Kelly Szatkowski reacted on thisKelly Szatkowski reacted on thisAfter nearly 40 years in the US Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve, I will hauled down my flag for the final time today, September 30th 2026. I was once told, “Leave it all on the field.” Looking back, I believe I have. But I also know that no one does that alone. Every accomplishment in my Navy career was a team effort made possible by sailors who served with honor, courage and commitment, mentors who challenged and supported me, as well as leaders and friends who believed in me along the way. Most of all, I am deeply grateful to my family, my true north star. For nearly four decades, my wife Evelyn (Lynn) and our daughters carried the demands of this commitment alongside me. They made sacrifices, adapted to every change, and gave me the strength to keep going. Among all the extraordinary people I’ve met, my family understood better than anyone what my Naval service meant to me. The Navy will always be a part of who I am, but the time has now come to reset and narrow my focus. To that point, I’m thankful to have found that same sense of purpose with my team at Peloton Interactive that I enjoyed in the Navy. The uniform and the mission are different, but the fundamentals endure: be brilliant at the basics, lead with empathy, keep moving forward, and never forget that success belongs to the team. To every sailor, mentor, teammate, colleague, friend, and family member who helped carry me through this journey - thank you! The flag is down. It’s an incredible achievement for T-554, which services more than 60 stores across seven states. But this legacy isn’t just about the building and its scale. It’s about the people ... the current 870+ team members - including four who have been there from the beginning! - who have kept T-554 running over the years. This team is the reason for its longstanding success. And it was such a meaningful moment to have all these team members joined by their family, friends, former team members, and the Pueblo community for our anniversary celebration last week. We continue to invest in Pueblo – from the recent modernization of its conveyance system, to developing the team under Zachary Frank. That’s because whether it’s an established supply chain facility like T-554 Pueblo, or one that’s newer to Target, absolutely nothing beats the power of improved capabilities and great people working together.

DID YOU KNOW… According to ATRI’s Top 100 Truck Bottleneck List, Chicago’s I-294 at I-290/I-88 ranks as the nation’s top freight bottleneck, underscoring both the scale of congestion and the opportunity for meaningful improvement. Thanks to ATRI’s analysis, local, state, and federal governments can use the list to prioritize infrastructure dollars where they can make the most impact, which exactly why this interchange is being rebuilt. Though construction may bring short-term delays, the Illinois Tollway Authority projects completion by the end of 2027. When finished, the upgrades should ease traffic, accelerate freight movement, and enhance the efficiency of one of the country’s most important transportation corridors.
