I was loving my new job and had learnt a ton and was creating record number views on my videos but again layoffs are not about impact. I am ok. Shaken but ok as I have navigated this before and I will navigate it again. Wish me luck you all.

This was my dream role and team to join. You might think I was still onboarding but that's not how I roll. I dived in and had already designed and given internal facing AI enablement workshops, shipped automations for our team, shipped a new skill to generate a minimal agent context file based on newer trends of slimming context, and built an eval suite to show developers how to approach evaluating these changes. I'm bummed. And open to opportunities.

Now I’m intentionally stepping into a larger mandate. I’m targeting VP / Head-of level roles where I can own revenue-impacting outcomes, shape platform strategy at scale, and operate with full commercial accountability. This role is extremely demanding but it is even more rewarding. This milestone isn't just about my journey; it's a perfect moment to reflect on the incredible people and community that made it possible. I am grateful for my brilliant peers at Salesforce present and past, who tirelessly collaborated on our initiatives and helped me grow along the way. And, most importantly, I want to celebrate one of the greatest communities there is: namely the #Trailblazer community with a special shout out to Salesforce Developers. I’m so grateful for the vibrant conversations and passionate feedback that I receive daily. Working with exceptional peers, engaging with the community at events and online is a constant reminder of the scale at which we operate and the impact that we have on so many people’s careers. This drives me forward and, for this, I want to thank you. The learning journey never stops.

Julián Duque liked thisJulián Duque liked thisI started doing AI-assisted engineering back in October, 2025. I was shocked at how good it was. Yes, it produced a lot of garbage but properly tamed with static and dynamic analysis, it actually produces really good code, much better than the code I've seen humans writing. IMO, all the AI-slop FUD is biased, very likely due to people not applying engineering rigor and just vibe-coding all the way through. Or perhaps, people having outsized expectations on AI coding agents.

To be able to serve this community every day is simply an honor! Julián Duque reacted on thisJulián Duque reacted on thisI'm joining CopilotKit as Director of Product to build the future of generative UI -- and I get to team up with my old friend Mike Ryan to do it! Before I got into DevRel or product management, I was a fullstack developer. I built C#/.NET and JavaScript applications, designed APIs, led an AngularJS-to-Angular migration, and ran the Angular Portland meetup for five years. I created a 200-lesson course on Angular migrations, built courses for egghead.io, and was a Google Developer Expert for web technologies. CopilotKit is the enterprise-ready frontend stack for agents. The frontend frameworks I spent years working with were all solving the same core problem: how to keep the interface in sync with the backend, and how to give users meaningful control over the result. Generative UI is that same problem at a completely different scale. The backend is an LLM. The state is an agent's reasoning process. The interface needs to let a human review, approve, and redirect that reasoning in real time. Huge thank you to Atai Barkai and Jordan Ritter for the opportunity! I wrote a post laying out the full thesis, covering the AG-UI protocol, why human oversight is permanent even as models improve, and why the enterprise SaaS re-architecture (Salesforce going headless, per-seat pricing dying) makes generative UI inevitable. This role continues a journey I’ve come to deeply enjoy—supporting and scaling acquisition-led businesses. From Slack to Heroku, and now partnering across Regrello and Apromore, I’ve been fortunate to work at the intersection of product, go-to-market, and operations to drive growth during pivotal moments of transformation. Over the past couple of years at Heroku, I had the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team to build strong execution foundations—from operating models to systems that strengthened execution across the business. I’m especially proud of what we built together and the way the team consistently showed up to support one another. As I step into this next chapter, I’m focused on translating strategy into execution, designing operating models, and driving business performance. Grateful for the many colleagues, business partners, and mentors who made the Heroku journey so meaningful—and excited for what’s ahead. Onward 🚀
