Just because you're getting paid doesn't mean you need to always be actively hands-on working in accounts. If you're analyzing data, and the data says things are going good; and we know that when you make changes you're resetting the algorithm, or you're resetting the learning phase, or you're just throwing in unknown variables; then sometimes it's best to just not touch it. There are accounts and there are ads where you can literally run them for months, if not years, and maintain a high level of performance. 
 Nowadays, that's definitely much less the case with Meta because they just destroyed that whole concept of operating with their algorithm changes, but still in many instances just because you're getting paid doesn't mean you need to be creating nonstop. Being a professional means knowing when to optimize and when to wait. Output does not equal performance.

I talk to a lot of people who say ads just “don’t work for them.” They’ll run a few campaigns, spend some money, see nothing happen, and walk away convinced paid traffic is broken. I get it. Nothing stings like putting time and money into something that doesn’t move the needle. But every time I dig into what actually went wrong, I notice the same pattern. The problem usually starts long before the campaign even launches. The creative never had a chance to grab anyone’s attention, or the offer wasn’t strong enough to make someone stop what they’re doing and take action. I’ve seen ads with perfect targeting fall flat because the creative didn’t connect with the audience in the first couple seconds. And I’ve seen beautifully edited videos get ignored because the offer didn’t feel urgent, exciting or meaningful. When that happens, it’s easy to blame the platform or the algorithm. It’s harder, but way more productive, to look at the story you’re telling and the promise you’re making. Whenever I run into underperforming ads, I don’t quit. I go back to those two pieces. I look for ways to make the creative feel alive, relatable, or surprising. I look for ways to make the offer feel irresistible. And every time those two elements improve, the results follow. Same audience. Same budget. Completely different outcome. Most people give up before they fix the real problem. But the truth is, the moment you start treating ads like a story you have to earn attention for, instead of a button you press and hope for the best, everything changes.
