Kenneth Bowles shared thisThe Chamber of Commerce here really does great work! Just one more in a string of successes along with the City, the County, the Industrial Foundation and the Development Corporation of Abilene. Some of the reasons that the population here continues to grow.Kenneth Bowles shared thisWe announced on Monday that our community has been awarded a $1 million grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of its $100 million Community Navigator Pilot Program, an American Rescue Plan initiative designed to reduce barriers that underrepresented and underserved entrepreneurs often face in accessing the programs they need to recover, grow, or start their businesses. Kenneth Bowles shared thisI know this is a business application, but I wanted to ask those who believe in the power of prayer for your prayers for one of my customers/friends, Craig Carter, and his family. His family was the victim of a hit and run on I35 north of ft worth on Tuesday afternoon. His 3 year old son, Rex, is in critical condition at Cook’s Children’s hospital in ft. Worth. Rex lost his grandmother and his 5 year old sister, Lux, at the scene of the accident. All anyone can do is pray and wait.

Kenneth Bowles liked thisKenneth Bowles liked thisMost CEOs over 40 I speak to are the most disciplined people they know, but their results have stopped matching their effort. They never stopped training. They eat well most of the week. So they do what's always worked. Train harder. Add more HIIT. Try keto again. Start over every Monday. And it gets worse. Because it's not a discipline problem. It's a strategy problem. After 40, your hormones, your recovery and your calendar have all changed. The approach that worked in your twenties is now working against you. More effort won't fix that. A better strategy will. I've spent 20 years in body composition coaching. I'm 44. No cardio, no HIIT, no keto. I train for the body I have now, not the one I had at 25. Now I coach male CEOs, founders and senior executives over 40 who want their results to match their effort again. Every week I post about training and nutrition built around your schedule, your travel and your recovery. For men who don't have time to start over every Monday. You'd never run your company on effort alone. Stop running your body that way. You've already got the discipline. Connect with me and I'll show you where the strategy's going wrong.

Kenneth Bowles liked thisSan José del Cabo is not just a destination; it’s a vibrant canvas where culture, nature, and soul intertwine. Yesterday afternoon, I had the privilege of meeting Jeanette Chara Lajud Becil and Wendy Tejeda from Mexico Planners in person, and it was nothing short of inspiring. Getting to know them better opened up a world of possibilities for collaboration, and I’m excited about the amazing experiences we can create for my guests and clients in beautiful Los Cabos. We kicked off our day with a delightful lunch at Acre, a stunning venue known for its commitment to sustainability and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This year, Acre proudly received a Michelin award, a testament to its exceptional culinary artistry and vibrant atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where every dish tells a story, and the ambiance is as inviting as the food is delicious. After our meal, we strolled through the enchanting grounds of Flora Farms. This magical farm-to-table destination offers not just fresh produce but also a unique experience where guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Did you know that Flora Farms grows over 100 varieties of organic vegetables and herbs? It’s a true labor of love, and the commitment to sustainable practices makes it a model for others in the industry. Working with Mexico Planners means partnering with a team that understands the nuances of crafting unforgettable experiences. They handle everything from venue selection and logistics to curating personalized itineraries for corporate retreats and events. Their expertise allows companies to focus on what they do best while leaving the details to the pros. I’m excited about the potential partnerships and the opportunity to elevate the experiences we offer in Los Cabos. Here’s to new connections and unforgettable adventures ahead! #LosCabos #MexicoPlanners #Acre #FloraFarms #Collaboration #ExperientialTravel

Kenneth Bowles liked thisKenneth Bowles liked thisThis is what leadership and volunteerism look like. 💚 A group of women. Different industries. Different experiences. One shared commitment—to Girl Scouts and to the girls and communities we serve. Several of these incredible women have each had the honor of serving as President of the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida and while our terms may have ended, our commitment to the mission clearly has not. 💚🫶 Because leadership in Girl Scouts isn’t simply about holding a position. It’s about showing up, giving back, lifting others, and leaving the organization stronger for those who come next.✨ It’s about passing the torch—and continuing to support it together. This is the strength of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. 💚 Women leading women. Women supporting women. Women creating opportunities for girls to become the leaders of tomorrow. 💪 Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. 🤩 #GirlScouts #GirlScoutLeadership #VolunteerLeadership #PastPresidents #WomenSupportingWomen #CommunityLeadership #GSWCF

Kenneth Bowles liked thisKenneth Bowles liked thisYesterday, I closed a chapter that has been nearly five years in the making. When I moved back to Abilene in 2017, I knew I wanted to get involved in our community and specifically with Abilene Young Professionals. What I didn’t know was just how much AYP would become a part of my life. For nearly five years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the AYP Steering Committee. Along the way, I chaired committees, spent several years leading 20 Under 40, and had the incredible opportunity to serve as AYP Chair. But looking back, the titles and positions aren’t what stand out the most. It’s the people. I joined because I wanted to get involved. I’m leaving with friendships I never expected, memories I’ll always treasure, and a much deeper appreciation for the people who choose to invest their time and talents into making Abilene better. 20 Under 40 will always hold a special place in my heart. Getting to recognize and celebrate people who are doing incredible things in our community was easily one of my favorite parts of serving. There’s something pretty special about getting a front-row seat to the talent, passion, and leadership we have right here in Abilene. Yesterday, I officially rolled off the Steering Committee, and I’ll admit, it was bittersweet. Five years is a long time to be part of something, and it’s hard to walk away without feeling a little sentimental. But I’m also excited. AYP will continue to grow, change, and create opportunities for the next group of young professionals to step up, get involved, and build relationships of their own. I can’t wait to see what they do with it. I may be moving from the Steering Committee to the sidelines, but I’ll still be one of AYP’s biggest cheerleaders. What a privilege these nearly five years have been. 🩵

There’s something special about coming together as a community to support organizations that are making a meaningful difference—not only for the people we serve, but for the animals who depend on us, too.🐶🐈⬛ I’m grateful to be part of a bank that believes in showing up for the communities we call home and proud to spend an evening supporting the incredible work of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. And of course, getting dressed up and enjoying a wonderful evening with great people made it even better! 😊 Community. Connection. Giving back. That’s what it’s all about. ❤️🐾 #INB #TampaBay #Community #GivingBack #TuxesAndTails #HumaneSocietyTampaBay

✨ Success Story Spotlight: Extraco Banks Founded in 1902, Extraco Banks is the largest independent financial institution in central Texas, serving more than 140,000 customers with a full suite of personal and commercial banking services that help build stronger communities and support local businesses. 🚧 The Challenge: Extraco’s hiring team was spending significant time on early-stage candidate screening. Their hiring team conducted traditional phone interviews, contributing to a lengthy hiring process that took 10–12 weeks on average. They needed a way to streamline pre-screening, reclaim valuable recruiter time, and accelerate time-to-hire. 💡 The Solution: By introducing interviewstream’s digital interviewing tools — including on demand video interviews and interview connect — Extraco shifted pre-screening to a more efficient, flexible process that let candidates interview on their own schedule while freeing up recruiters to focus on the most qualified talent. 🎯 The Results: - 50% reduction in time-to-hire - $817 saved per candidate screened A smarter interviewing process means faster hiring, lower cost, and a better experience for both recruiters and candidates.
