Jonathan Symonds shared thisSeeing this market develop in real time is pretty cool. Agree that securitization follows standardization.Jonathan Symonds shared thisThe capital required for AI Infrastructure will extend well into the trillions. Financing that buildout will require broader and deeper capital markets with better tools for managing risk. Securitization requires standardization. Standardization requires transparency and that in turn delivers fungibility. Those are the building blocks of what we are seeing in the rapidly coalescing AI Compute market. Unsurprisingly, NVIDIA has led the way. Its DSX AI Factory Blueprint provides a common design framework, while Exemplar validates cluster performance. NVIDIA's contributions are coupled with innovative work being done by companies like Silicon Data, Ornn and OneChronos and you have the components of an AI Compute market, which lets players in every segment manage risk more effectively. I share my thoughts on how this is shaping up and what operators, customers and capital providers ultimately benefit. Link in the first comment.

Jonathan Symonds reposted thisThe financial architecture to fund NVIDIA AI Infrastructure is taking shape in real time. OneChronos is building a marketplace to invest in NVIDIA AI factories as an asset, independent of the offtakers. Efficient large-scale capital formation is around the corner. Something that is possible because NVIDIA AI factories are productive, durable, fungible and standarized. Capital partners such as Apollo Global Management, Inc., Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BlackRock, Blackstone, Blue Owl Capital, Brookfield, The Carlyle Group, Citi, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, KKR, Macquarie Group, PIMCO, UBS will increasingly be able to work with NVIDIA Cloud Partners to underwrite and finance NVIDIA AI Infrastructure at scale. Excited to see more - Kelly Littlepage and OneChronos.Jonathan Symonds reposted thisIt was great to be on the NYSE floor to talk to Marley Kayden about why compute needs its own financial market. AI hardware isn't fungible, but the economic claims on it can be. We talk about why the better approach is to securitize the cash flows generated by individual compute assets, bringing together offtakers, project builders, and lenders through combinatorial auctions. Crucially, our approach gives investors tools to price debt based on the financial fungibility and investability of the AI factory, not the borrower or the offtakers. That's the key unlock. Helping scale AI compute as safely, sustainably, and rapidly as possible, for the benefit of society, is the generational opportunity we're excited to be working on at OneChronos. Thank you again to Marley and Schwab Network for having me on. https://lnkd.in/gwKpBE8t #OneChronos #Compute #AI #GPUsOneChronos CEO on Three Players Shaping the GPU Compute Market | Schwab NetworkOneChronos CEO on Three Players Shaping the GPU Compute Market | Schwab Network

Jonathan Symonds shared thisReally interesting take. The ability to encode repeatable first principles into the build process is the model for faster, more economic and more operationally resilient data centers. Well worth the time.Jonathan Symonds shared thisThe heroic AI data center builds make headlines: 122-day sprints, expedited supply chains, 24/7 executive oversight. They also don't scale. Heroics don't compound. First principles do. If you’re building one campus a year, heroics might pull you across the finish line. But the leading companies in the space aren't building one site anymore; they’re building five, ten, or more simultaneously. You cannot hero-build a portfolio across multiple customers and multiple geographies. The core issue in AI infrastructure today is making sure your first principles don’t confuse replication with repeatability: • 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (blindly copy-pasting a static blueprint) breaks the second it hits local reality: constrained grid interconnects, climate shifts, water limits, or local permitting. • 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 accepts that every site is different, but strictly governs how far those local differences are allowed to travel down the engineering stack. Start with what the compute requires from power, cooling and controls. Work outward to understand how each site can meet those requirements. Then establish interfaces that keep a local difference from forcing changes throughout the factory. A different utility voltage requires an appropriate electrical solution. It shouldn’t automatically reopen the compute topology. A different way of rejecting heat shouldn’t mean reinventing the cooling loop at the rack. Getting those boundaries right is where the hard engineering earns its value across multiple builds. The next team inherits qualified configurations, tested interfaces and evidence that the system works. It can concentrate on the conditions that actually require a new answer. That is the substance behind Radiant’s ambition to reuse roughly 80% of an AI factory’s architecture. The percentage will vary but the ambition imposes a discipline on deciding which engineering decisions remain valid and which need to be revisited. This reality has created a massive strategic vulnerability. Compute architectures now move on an annual cadence, while physical infrastructure runs on multi-year timelines. If you redesign your core facility architecture for every single build, you risk shipping a multi-billion-dollar facility that is structurally impaired at RFS. Manesh Patel PhD CEng MIET, Radiant’s Director of Data Center Development, frames this as a product-architecture problem and details how to draw that boundary and why repeatability depends on understanding what makes each site different. For cluster administrators, fleet management decisions require a clear picture of availability, ownership, topology, and health. Radiant FlightDeck brings that picture together in one comprehensive view of the fleet, with the controls to allocate, recover and put every GPU to work. Jonathan Symonds liked thisJonathan Symonds liked thisHonoured to have delivered the inaugural lecture on Agentic AI & Graph Engineering on the first ever Vibe Coding course at UCL Computer Science alongside Philip Treleaven! I still have very fond memories as a CS undergraduate at UCL and amazed how AI has changed software engineering and learning in general. Some of my reflections based on some really good questions with students: 1.) the pace of innovation is crazy (I had to rewrite this lecture 3 times over the summer !) so changes how students stay on top of new breakthroughs 2.) changing career landscape (we will all need to learn how to leverage AI tools and become managers of hybrid AI-human teams, but more importantly higher value output will become a currency in the workplace) 3.) we need more compute and tokens to drive innovation in the next generation of talent (the next AI nobel prize winner/unicorn founder was in that lecture hall but how do we arm him/her with AI compute and tokens to experiment and innovate?) 4.) Live demos (the old adage of never giving a live demo changes with claude code ☺️).

