We kicked things off with 100 student ambassadors picking up their first round of back-to-school fuel, featuring products from Gorilla Mind, Clean Simple Eats and more. Throughout the semester, they’ll receive monthly product drops, exclusive merch, and opportunities to bring The Vitamin Shoppe to life across campus. Shoppe U gives us a new way to connect with the next generation of wellness enthusiasts, build community on campus, and get some of our favorite products into students’ hands. We’re excited to see where our first class of Shoppe U takes us. Go Bucks!

Bush signed Proclamation 6045, setting aside October to honor Italian heritage and culture in the United States. The timing was intentional, aligning the month with Columbus Day, observed this year on Monday, October 12. Today, more than 17 million Americans trace their roots to Italy. Generations of immigrants and their descendants have shaped this country as builders, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, public servants, and members of the armed forces, leaving their mark on nearly every chapter of the American story. All month long, we’re honoring the people, places, and traditions that define the Italian American experience. Happy Italian Heritage Month from the National Italian American Foundation! Tell us below: what part of your Italian heritage do you carry with you every day?

Joseph Patalano liked thisJoseph Patalano liked thisHealth isn't linear. When I was a kid, I was constantly sick — bronchitis, strep throat, colds, you name it. I had the immune system of an infant, felt chronically exhausted, and was battling inflammation before I even knew what inflammation was. When I was seven, my parents took me to Westchester Medical for my first endoscopy after dramatic weight loss, malnourishment and generally looking unwell. My bloodwork appeared fine. The endoscopy was inconclusive. When I was 15, the symptoms came back with a vengeance. I was a three-sport athlete who suddenly couldn't make it down the court without nearly losing my lunch. Sometimes I did. My eyes were jaundiced, my complexion was pale, and I couldn't keep weight on. My dad heard about a new pediatric gastroenterologist through a radio ad and made an appointment that week. She diagnosed me with celiac disease through antibody testing. With a strict gluten-free diet, my symptoms finally went into remission. Years later came ulcerative proctitis, a form of ulcerative colitis that was causing me to fall into low enough ferritin levels that required infusions every two weeks while being a student athlete in college. I'd head to practice after an infusion. My body was screaming for rest. Third time's the charm as they say, and I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my late 20's. I underwent a laparoscopy that removed endo lesions and left me without an appendix. It was scarred over, trying its hardest to protect endo from spreading. The human body is incredibly intelligent. This, was my final straw. I became an investigative journalist of my own health. I started acupuncture and began working with a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine who I still see eight years later. His care fundamentally changed my life. I overhauled the way I ate, removing processed foods, meat, dairy and anything that consistently left me feeling less than optimal. I started studying herbalism and built an earth-derived routine to complement my nutrition. I made the sauna part of my daily life. I studied the NERVOUS SYSTEM, and finally understood that living in fight or flight was likely one of the largest contributors to my conditions. I am such a product of nervous system reconditioning that Gabriel Snow and I started Perfect Days Collective. None of it happened overnight. None of it means chronic illness simply disappears. The routines and habits I've adopted have allowed me to live the life I've always craved the most. Today, most people know the version of me in the photo below, taken at the highest point in Vermont last weekend. What many don't know is that it took more than 20 years of advocating for my health, paying attention to my body, asking questions, getting things wrong, trying again and learning what helps me feel my best to arrive here. Healthy, for me, isn't a finish line, but an an ongoing relationship with the body I've been gifted. Test. Learn. Adapt. We only get one shot at this thing.,

From meet-and-greets with Gorilla Mind athletes Sean “Shizzy” Taaffe and Max Taylor to product sampling, carnival treats and a claw machine, the evening was packed with ways for guests to connect with the brand. We even welcomed more than 40 runners from the UES Run Club, who made The Shoppe their finish line for the night! As our third Brand Takeover of the year, the event continued our mission of bringing exciting product launches to life and creating memorable experiences for our community. A big thank you to Candace Nunnally and the Store 919 team, Joseph Patalano, David Lipke, Lindsay McSwigan, Sebastian Georgescu, Caroline Daniells, and David DiTota for all their work bringing this event to life!

One of my favorite parts of being a merchant is discovering what’s next, building meaningful partnerships with founders and brands, and bringing great products to our customers. I’m looking forward to hosting The Vitamin Shoppe’s Retail Den session, where I’ll share what makes us unique as a retail partner, what we look for, and what goes into a successful launch and long-term partnership. Thank you to Sean Kelly and the Founderland.us team for inviting me to be part of it! Looking forward to seeing everyone in Malibu! 🌴

Through this new episode of Stories of Mobility & Development, we shine a light on the journeys that reflect our EVP pillar, Artful Exploration, through the authentic experiences of our people. At Acqua di Parma, we see development as a journey built on curiosity, openness, and the willingness to step into new challenges. We believe growth is fostered over time through diverse experiences, evolving responsibilities, and opportunities to explore different paths across roles, teams, and Maisons. In this new story, we meet Rafael Flores, Europe Director, whose journey is a strong example of mobility and development in action. Now in his sixth position and third internal mobility move, Rafael has built his path through diverse experiences across the Group. His story reflects how internal mobility can open new paths, strengthen capabilities, and create meaningful opportunities for both personal and professional growth. #LVMH #CelebratingOurPeople #LifeatAcquadiParma #AcquaDiParma Discover more about the Maison: https://lnkd.in/dkqmVzCe
