financial forecasts at WSU. Its intuitive reporting and scenario capabilities improve decision-making, resulting in increased efficiency and financial accountability within the university's research operations, as praised by its users. #workday #grants #sponsoredresearch https://lnkd.in/gnmxshN8

It was a pleasure speaking with Grace Noto at CFO Dive about the talent shortage problem we are dealing with in the finance org. While we often measure ROI through hard costs and efficiency, we discussed shifting that focus. In a shrinking workforce, the real return on investment should be measured by how technology empowers our people. When we approach technology with an eye toward empowerment rather than replacement, we don't just solve for the bottom line. We solve for the long term health of our teams. https://lnkd.in/eygYen8n #technology #accounting #finance #taxtech

My Take: What does Salesforce’s acquisition of Informatica mean for MDM? Salesforce is again acquiring legacy technology with a significant installed base, prioritizing revenue scale over innovation. Here’s my candid take on the implications of Salesforce's acquisition of Informatica: It underscores the importance of trusted data: Having begun my career at Siebel, I've witnessed firsthand how CRM solutions struggled, not because of lack of functionality, but because they became YET ANOTHER data silo. Similarly, during my time at Qlik and Celonis, it became clear that even the most sophisticated and visually engaging analytics solutions fail to answer business questions if they’re based on low quality data. The move to adopt AI has lit a fire under the challenge of crappy data – trusted data has never been more critical. Missing the data movement trees, through the business context forest: Ok, that’s a mouthful, but hear me out. Data people care about moving data around, because that’s what they do all day. Someone wants “a cut” of the data in a slightly different way, so a script is built and yet another database table is stood up. But this is a huge mistake, and a missed opportunity. The opportunity is to organize data into business topic areas (“entities”) that matter to the business (“customer”, “supplier”, “product”, “part”, “facility”, etc.). The world doesn’t need more new ways to move data around; it needs trusted data organized to answer questions. There is only one way to do this: use AI (Tamr) and don’t rely on rules. Clearing away the cruft: The enterprise software business is like a forest, it benefits when a fire clears away the dead growth and lets new growth flourish. Informatica’s acquisition clears away some of the biggest dead wood in the data management forest. This is akin to IBM buying Cognos or SAP buying Business Objects in opening a market opportunity for Qlik and Tableau 10 years ago.

The #1 mistake Chief Revenue Officers make with the development of their compensation plan strategies? Overcomplication. I recently sat down (again) with Dana Therrien, of Anaplan - one of the foremost experts in revenue compensation, on the latest episode of the CRO Spotlight Podcast. We took a dive into why so many comp plans demotivate instead of inspire. A few takeaways that stuck with me: The most effective compensation plans are the simplest. One quota—no more than three. Anything beyond that and you lose your best talent. Comp isn’t just about money—it’s about autonomy. Salespeople want control over their own “mini business.” Overly engineered systems kill that spirit. Incentives must align not just with short-term bookings, but with customer success and long-term value. Otherwise, you’re rewarding behavior that destroys renewal rates. CROs need to push back against comp plans designed by committee and consensus. Without clear charters and guiding principles, complexity—and dysfunction—wins. Dana and I also discussed: - Why AI will change how compensation is designed (and how salespeople navigate it) - The clash between short-term quotas and long-term customer adoption - How to build a “Compensation Review Board” to keep governance in check If you’re a CRO, RevOps leader, or CEO wrestling with compensation, this conversation is a must-listen.

Excited to share insights from Xactly's CFO, Jason Godley, in this fantastic CFO Dive article! Jason highlights the evolving role of the CFO, emphasizing the need for an "unhealthy degree" of curiosity and a shift from "gatekeeper" to "coach" to effectively integrate finance and operations. Jason Godley's perspective on how CFOs, regardless of title, are increasingly expected to be operational leaders resonates strongly. It's all about taking off the "CFO hat," being open-minded, empathetic, and curious about other business functions. A truly inspiring read on modern financial leadership! Robert F. Smith, CEO of Vista Equity Partners, recently posted a video about the future of enterprise software that's worth watching. He describes a shift with pricing and the emergence of what he calls "agentic enterprise solutions." This is terminology that Salesforce has been talking about since Dreamforce. Context, trust, and the ability to operate at scale are what separate the winners. The specific agentic enterprise technology matters. It's certainly no secret that we are big believers in the power of Salesforce, Agentforce, Data 360, and love Slack. We also understand and are huge fans and users of solutions like Claude, and others. No single technology can or should do it all. You really need to understand the motivation behind the work, what success actually looks like for a given job, before you can determine the right technology and approach to get there. Smith makes a point that really resonates: when you're processing insurance claims or sending wire transfers, "probably right" is not good enough. He's right, and that's why getting value from AI requires two kinds of orchestration. 1️⃣ You have to orchestrate the technology, the right AI combined with well-designed enterprise software that brings structure, workflows, and accountability. 2️⃣ And you have to orchestrate the workforce, designing digital worker roles, onboarding them with context, managing their performance, and coaching them over time just like you would any employee. I go deeper on both of these in a couple of blog posts I'll link in the comments. That's what we help our customers do at Asymbl. Design, coach, and manage digital workers that drive real ROI. Technology to hire the human talent who can orchestrate alongside them. Broad platform and solution expertise to bring it all together. You can't scale digital labor without the discipline to manage it, and you can't orchestrate a workforce you can't build. Smith says this could be the most valuable chapter in software's history. We agree, and what we're building next takes it even further. Links to video and blogs in comments. #workforceorchestration #digitallabor #futureofwork #AI