New research on how hungry is GenAI: ‘Even a 0.42 Wh short query, when scaled to 700M queries/day, aggregates to annual electricity comparable to 35,000 U.S. homes, evaporative freshwater equal to the annual drink- ing needs of 1.2M people, and carbon emissions requiring a Chicago-sized forest to offset. Acc to this paper, DeepSeek is not better than US models on water consumption and carbon emissions, on the contrary. As usage of AI increases all over the world so does the detrimental impact on our planet. https://lnkd.in/dJjmkbeF

We published a new blog post in collaboration with Portkey that breaks down an emerging design pattern - AI gateway plus real-time guardrails as the best practice for reducing LLM hallucinations in production. We're discussing why hallucinations increase at scale, and the implementation tradeoffs in real systems. In short - a gateway gives you the control plane. consistent policies and prompts, intentional routing and fallbacks, tool access boundaries, and end-to-end telemetry across teams and workloads. Real-time guardrails feed off of that, and add enforcement: grounding and consistency checks that can block, rewrite, or route to review when outputs are untrusted, before they reach users or trigger unintended actions. Massive congratulations EarthGrid PBC team on their recent BBC feature highlighting the critical frontier of underground utility infrastructure. As traditional surface transmission models and public grid queues buckle under the immense power wall of the AI revolution, moving infrastructure underground is no longer just an alternative concept—it is the baseline requirement for true scalability. ⚡ Through our formal Master Strategic Advisory Agreement (MSA) and our role as Lead Strategic Arranger acting alongside EarthGrid, we are proud to drive this vision forward. Under Project Horizon, we are actively structuring, capitalizing, and executing advanced utility and energy corridors. By combining EarthGrid’s proprietary plasma tunnel-boring robotics with elite sovereign capital structuring and industrial consortium integration, we are bypassing grid bottlenecks entirely to build the physical foundation of the future. 🏗️ The execution velocity speaks for itself: • Hitting the TANEO PSCRP final review and DOE Genesis Phase II milestones back-to-back. • Executing formal alignment and an NDA with a Tier 1 nuclear engineering firm (EPCM). • Receiving confirmation for our FAST-41 pre-application and securing our official docket project number with the NRC. • Anchoring it all with an exclusive MSA featuring plasma-boring robotics IP, multi-state utility status across 48 states, CPCN, and CLEC rights. Having state-level backing, federal alignment, primary regulatory pathways, and proprietary infrastructure capabilities moving forward simultaneously completely shifts the risk profile for investors and industrial partners. This is how you build unshakeable momentum for behind-the-meter infrastructure. 🌐 $150M Asset-Backed IP: https://lnkd.in/gNNqbBuu #ArtificialIntelligence #DataCenters #EnergyCrisis #Infrastructure #EarthGrid #ProjectHorizon #TechLeadership #PowerWall #FutureOfTech #SubterraneanTech

Amazon asks FCC for extension for Leo satellite internet service. Amazon has formally asked the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to extend its regulatory deadline for project Kuiper. ❌ The Deadline: Amazon was originally required to launch 50% of its planned 3,236 satellites by July 30, 2026. ❌ The Admission: The company acknowledged it cannot meet this target, citing "manufacturing complexities," supply chain issues, and delays in the availability of launch vehicles from its partners. Buying More "Rides" from rival SpaceX In a pragmatic move to accelerate deployment, Amazon is deepening its reliance on its primary competitor, SpaceX. Amazon disclosed purchasing 10 additional launches on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. This is significant because SpaceX’s Starlink is Project Kuiper's main direct rival in the consumer satellite internet market. Amazon had previously tried to avoid using SpaceX, favoring partners like United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Jeff Bezos's own Blue Origin, but delays with those providers (specifically the Vulcan and New Glenn rockets) forced Amazon's hand. Additional Launch Contracts, alongside the SpaceX deal, Amazon also announced it has secured 12 additional launches on Blue Origin’s new Glenn rocket, signaling continued commitment to its internal space ecosystem despite the delays. Context, the move highlights the difficulties Amazon faces in catching up to Starlink, which already has thousands of operational satellites and a mature service. Amazon argues that the extension is necessary to ensure competition in the market, hoping the FCC will be flexible given the technical hurdles of building a massive constellation from scratch.

Maui students win honors with UAV powered apps in 2025 High school students in Hawaiʻi are proving that drones, data, and software can work together to protect fragile ecosystems, after U.S. Representative Jill Tokuda announced the winners of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for her district through a series of surprise campus visits. The annual competition drew nearly 13,900 student entries nationwide, placing Hawaiʻi’s winners among a very competitive field. This year’s projects stood out for their strong focus on conservation, environmental monitoring, and practical real world use of technology, including unmanned aerial vehicle imagery. ʻIwa App uses UAV imagery to fight marine debris At Le Jardin Academy, Rep. Tokuda surprised Michael Kai Hochart with the news that he earned top honors for his project, the ʻIwa App. The app is designed to quickly identify derelict fishing nets using imagery captured by unmanned aerial vehicles, while also assisting with the on site execution of large scale marine debris removal operations in Papahānaumokuākea. Photo credit: Office of US Rep. Jill Tokuda Ghost nets are a persistent threat in protected marine areas, where they can entangle wildlife and damage coral reefs over long periods of time. By using UAV imagery to locate and classify these nets more efficiently, the students that created the ʻIwa App reduces the time and resources needed to find debris across vast and often remote ocean areas. As the district’s first place winner, Hochart will be invited to the House of Code event in Washington, D.C., where Congressional App Challenge winners from across the country present their apps and meet lawmakers. His project highlights how drone based data is becoming an essential tool not just for mapping and photography, but for active environmental protection. ReefWatch turns reef health into shared data On Maui, Rep. Tokuda visited King Kekaulike High School to surprise Chelsey Miguel, who placed second with her app ReefWatch. The platform allows users to document coral reef health, record observations, and update shared records that can support ongoing conservation efforts. Photo credit: Office of US Rep. Jill Tokuda ReefWatch focuses on accessibility, making it easier for community members, students, and volunteers to contribute meaningful data about reef conditions. In a state where coral reefs face pressure from climate change, pollution, and physical damage, tools that encourage consistent documentation can help researchers and conservation groups track changes over time. While ReefWatch does not rely directly on drones, it complements aerial and underwater survey methods by adding human observations into the data mix, creating a broader picture of reef health across different locations. KanuWise highlights native plants through technology Also at Le Jardin Academy, Rep. Tokuda surprised Talei Ham with news of her third place finish for KanuWise. The app was developed in col...

Key Points of the Deal • Massive TPU Access: The deal grants Anthropic access to up to one million of Google's custom-designed Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), marking Anthropic's largest commitment to using the hardware. • Compute Capacity Expansion: This partnership is expected to bring well over a gigawatt of AI compute capacity online by 2026 to support Anthropic's rapidly expanding operations. • Anthropic's Growth: The demand for compute reflects Anthropic's explosive business growth, with its annual revenue run rate now nearing $7 billion. • Multi-Cloud Strategy: A crucial part of Anthropic's strategy is its multi-cloud architecture. Its models run across Google's TPUs, Amazon's custom Trainium chips, and Nvidia's GPUs, allowing the company to optimize for price, performance, and power efficiency across specialized workloads (like training, inference, and research). • Google's Role: Google Cloud views this expansion as a validation of the "strong price-performance and efficiency" that Anthropic has experienced with its TPUs. • Amazon's Deep Involvement: Despite the major Google deal, Amazon remains Anthropic's most deeply embedded partner, having invested $8 billion (compared to Google's confirmed $3 billion) and serving as its chief cloud provider for custom projects like the 'Project Rainier' supercomputer. In essence, the agreement solidifies a significant computing foundation for Anthropic with Google's TPUs, fueling its rapid growth while maintaining a strategic, diversified multi-cloud infrastructure to avoid single-vendor lock-in. https://lnkd.in/gJ8DSaXk

A fun thing about deeptech that almost nobody talks about: THE GOVERNMENT MIGHT MATCH YOUR SEED ROUND. Ubiquity Ventures-backed WindBorne Systems closed its very first round, then secured nearly as much again through SBIR awards. More than ten grants later, from federal weather agencies and the military, EVERY SINGLE ONE has turned into a recurring revenue contract. WindBorne CEO John Dean thinks most founders get grants wrong because they treat them like free R&D money instead of the beginning of a customer relationship. If you missed it yesterday, the full session and a writeup of John’s key points are up on Ubiquity University, where our founders teach the parts of company building nobody has written down yet. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gPmGpb7u Or straight to the Ubiquity University module here: https://lnkd.in/gqwsSDn2
